This happens usually when light falls directly on the lens. This light acts as a backlight on the image. So, click pictures in backlight mode by using a custom camera app.

Hi guys,
I'm experiencing a weird issue with the volume buttons. After a while of using my phone without a reboot it happens that, if I hit a volume down or up button, the volume jumps many steps by just on click. It gets almost impossible to adjust the volume properly. The only thing to get normal volume behavior is to reboot the phone. However after another while the volume button bug appears again.
Does anyone have an idea how to repair this bug?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Check for any updates released by the company. Mostly, issues like this are fixed in updates. If nothing works, try flashing a custom ROM.

Hello guys, maybe I'm a bit offtopic but here's my question. I want to buy a new android smartphone (I'm coming from Apple's iPhone 5S) and I think I'm gonna buy one of the Huawei. However, I'm a bit confused. I'm in between of the P9 Lite (the 3 GB Ram variant) and the Honor 8. I'm not gonna go heavy use on either of them but I want to have good multitasking as I often forget to close background apps and I don't care about heavy gaming either. Here are the advantages and disadvantages I figured out myself yet:
Honor 8: OTG, more RAM, USB-C, fast-charging
I didn't found anywhere the SAR values
P9 Lite: FM Radio Receiver, 100€ less on my country, IPS Panel
Less RAM, no OTG, high SAR values
The other thing I'm concerned about is about the modding of the smartphones. Are there any custom roms, or cm roms?
If anyone could help me I would very grateful. Does the 100€ more worth?

It shouldn't get hot when you are taking pictures... I'd contact Honor and report the problem to them.

Honor 8 all the way,it s worth the 100$. The SAR as i saw here on XDA is one of the biggest, like 1.42( no ideea what ??).
But the camera and the speed is better than the P9 lite, and the design, the design is way batter, and the battery i think.

Thank you for your reply mate. As I find out with further digging SAR depends on the band your are on that moment. And yeah the max value is pretty high.

I just got this phone last night and spent the morning rooting it to install viper4android and Im pretty disappointed at how low the volume is with this phone even with everything maxed. My $40 budget Samsung blew this thing out of the water volume wise.
Is there no way to mod any of the sound files to get more volume from the DAC? I notice there is no default_gain.conf like Samung phones and Mixer_paths.xml is blank. This is a great phone but the sound is an absolute bummer.

He already did.
After adding Atmos to the v4a I was able to get a small increase by turning on virtualizer and volume leveler. It's still not too my liking but it definitely is better which I am grateful for.
There is nothing you can edit manually as far as gain or headphone volume in any config/XML files on this thing? These audio apps are able to make a difference but it's nowhere near enough. On my phone the 2/3 volume to full volume really doesn't change at all only the slider changes position.
some dev could pls try to port stereo speakers mod which is available for mi 3 which makes earpiece has speaker

Dunno about CIT menu, but from ADB shell:
Code:
dipper:/ # cat /sys/devices/virtual/input/input2/name
NVTCapacitiveTouchScreen
That's Novatech. Note that I am not encountering any touch problems, but I don't play any FPS games so I might just not notice (but typing is 100% fine).
(Ignore the dipper, I'm running a ported Mi8 ROM - the kernel is still the Poco kernel).

I've been told but cannot confirm that the panel supports up to 120hz with some minor color imperfections,
Fairly new certain modifying these files:
https://github.com/arter97/android_...t/dts/qcom/dsi-panel-samsung_oneplus_dsc.dtsi
https://github.com/arter97/android_...dsi-panel-samsung_sofef03f_m_fhd_dsc_cmd.dtsi
using this as a sort of guide for values:
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/ke...1128c83#diff-9b749a956003bff1461097b8a7699809
And then building could do the trick but I'm not a dev so I'm not confident in attempting something like that myself.

No, OnePlus uses command-mode to control the panel states, while some dumbs OEMs (Hi Xiaomi) still use video-mode which can be manipulated from dtbo.
But imagining a hypothetical situation where that was possible and the panel could reach 120Hz or something higher than 90, no one outside of OnePlus knows the panel commands to make it enter into a "higher refresh" mode, so we are back in the same place, not possible.

what if you manipulate the rom? u could flash a Xiaomi or pixel based from, would that change the one+ restrictions? or are those command-mode controls not avoidable?

is not related to the rom but the screen firmware, and you can't just simply flash a custom firmware for your screen, as I said before, no one outside OnePlus has the ability to change/add a command for that.
