Currently using Huawei Honor 4c(kitkat 4.4.2)..can anyone tell me why can't i hide apps in it ? Though upgrading to lollipop and marshmellow will do so but don't ant to do that..
And if it is not possible in kitkat by default then how does this feature comes with third party launcher(hola, nova etc)..I mean if hide apps feature can be enabled with these laucher then why not a separate app only for this? Yeah there are some apps but why they want rooted device...Here's my questions bellow-
1)If third party launcher can hide apps in kitkat then why not developers making a separate app for this?
2) Can I lock app folder? for example in app drawer some time we make a group folder of photo editior's app or make a group folder of games..can i lock that group folder??????

Hi there,
does anyone know a way how to hide apps from the drawer?
Google says i could use a different drawer (i don't want that) or i could disable them with tools like Titanium Backup (which needs root).
So any ideas? And why are there even TWO apps for Facebook and TWO Apps for Twitter?
I don't think you can hide drawer icons in Sense. You need to use a launcher like AWDLauncher.EX or Launcher Pro to be able to do that.
HTC has its own Facebook and Twitter apps/widgets, and the others are the official apps from the Android Market.
Hello fellow N5 users~! I am hoping that someone out there knows the solution to my frustration.
Coming from TouchWiz and 3rd party launchers such as Apex and Hololauncher, I'm very used to having the ability to hide app icons inside the app drawer. If I have the apps as shortcuts on my homescreens, dock, and folders, I like hiding the reduntant app icons inside the drawer so that when I do enter the drawer, I don't have to filter through the apps (I have 120 apps installed).
I found some apps that promise to hide apps inside the drawer but they seem to only work by disabling the apps, which leads to app icons in the homescreens, dock, and folders to disappear as well.
So is there a way to hide apps inside the app drawer like we can with Apex?

There is no way to do this with the stock launcher.
Hello guys,
I need "Hide app feature in app drawer for 4.4.2 launcher I9500" which was very useful to hide apps from app drawer in 4.3 roms launcher.
Thanks

Hey bro, i use "AppHider" work perfect!

There's also an xposed module called "hide apps xposed"

I'd also like that. Samsung usually doesn't remove anything but simply hides it (like the possibility of recording calls through the dialer), so I believe the option would come back by simply editing a string somewhere.
Not works for me too
Is there possibility to hide any app or make a separate tab with chosen apps in app drawer without whole launcher. Its so annoying when search any app to see all useless samsung apps or apps that are needed but you never use them with start within app drawer. Some kind of favorite apps or something ... ? Also search functionality in app drawer ?
Hello all- When I use an alternate launcher such as Apex, Mini, etc.. the clock widgets on the homescreen never update, they essentially stay on the same time as when I first placed the widget.
Is there some setting that I am missing or is this something Huawei implemented to stop people from using other launchers ?
Has anyone else had this problem ??
Cheers, LL13-
Hi,
I only had this issue with 3rd party apps like Zooper. I needed to protect the app from being closed when the phone goes to standby/switches off the screen ("Settings", "Protected apps", enable the switch for the 3rd party app which should not bee closed when phone goes on standby).
Maybe you also need to enable the same option for the 3rd party launcer as well. I'm using Nova Launcher and it is protected from being closed as well.
