Help meeeeeee :crying::crying::crying::crying:

mec_whl is only Sprint USA version. You need to revert back CID to sprint, get RUU for sprint from HTC USA and flash with normal RUU flashing.
After all functioning based on Sprint version, you can modify again follow tutorial on XDA for HTC Sprint to works on your country

I'm from VN, too. I'm not sure if my single e8 is sprint or not.
at first, when I factory reset, its start language is chinese and the home page of browser is baidu. but it also have google play
then i try to find the imei 352090065932556 but the imei page said that it's wrong imei
the serial number said that it is sprint and in bootloader screen, it was mec_whl so i try to install ruu 5.0 sprintand, it doesn't receive sim card (when i go to setting>mobile data>APN it said no sim card found) :crying:
then i try to install some custom rom through twrp. no sim card found too.
i try to change mid and install the ruu of Vietnam, taiwan, but still same result
and cell radio makes it consume lot of battery(10% per hour)
Don't know what to do now

it's a Sprint variant, I'm 100% sure and got hardware issue I guess, I experienced one case before, even everything works but not phone signal even whatever you flash

looks like seller do that job very deep on NV value, change imei, etc... To revert back should be learn on many thread in XDA for Sprint phone... How to change NV value, imei, etc.
Originally Sprint work with CDMA some GSM freq perhaps limited.

how did you solve that case? or just use it as a tablet?
These days, I try to fix it. I think that it should be another rom ship for international, hong kong or taiwan version(after I bought it, I made a factory reset, then its started language was chinese) which is compatible for my phone, so I flash lots of them. some make it brick, some make phone bootloop when turn off. but nothing make my phone to receive sim again :crying:

Ive read post about goldcards and engineer Hboot (which say dont use on branded phone) and someone said just flash a unbranded ruu and it will work but then i read if you do this it will brick the phone.
So all i want is to be helped down the right path

Any help along the right path would be good..
Cheers in advanced
from the information that you've provided I'm guessing that your device has used an XTC (see link in my signature for explanation), which means that its fully unlocked (hence S-OFF and 1111111 cidnum)
you now need to root and then flash a custom recovery
I'd also advise to flash the ENG hboot, then the world is your oyster
See the general forum sticky for simple guides that should assist, other see the guides in the INDEX see my sig.
Thanks
had to say a BIG THANK YOU for your help.
Im now of to install recovery ect and engineers Hboot (after reading your index of course) been away for awhile but so glad that im aback and that the help is still here unlike some forums which shell remain nameless....

HTC Sensation XE ICS ugrade SOS?!

So I have spent the last 3 days trying to upgrade my Sensation XE to ICS and have encountered/overcome most of the problems along the way. Yes, it's S-off, unlocked, 4 ext installed etc. I am at a stage now where I've flashed 3 different Roms (Darkforest Sensation XE ICS 6.6.0 is what I'm currently on) and each time i've had the same error. After all the updates etc it won't recognise the data on my sim card. The sim card is not locked, there is just no signal.
at closer inspection of the settings, I can't turn the mobile networks on, nor will the phone detect any. So my questions are:
1) Can I fix this by getting the appropriate RUU Vodafone file and by flashing it?
2) if yes, does anyone know where to get the RUU vodafone file for the sensation XE in australia?
3) if no, are there other fixes?
Below I've pasted the getvar command for everything about my phone:

My phone can't detect network signals, please help
Thank you
If you go in settings, then phone settings, and then status, does it show your phone number? If not, you may just have a dead SIM card. Happened to me once, went to the store and got a new one and it was fine.
check the imei ..is it matching ?
also check if the sim is loose ..if so put in a small paper at the top between sim and sim try and see
dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone information ..and check the status of the network mode ..it should be WCDMA preferred ..if it is on this mode ..try changing to different other modes and verify signal at each point

HOX screen partially not responding on stock ROM

Dear XDA'ers, need you expert opinion.
Got a new HOX Endeavor from a guy, he claims its clean and unmodified. Started using the phone on all stock, got a SIM card
in and it worked fine for a few days, then, the touch would completely stop working and i wasnt able to unlock the
phone and get to home screen. at first a restart would solve it and things would go back to normal, then the next few days
it would stop responding completly exept for a few lucky strikes. but when i remove the SIM card after a few restarts
everything works beautiflly, exep. i've applied the OTA's and now using 4.2.2 with Sense 5.
one wierd thing is that i have a 11111111 CID, i believe its a SuperCID?, i did not change it myself. also the phone is S-off, how come if the phone is unmodidied? if someone messed with it can the result be the touchscreen partially not responding?
I did a factory reset, did not help, then researched the forums and unlocked bootloader.
heres my device info:

So basiclly my question is, Do you think its a hardwar fault, or maybe firmware or kernel related, i would really
appriciate any help. (I was considering a RUU or updating kernel). THANK YOU!!!

[Q] SoftBricked HTC One X don't know what else to try

Hi Guys, let me express my gratitude beforehand for all the help that you have provided gratuitously to so many users so far. I happen to find myself in a delicate situation with my newly acquired(last week) HTC One X, that after a few days of use prompted me to install an update. I foolishly accepted and started the installation. After it rebooted it found itself in a bootloop - starting, vibrating for a second, displaying the Quietly Brilliant logo and then restarting again. I then began browsing on the XDA forum and researching on this particular problem. I started with the common troubleshooting steps : tried entering the recovery menu (power+vol down) and selecting "Recovery" - that didn't do anything differently-, then i tried a factory reset, same thing, then i tried and installed the RUU that i think is for my device(i'll post the name below) that ended up with what i thought was a successful process but ended up in the same bootloop after the restart.
At that point i read further and decided to root/unlock my device so i can try and install a custom ROM. Unlocked my device using the unlock token provided by HTC and then installed the clockwork recovery tool. After that i tried installing a couple of custom roms like ARHD31 which seemed like it was going to work(got through the configuration settings but after the restart this time was stuck at a HTC ONE logo ). I later read that for this to work you need a newer HBoot(mine is 1.12.0000). I then tried flasing an older rom with ICS(Renovate) that did not work either. I am not ruling out that i may be botching up somewhere in the process though, that's why i am seeking your help. The RUU that i tried for my device is:
RUU_Endeavor_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
My details for my device were as follows(also attached a picture):

[Q] 4G/LTE on Vodafone UK

Hi all
Got myself a HTC One E8 M8Sw, imported from china. Can't seem to get a 4G signal on it, does anyone know if the handset should support it? (Sim1 only I believe supports 4G/LTE)
I've googled the 4G bands that Vodafone use, but isn't very clear... I'm suspecting not as I only seem to pick up 3G and HSPA
Any help/confirmation would be appreciated
Cheers!

Thanks Danny.... It doesn't appear to work in the UK - looking at the APN settings it seems to be locked to WAP (padlock showing) - I have another APN setting to try but it doesn't switch to it... anyone know how to remove the preconfigured APN thats showing Vodaphone WAP
I'm running BinDroid 4.4.4

Try to reconfugure if you can't remove.
Have a look here: http://apn-settings.com/uk/vodafone-uk-apn-settings/

You can try and change your device
Change your CID to main HTC via fastboot:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Change your MID to EU model via adb:
adb shell
su
echo -ne '\x30\x00\x50\x00\x41\x00\x4A\x00\x32\x00\x31\x00\x30\x00\x30\x00\x30' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=16384

Flash a good EU Rom with APN List:

Thanks for all your help Danny - am trying your instructions now... just installing KK 4.4.2 as you have suggested. Is there a big difference in 4.4.4 of Bindroid and the one you have suggested then?... I assumed 4.4.4 was just the latest version of your ROM?

The 4.4.4 is a Port from m8
The difference between the two are small, why I rather be on a Rom ment for our device.

The difference between the two are small, why I rather be on a Rom ment for our device.

OK that makes sense, well I installed 4.4.2 as you suggested (including the fix) - I'm having problems getting a signal on SIM1 at all now.... I got a signal on the second boot and now nothing since - have rebooted the phone several times but I get no signal at all... have added a vodafone APN myself and still no luck. I have a second sim which is vodafone pay and go - and this does pick up a signal showing full bars
Very strange

Got the networking working again (had to re-register on network) - still no 4G though... only HSPA

Hi mistxx and DutchDanny,
For the last few months I have tried to have 4G/LTE on my Indian M8sd dual sim with 3UK. I am in Northampton (strong 4G signal area). I am S-off, tried many things including baseband version update/chinese RUU/ several bindroid ROMs/ changed CID from HTC__038 to superCID. Still no luck.
I saw in the forum sometimes ago that Lollipop update may solve the issue.
If you get a solution please let me know.
kind regards.
