Hi guys I would like to start thread about making custom KERNEL for our phone. And I mean for stock MIUI, since MIUI has ****y stand by and battery
We have kernel source, but do we have someone that is experienced in making KERNELs??
@ketut.kumajaya should be able to do it. Too bad his development focuses on AOSP.
Sent from my Mi-4c using Tapatalk
I hope he will find time and will for that, since we need something like this custom kernel on Redmi3 Note:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/kernel-t3414884
Basically, lowered voltages sand idle clocks with several improvements and tweaks. To bad Xiaomi decided to do that sort of fixes only on MI4s, and not for MI4c ...
what is the problem with the kernel of kuma?
also, you have the kernel of resurrection
No problem, but i don't if he is good for stock miui ROM...

Is this strictly a Libra rom? or is it built of the Kumajaya source for Libra/aqua?
Awesome either way

I would not flash it onto other devices. Kumajaya helped build the ROM, as I've seen his name in the changelog.

No need and no use, I use cm ts with 4 hours sot 4g and 6 hours on Wi-Fi., with a lot less wake locks time and battery consumption. Maybe in next releases will fix it, most of wake locks comes from mokee, so amplify and greenify are no use.
very good stable release. havent got any problems. thanks!

screens: en.miui.com/thread-243792-1-1.html
i'm thinking of buying the phone because of its supposedly good camera and quite some ROM coverage out there (eg http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/general/team-superluminals-cm13-finally-t3284295):
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_4c-review-1328p7.php
though i still couldnt figure out which camera chip the reviewer used... quite soem confusion out there about this. some say sony is better than samsung, some say not.
question for me would be :
what do you think about the ROMs in combination with the phone and final image quality?
Hi,
This rom is very stable
But for now does anyone experience stuck in booting screen?
I'm experiencing this since : MK60.1-libra-161117-RELEASE.zip
Anyone have this issue and fix it?
Thanks before

It is present severall last releases, I think that last stable was from 8 november
Mokee run flawlessly. My only complaint is battery life
The last 2 updates causes bootloop from 161113-161117, what is up? Is there any mokee dev here?
Love this rom so much as my daily driver, but now i'm reverting to xiaomi.eu
I really like this ROM what I do not like so much is what lasts the battery.

It will be possible with the new Kernel achieve it to reduce battery consumption with MIUI or support a new operating system has Kernel AOSP or even see on eui directly overclocked kernel?
A little about me for those who don't know.
I have been building roms since the galaxy s2, I also built for Nexus 10, galaxy s5 and mainly the LG G3.
Once the kernel is released I will start to work on bringing roms, mainly CAF AOSP to our device plus some kernel improvements .
Anyway just wanted to introduce myself. Great phone so far!

Dear Brother
.. hey brother!. Nice to meet you!. I am very appreciative that you are here!. I would be so appreciative if you could create a room for us, or even port lineage os?, I know a lot of other family members around here would be ever so grateful. I am so happy I bought the Mi A1, but also sad that I can't find even oNe rom for our beloved device.
@sooti could you try port MIUI to this device? I'm not sure if you need the kernel code or not. And before someone says "Oh, buy the Mi 5X" I can't find the phone in any market from my country.

But... why would you buy this device if you wanted MIUI? in any case, I'm sure someone will port miui, just not worth my time right now, sorry, i'm more interested in overclocking CPU and GPU and other features that can be added into kernel + qualcomm optimizations to stock android, not much more.

On the official rom, I had a problem with freezing and I do not have this yet. The rom is great, very smooth and nice in my opinion. I really recommend. I don't know if dirty flashing is possible. I flashed clean with V12.0.5.0.QFJMIXM

I compiled the kernel successfully. All of the sensors, wifi and sound doesn't work. I am on MIUI 12.1.1 Global Android 11. Is this a MIUI bug or kernel bug? I tried enabling sensors drivers and still same.
OOOOH YEEES
now let's contact some devs to ask them if they could make a custom kernel
this would be great if NoGravityKernel or Hydra kernel would be available. 70-90hz gaming would be insanely cool. hope we'll get those type of mods. with corvus os android 11 and it would be ultragaming experience.

like Mi 8, you can go up to 90hz by installing custom kernel that can overclock to 90hz
anyways we'd still need custom kernels because stock ram management isn't that good
