Hello all,
I'm on Virgin Mobile and just got my Galaxy J7... I am going to root to remove bloatware (no custom ROM yet) keeping stock ROM for now. Can I root before swapping headsets and registering the phone without causing any problems
Thanks

this is my first time on xda. i am new to rooting. i have successfully rooted my us cellular galaxy s4 sch-r540. I now want to flash a ROM. how do i find ROMs for my sch-r540?
hey there,
getting a new S4 this week!
i've been reading these forums, found the moto root and i still have a few questions about this:
1. this root method doesn't require a factory reset, therefore i won't lose my apps?
2. i rooted my S2 using Odin, and had to install the Google programs from a package. Does this here S4 root method require the same?
3. is there a CyanogenMod version that people are using with the S4, or are well still waiting on it?
4. has anyone tried custom launchers such as Apex? Working?
thanks!
I couldn't find a solution too specific to my phone, but was mostly just wondering, Does anyone know if the newest CF-auto-root is compatible with a Canadian SGH-I337M; Ver 4.4.2; Baseband VLUFNE1 on the MTS network? if so, where is a safe download source of the .tar?
And if not if there is anything that is compatible? Keep in mind im not looking to flash custom roms, i essentially want root to use rooted apps and all the devince freedom that comes with it. essentially a basic root. Also Ive previously rooted my S2 and an old motodroid so theres no need to review the rooting process ive got that down.
Thanks, any and all advice is appreciated!
Hello !!
I have bought a samsung galaxy A3 is (almost) a great phone, but i cant find any reliable rom to root it.
It is running android 5.02 (lolipop) and the model is A300F/DS (dual sim). I have tried to root it with two different roms. The first time nothing happen, it seemed like it rooted but not. The second rom, it worked perfect but after the shut off or restart, it couldnt turn on (only in download mode).
After i deal with a soft brick now iam with the stock rom and unrooted
Is there any rom or method to work reliable? anyone with the same phone?
first method - rom
link from a youtube video
second method - rom
link with a turorial from another site
Thanks!!

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.

Has anyone been able to get a working root / ROM for the J3 Eclipse on Verizon yet? It would be so nice to be able to remove all this bloatware Samsung UI and apps since the phone isn't all that fast in the first place. It has been years since I rooted any phone so maybe I am just overlooking something, been searching but no luck so far.
From what I can tell, your J3 is identical to ours on Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile. Our TWRP may be compatible with your device. @ashyx would know better than I. Hardware wise they appear to be the same. Now software is another matter. Your partitions may be different than ours so I do not advise a flash of our recovery. But it is worth asking those that know more about it. Will depend on whether your bootloader is locked also.
