[Completed] How to gather info on my device, about rooting/unrooting it & stuff like that. - XDA Assist

I got this free tablet along with a course of Spanish.
It's a 9" android device. According the documentation that came with it, it has an Alwinner A33 Quadcore, 512MB ram, 4GB storage & is operated with Android 4.4.
It has no brand, but it comes from a Belgian company named GP-electronic.
As soon as I got it, I started installing my most favourite apps & one of those (my mobile banking app) gave me this warning I never had before:
Code:
Rooted Device Detected. We advice you to use a non-rooted device.
And now I wanted to know how I can unroot it & reclaim it for my own, because I notice some other things have been modified / disabled by the supplier....
How do I gather the necessary info, where to look & stuff like that is something new for me.
Cheers
Zotteken

[Completed] [Q] Android Home Phone, Binatone iDECT iHOME (help needed)

Android Home Phone, Binatone iDECT iHOME3
Hello everyone,
I need pointed to the right forum.
I recently purchased the above phone, landphone died, this came second hand from eBay. It works perfectly, but I mainly wanted it because its Android, and I can use my Google contacts and not have to input them one by one. And because its Android!
The specs are on a photo include below. It is rooted with SU app installed and working.
I downloaded zipped Gapps for 2.3.5, extracted to folder, then put the folder on the ExtSD, then to IntSD.
My problem is this, it shipped with the SlideMe market, I'm trying, and failing to get Google Play sideloaded on it. There is no option to add a Google account of course, if I try to direct install, it gives the message "you need to add a google account", if I click yes, the app fc's. If I push the app to system/app, the same occurs.
I'm not the most technical Android guy, but I've been flashing etc, for a few years now, on various makes and models, but this has me stumped. I've had to flash Gapps before for ROM's, I've sideloaded apps too, but am I missing something here. What gives the extra option to add a Google account? I've done this before on a few tablets etc, never had a problem.
Where is it best to post/get some help? (and hopefully not be laughed at to hard!)
Someone posted a thread over this phone (years ago), 3 answers, nothing helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Skivit

[Completed] Nextbook 8 (NX785QC8G) confused

I'm so confused why my tablet doesn't have internal sd. All of the memory space is placed as app space. I also can't move apps to sd, is this normal? I ordered this tablet from an online shop and was delivered to me already updated with kitkat 4.4.2, and the System update setting is not available. I saw that this tablet is supposed to have the OTA feature according to its website (nextbookusa). I was able to move apps to sd with my other devices running jb 4.2.2, why can't I do it here? I can access the external sd using stock file explorer but there seems to be no option to move apps. I tried rooting, no luck, i don't want to flash a custom rom just to root, I want pure stock.
Tablet : Nextbook 8 (NX785QC8G)
Specs : Quad Core Cortex-A9 @1.6ghz
Rockchip 3066
8gb rom
1gb ram
4.4.2 kitkat

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist again.
Please review the advice given in response to your initial Assist post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/nextbook-8-nx785qc8g-confused-t3194489.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist here is no forum specifically for the Nextbook 8 at this time but I suggest that you ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond. I also see a few references to your tablet brand from a site search at http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=nextbook which might be worth reviewing but nothing that seems immediately relevant to your query, and contacting the manufacturer might be your bet bet,
Good luck!

[Completed] Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90-3 (NOT Z90-7) Firmware/ROM Request

Hey Everyone,
Long story short, i bought a Lenovo z90-7 on ebay from china. I received a z90-3 in the mail.
Couldnt get them to ship z90-7 for replacement, so i got a full refund from ebay. free phone. yay.
Phone is loaded with bloatware, and spyware. every 30 mins a message pops up trying to get me to download a new piece of crap software, or bloat, or spyware. It came with a chinese rom, changed to english, and is not rooted - however it is unlocked so i can use it with any sim card, and it currently works "properly" (minus the bloat/spyware).
I have checked everywhere in XDA, and like 50 pages of google under every search term i can think of. currently, there is no available rom/solutions for this phone.
Lenovo support is useless, and only has china phone support. i cant get a download link for an FTP from lenovo to get the factory rom to mod myself.
I need help with these things:
1) i need to root the phone so i can mess with it
2) i need an international/english version of some kind of rom that will work with the phone - OR
3) i need a source for a universal android rom, of which i can load drivers for the chipsets(download link to master driver site/android site?)
info of what the phone currently shows:
Model: Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90-3
Android Version: 5.0.2
Build Number: VIBEUI_V2.5_1522_5.130.1_ST_Z90-3
Email me with any information you can come up with, thank you!!!

[Completed] ROM + Install Procedure for ZTE N817

Hi there. I have tried for the love of me to find something on the internet that would pertain to this specific device and have found nothing but specs on a website and dumb questions about the phone that don't pertain to what I am looking for. The phone in question is ZTE N817 from Assurance Wireless on the Virgin Mobile network. I am looking for a custom ROM for it because I no longer have service on the phone but because of that it won't boot past the "Hello. Welcome to Assurance Wireless" screen and it makes the device completely unusable therefore my wanting to install a custom ROM in order to get functionality out of the device as a smart device with WiFi and all just no phone service. And if there is anything anyone can provide involving a firmware download and an installation procedure such as a specific program to use to install the firmware using Windows that would be great.
Here is a link to the info on the device.

[QUESTION] Rooting Gigaset Gs100 Oreo 8.1

Hi everyone! I own a Gs100 device and decided to search how to root it, if it's possible at all. The reason why I want to root it is because it's RAM capacity is very low, 1GB, and it can hardly run Android Os itself. In addition i want to look for some apps in order to make the device run more smoothly. I read this article ( howtodo rocks/how-to-root-gigaset-gs100/ ) and made me believe it not worth trying to root Gs100 because of the risk of failure (bricking), i don't care about a voided warranty, since it's an one-hundred-euro device. I want to ask for advice whether should I try to root it, or not. It would be helpful if someone has a personal experience. I will try to provide as much information as possible about my phone's current state.
Gigaset gs100 specifications - devicespecifications com/en/model/22b44be8
Android security patch level - October 5, 2018
Baseband version - MOLY.LR12A.R2.MP.V52.11
Build number - GS100_HW1.0_11132018_V14
Thank you in advance!
P.S.: Sorry, i can't post external links yet, since i am new member

Since there's little to no threads/posts that's specific to your devices model, you will then have to look at the fact that your device has a Mediatek MT6739 Chipset.
With limited threads for the MT6739 device, your next best option is to search for the MT67xx.
Keep in mind that the MT67xx means that it's for all Mediatek devices that begins with MT67.
Here's a small list of threads that should help give you a good start on your journey to root/development that just may also work for your specific device.
Be sure to ask for some support and guidance within one of them for clarity just to be on the safe side.

A quick FYI... Your device is a 64-bit as well. This does matter too.
Good Luck!
