I just updated my Huawei GR5 to Marshmallow , it's great but I want to use CM 13 in this phone. I am a little new at this so if anyone can provide me with the info on how I can root this phone (as it may not be popular) ,how to unlock bootloader, flash twrp, get CM for GR5 (KII L21 variant) and flash it?
And please give instructions to revert back to stock firmware if things dont work out.

That androidforums thread virtually ended in november 2014... with a question related to this topic. Besides, that one was for an older Ascend. Frankly, it seems no one really has an answer regarding bootloader unlock or custom recovery for any G730 version yet. Perhaps we'll never see a straight solution on that matter for this device, since apparently there is no developer interested on it out there. Sad
... But man, at least we can root!

I don't know. That's a 2011 topic.... It say's 'for Huawei Ascend', but there's a lot of 'Huawei Ascend' phones and not everyone of them is created equal...

I have a question about my mobile phone. I am using a Huawei Ascend G6 U10. I want to root this mobile. First i rooted with Towel Root, but i got a problem he can't write or read to the SD Card. What's wrong with it?
After this problem I need a solution. I search for a solution and I found it. I had a idea. I unroot the device with SuperSu, but Super Su doesn't give a mention that the unroot was ready.
I want to backup my sytem of my telephone with my pc, because my mobile won't write or read. My question: Support my mobile phone fastboot?
Summary:

Hello there.. Do you have a back up file for huawei g6-u10... Or a rom that can be flash via sp flashtool... Im struglling for almost a month. Everytime i use the update.app firmware it say "mount data fail - mount cache fail"... Hope you could help me fix my phones problem....

i have ascend P7 australian version - P7-L11- and it seems like this model doesn't get any updates and i decided to change to global model P7-L10 and get the updates normally.
My current build number is : P7-L11V100R001C00B133SP04 and i'm still on EMUI 2.3 which is the original
My Custom version is : CUSTC34D133SP04

I am just doing the same form my girlfriend right now. Actually i hoped for your post to be helpful, but it seems like i was faster myself, so i‘d like to share what i found out… NO GUARANTEE
I came from:
H60-L04V100R001C00B109SP01
1. Upgrade to B370
2. Upgrade to B521
3. Upgrade to B820
An instruction is inculded in the first package.
I just updated to B521, so far it worked.

i want to update my huawei ascend mate 7 (mt7-l09)
my firmware version is :
MT7-L09 V100R001C00B120SP04
so that means i have the B120 rom
kitkat 4.4.2
actually bought from Claro, latin america
and i'd like to update it to any other recognized version
with lollipop o marhsmallow
can anybody help me? and at the same time, it help other huawei mt7-l09 users

There are guides posted all throughout this forum. Using the search button does wonders!
First thing you are going to need to do is flash a new cust file (but remember you must have stock recovery before you can flash this).
