Hello all, so lollipop is finally released from the atnt website
is it possible for someone to catch it and make it available for a manual update like the previous 20c - 20y update. Most people use other sim cards on the device.
Thanks

That would be great, I also use the D800 without an At&t sim card. I believe last time I used a TOT file and flashed it using LG FLash tool
yeah, but the tot file is definately not out
Yep, I just saw it today on the AT&T website and was about to come here and post the Lollipop news, but you beat me. Here's a link:
http://www.att.com/esupport/softwareUpdateArticle.jsp?sid=KB423381&cv=820
It would be super great if someone could extract the kernel from this official AT&T Lollipop. That way, T-Mobile users like me can flash the official T-Mobile Lollipop, then flash the AT&T Lollipop kernel, and lastly reboot. Hopefully, that will result in a D800 running official Lollipop with WiFi calling!

Hey guys, do you know anything about the marshmallow update for Virgin mobile Moto G's?
(xt1548)
Nothing so far for me yet, wearing out the system update button
Me too?
Apparently, the Virgin Mobile Varient of the Moto G 2015 ota is now being rolled out in Canada. This means soon for us US peeps! Source: http://mobilesyrup.com/2016/01/16/moto-g-3rd-gen-update-to-marshmallow-now-available-in-canada/

Unfortunately, no it doesn't. Virgin Canada is not associated with Virgin Mobile USA in any way. Virgin Canada is a completely different company and actually uses gsm phones, not the cdma phones used on VM USA. For what it's worth, VM USA is not known for rolling out updates, timely or otherwise.
It seems the only way to update the software to Marshmallow is to buy an unlocked version of the device (as I have seen 6.0 on the unlocked device at a Best Buy demo) , or unlock the Virgin Mobile one you already have. Otherwise, I think Virgin is never going to release an OTA for the update.

I thought the Virgin Mobile version was not eligible for bootloader unlocking on Moto's site? There is no other known way to bootloader unlock the device. And an unlocked version (ie. full retail version) would not be CDMA since Moto did not sell those directly or through a 3rd party like Amazon, only carriers, so it wouldn't work on VM anyway. Not to call you a liar but I don't think you were looking at a Virgin Mobile device...

No you're right - What I meant to say is that the version of the phone I saw with 6.0 was an unlocked one - not one from VM. I do not think (as hopeful as I am, still) that VM is ever going to release an update to 6.0 - They usually just release phones with the OS it comes with and that's all you get.
So is there anyway to get Marshmallow or not?9
Soak test underway begun end of April so hopefully in next few weeks
Source?
I'm on virgin mobile, with my moto g3.
I got my boot loader unlocked and TWRP along with xposed. All that works great. But everytime I go and try a custom rom I have to revert to the TWRP backup. And that works fantastic. Just takes it time.
I'd really like a mm rom for this guy. This stock rom sucks the big one.

I have the CM13 nightly flashed to mine. What do you mean you have to revert to the TWRP back up? What isn't working? The only major issue I had was the APN settings which is easily fixed.
Wipe
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot
Flash LTE fix.

I have a TWRP backup should I make a nandorid? And I'm using the virgin mobile 5.1.1 xt1548 Motorola Moto G 3rd generation. Stock rom custom kernel.
It is here and it is NOT working for me. After re-flashing original recovery and riding of TWRP it loads maybe 15% and hits me with an error. No error code just the animation for a split second and it reboots.
I'm not sure if anyone has any info. The virgin mobile moto g was just it's updated to marshmallow. I'm
wondering if there's any root yet?

Standard systemless root with current SuperSU works fine, just like it does with all stock Moto Marshmallow devices.

There is the new firmware upgrade:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21859
Does anyone know if this is 6.0 upgrade?
Can't wait for Marshmellow, but will not update unless I can get root - tmo crap is sh*t, especially myaccount.
Thanks!

HELL! YES!
Guess I need to unroot my phone and grab me some sweet sweet OTA love. That or wait for someone to toss out a kdz
Will the Stylo 1 get Nougat 7.0 or possibly 7.1? if so, when? and if it does, will it overhaul the ugly looking UI and make it look as good as the Stylo 2/ LG G5? Thanks
Which model/carrier do you have?
I doubt it but the T-Mobile/MetroPCS version is more likely to get it than the other versions (better specs), IF (and that is a BIG IF) we do get it.
Again, I highly doubt it because it had its one update. I hope they surprise me though.

Nougat update for Turkey is now Available,Detail;https://www.lgdestek.net/h960tr-lg-v10-android-7-0-nougat-turkiye-guncellemesi-35121/
English translete;
Today the LG V10[H960TR] 32 and 64 models with H960TR and H960ATR Android 7.0 Nougat update is released. The Nougat update, which began last week in South Korea, was later distributed in Hong Kong devices. The LG V10 Turkey models are starting to get Android 7.0 update via LG Bridge. The software version distributed with the LG V10 V30a version number includes the new android version.
LG has made a statement over the past few months and has reported that the Android 7.0 update for the LG V10 will be released in May and June. The update was stopped very late by LG. With the new software update, the LG V10 comes with new features. Among the most notable features are theme features and improvements to the interface. The smartphone has also received the most up-to-date security patch. Updated on security level as 01.05.2017.
Another innovation that came with the update was the update made to the fingerprint reader. It will be enough to take your finger over the power button inside the LG V20.
I apologize if translation is wrong
Excelent news, so, this maybe say tomorrow or after tomorrow the H960A and other 960 variants will get it too...since TR and A models are the same with changes only in storage!
And after that they can release the update for the second phone as they promised - LG G4.

yes, maybe in August or September G4 get it...because they say for V10 between April and June and see, they release it almost in the end of the promised date!
MT: Hope this Nougat will "repair" all GPS failures since i cant get it to work well with only GPS enabled without data connection...
Yes, I know. It will be better than nothing if it is good update without bugs.

Can anyone confim the last sentence : "Another innovation that came with the update was the update made to the fingerprint reader. It will be enough to take your finger over the power button inside the LG V20."
So does it mean only by putting the finger on fingerprint, without pressing it?

i think there some apps in playstore and over here that can allow you to unlock the phone without need to press the power button only place the finger but i dont remember the names of it...
but with stock rom options this dont work like you want (and i want it too) but, life is unfair.

I Have a Little problem ..

"Should Open App My Self to Get Updates"
So any ideas How to Fix That ?
My LG V10 is the global variant H960, not H960A. Have not received the Nougat 7.0 update yet. Pretty frustrating. Very poor update cycle from LG.
Do let me know if anyone has received Nougat update on H960, UAE version
Yummy Nougat

Eager to use it and progress...
