Since development for Marshmallow is so slow for our device, I know I'd have to flash a kernel and modem and am okay with that.
Would also like to know
I think any international rom that's not exynos will work basically.

I bought a used Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) recently, and it was updated to Lollipop 5.0. And after few days I found out that the Phone Radio/Modem was not functioning well (I almost had full 4G coverage when I was using my J7 with the same SIM card, and now it's EDGE. What the ....! ).
I'm not an Android or any type of Mobile expert (not a good English speaker at least ). So as their were rumors saying that the Lollipop update for N9005 had many issues, I removed that and installed the CM13 ROM just to find that it was not the solution for my problem. So I searched the web for almost a day and now I think that the problem is with the Modem and CM13 didn't change it.
My current Baseband version: N9005XXUGBPB1
I was going to downgrade my phone to Android Kitkat 4.4.2, hoping that would downgrade the Radio/Modem as well and fix the problem. But then I got this wise idea to ask some wise guys in this forum if this is gonna work or not?
Hey guys ,
Mid 2018 , is there any root method for the 7.0 nougat official rom for the Verizon S6 ?
Any custom roms prerooted?
Is there anything up to date currently for this phone or there's no development going for the verizon variant ?
Converting would be nice cose there's a ton of stuff for the regular international s6 but boy this verizon with it's locked bootloader ...
I have searched the forums, seen a sketchy post about prerooted nougat rom, send you to a video with links but people conplaining it doesn't work , searched to see if there's a way to at least root it to install some mods like dual speaker , camera mod, but nope, ping pong doesn't work auto root doesnt work , nothing works for the 920V
Is there anything that does work ?
At this point, I don't think we will see much more development due to the age of the hardware. I personally held out as long as I could but got tired of waiting and ditched Samsung.

I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S8+ model SM-G955U (Snapdragon) on T-Mobile USA
- build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQJ8
- service provider SW ver: SA0MC-SM-G955U_OYN_TMB_0187 98891 a315a30494859 TMB/TMB/TMB
- The phone is a USA version purchased directly from TMOUSA.
From the build number, I guess my bootloader is version 1, right?
What is the best method to flash TWRP recovery and then install a custom rom on my device?
There's a post here, but it mentions version 5 bootloaders. Will that method work for me? Is there a better method instead? I've been reading threads all day, but I'm more confused than when I started due to the different models of the S8+.
Is there a LineageOS v15 or AOKP 8.1 ROM for my device? I want a rooted ROM without GAPPS and I prefer a fully-featured ROM like AOKP. Any suggestions for me? (I want to move up from 7.1 and I prefer a stable ROM, so I thought Android 8.1 might be the best option.)
I would like to port TAB S2 Nougat Rom for my Note 4 N910K Exynos 5433 phone. I always flashed custom roms but all of them have too many features and I all want is stock Nougat for Note 4. I don't need the S-pen functionality just Nougat and network to work nicely.
I never did any rom development or any compiling but I'm willing to learn.
It would be really appreciated if someone could list all the software and steps for porting.
As I said I have no idea how its done but I know that I need stock base firmware and kernel so it actually boots up.
I'm trying to resurrect an old S7 by installing a Custom ROM on it. Some of the ROMs seem to support only the Exynos version of the S9, but others do not specify. For instance, crDroid does not specify either version (https://crdroid.net/dl.php), while Pixel Experience specifies the Exynos version (https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/herolte/). If no version is specified, can I assume it will install on my phone? Or do those that specify the Exynos version also work on the Snapdragon? Do you know a custom ROM that will install on my phone?
I'm no computer wizard but I have some experience modding hardware and software on Mac computers. I'd like to experiment on the S7 so that I can install a custom ROM on my S9+ when it's no longer supported....
Well if you ask for Snapdragon S7
Right now it has no roms
all those there are for the exynos since the snapdragon has a locked bootloader which i don't know how they still didn't find a way to unlock it,also exynos roms will not work for snapdragon
they will make the phone stuck on boot
