I did a quick look at the Q&A and didn't found anything similar to my problem. I had an 6.0.1soak stock rom, tried a custom rom didn't liked and tried to go back to my stock rom, TWRP started giving me erros like: Cant mount /modem can't mount /firmware but ok i made it boot at least then i had problems because if you PIN your lockscreen you're screwed, gotta go delete that DB file which i did but now WIFI is broken and settings force close. Is there any way to restore my stock backups with TWRP or i need to flash a stock image in RSD lite and start everything again ? I tried to restore backups then factory reset but WIFI still dead...
I apologize if we already had this issue on the forum, but i wanted to take any other options avaliable before setting everything up again from scratch, thanks folks.:cyclops:

[ROM][6.0.1][Stock][Odexed]MPG24.107-70.2 Brazilian 6.0.1 for XT1254[TWRP Flashable]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mpg24-107-70-2-brazilian-6-0-1-t3426234
If you flash it you have to be rooted and have TWRP installed. It's pure factory Marshmallow for ANY Quark -- XT1254, XT1250, XT1225. It will use whatever radio you already have installed.
iiWoodstocK said:
this ROM is just factory Marshmallow with a modded build.prop. I didn't include any radio in the .zip, so it uses whatever is currently on the device. Aside from my build.prop tweaks, this ROM is even usable for Brazilian XT1225 users, but the device will say it's a Droid Turbo and contain useless CDMA build.prop lines.

Ok guys I'm stumped on this one. I got the OTA notification for 5.1 yesterday on my XT1034 and so I decided to preempt any issues I might have and just flash everything back to stock 5.0.2 in order to install the update.
I was able to flash everything fine then went to reboot, got the unlocked bootloader screen and...... nothing. It just stayed on the unlocked bootloader screen. I figured I did something wrong so I reset back to fastboot mode, tried again and sure enough I missed sparsechunk 3. So I tried again, restarted, and.... same thing.
OK then, reset again and reboot into recovery mode. It booted to the Motorola splash screen, ok this is different..... nope still not loading. Reset again and try flashing a custom recovery.
CWM, flashed ok, reset again, Moto splash
TWRP, flashed ok, reset, Moto splash
Philz, flashed, reset, splash
OK.. so I'm clearly doing something wrong. Did some research and tried:
- formatting the cache and userdata partitions
> cache formatted fine, userdata refused to format, not supported for filesystem type 'raw'
- tried flashing again without erasing the partitions
> flashed fine, no change in booting
- tried flashing back to 4.4.4
> flashed fine, no change in booting
- tried flashing all the custom recoveries with 4.4.4, no change
- I found a thread where someone else had a somewhat similar issue, and apparently resolved by unlocking their bootloader
> mines already unlocked, but sure it can't hurt, tried again, but nothing since it's already unlocked
I looked for anyone that had a stock 5.1 image other than the OTA, but couldn't find anything. I gave up on trying stock and looked at some custom roms, but all of them just start with, unlock your bootloader, load a custom recovery and flash the update zip file.
Soooo I'm stumped. I've tried just about everything I can think of. I made backups of everything so I'm not worried about the data I just want a working phone again. I refuse to accept that it's borked at this point since I can still get to fastboot.
OK so, no clue what changed, but I was finally able to boot into recovery, Philz
I wiped and reformatted everything and tried flashing 5.0.2 again
rebooted and it still hung on the bootloader unlocked screen
I'll try flashing Philz again and updating through there
Captains log, startdate much too late oh clock
I reflashed Philz and wiped everything again, then sidloaded CM 12.
I'm just thankful to have a working phone again so I'll go with this for now.

Have you tried installing the stock firmware again?
I'm having exactly the same problem, any recovery says it succeeded flashing but when i try to boot it, it goes to stock motorola recovery.
Sorry for being off-topic but what are requirements of receiving OTA?
Stock ROM, stock recovery and a locked or unlocked bootloader?

My experience is that you need to be unrooted, unmodified system partition and stock recovery
It's usually much easier to reflash a stock image and update than trying to unroot, uninstall, xposed tweaks, restore original build.prop settings, restore original hosts file, etc

I haven't tried reflashing the stock again over CM12, but I was able to find a link for stock 5.1 image, you can try going straight there skipping this whole pain.
Here's a link, you can also find it on the stock firmware sticky post that I can't seem to find anymore

Already tried to flash the full firmware again without luck, after rebooting the phone gets stuck at the Unlocked bootloader warning.
Thanks for the link.

I think at least in part what my issue was, was that the partition formatting got borked. If you can boot to a custom recovery you can wipe and reformat them. Then you should be able to reflash it normally.
I was just so tired of dealing with my phone at that point so I only tried once and gave up with stock, but I'm pretty sure that's what I need to do to fix it.
I have a Moto G XT1540 US Retail 2GB running stock 5.1.1 System version 23.31.33.osprey_retus_2gb Build number LPI23.72-33. Data (LTE) working fine.
There is an update available to 23.46.4, but I have not bothered to update as I'd rather run CM12.1.
I've tried flashing 4 different CM12.1 roms
- cm-12.1-20150922-UNOFFICIAL-osprey.zip
- cm-12.1-20150925-NIGHTLY-osprey.zip
- cm-12.1-20150926-NIGHTLY-osprey.zip
- Random-Radium-1.4-OFFICIAL-osprey-20150917.zip
and data is not working in any of them - I can make/receive calls and send/receive texts, but data always shows !
The APN looks correct to me, and I've tried adding a new APN with the same info as stock and rebooting, but it still doesn't work.
I restored to a nandroid backup of stock and data (LTE) is working fine again.
Any ideas or suggestions for how to debug this?
Thanks.
Bob
The first time you flash a custom rom its recommended that you do a factory reset.
so there are no leftovers of the stock system.
just backup your data (and store that backup on a sd) and try a factory reset.
i hope this solves the problem
(sorry for bad english)

Yes, I did. I used TWRP to do a factory reset, flash ROM, flash Gapps, wipe Dalvik and cache, and reboot before each
of the above 4 ROMS.

Hmm thats werd, maybe try flashing a custom kernel. Otherwise i realy dont know how tot help you

cm-12.1-20150922-UNOFFICIAL-osprey.zip, which contains squid2 custom kernel, was one of the ones I tried where data was not working for me.
Can anyone verify that they have tried any of those same roms and had data work for them?
Bob
Have you enable data in setting and try in quick setting tiles pressing the mobile signal icon it should then turn on if not restore firmware then try installing custom rom again
Please Help
I was in miui ROM then I tried flashing Metallium ROM, after I flashed it, it booted up but, it wasn't restoring my previous apps, so I skip that part, but then when I got to the home screen I wasn't able to access my stuffs in my phone memory.
So I thought maybe I need to change the data to f2fs, so I went to the recovery and did and flashed the Metallic ROM again, but this time it didn't boot at all, there was a bootloop and I could get past the start up screen.
I tried my older ROMs the one that I had, but it's all giving me the same response now, I have switch before but I never have had this problem. Please help, how do I flash other lollipop ROM again.
Maybe changing to f2fs and doing a factory reset. If that doesn't help, flash stock ROM via fastboot.

Yeah that might work but I'm kinda looking for a solution where I don't have to flash the stock again because I lost all my moto g stuffs some months back.
And another thing is that when I flash MIUI its working fine again and I'm able to access all the file in my phone storage also. Any suggestions?
Mmmm if you are using TWRP you could connect the phone to the PC and make a backup while you are in recover mode. Then format again data partition to f2fs and make a factory reset including internal storage and finally flash your ROM and restore your files.
But if that is not working then the only option is flashing Stock ROM
If MIUI is still booting it means that your data partition is still ext4
Hi there, hoping someone can help.
Had my BLL-L22 working perfect and had carbon rom working, till one day it just decided to ask for factory reset. From there something crazy happened and my recovery partition aswell as system partitions were completely dead, fastboot didnt work either.
I used the NDIT tool to recover using the jumper method and i got my 6x booting once again, except on the NDR90 rom, anyhow everything picks up now and works, but now my model is stuck on generic_a15 instead of bll-l22, whenever i flash oeminfo it says device not verified and cant boot,
Anyhow - gone ahead and installed carbon ROM again, tried AOSPE too, same thing, both sims wont pick up, and wifi won't turn on, when i restore stock - everything boots fine.
It worked prior to the recovery, now no aosp rom will pick up my imei's or wifi, but stock does. any one got any ideas i could try to get wifi and sims working?
Thanks!
Try flashing full stock BLL-L22 firmware with HuRUpdater and then flash custom ROM again. Vendor partition must be okay in way to use some function in other ROMs than stock one. Plus, flashing full firmware through HuRUpdater should fix the "generic_a15" model name mismatch.
Hej everyone,
I flashed a custom rom from mi-globe a few months. It was working great. Then I had the not so incredible idea of updating with latest miui eu 12, because the weekly update from the update menu was not working. It kinda worked, but it got too buggy. So I wanted to come back to a xiaomiEU Stable Rom.
It is now that problems begin. When I flashed miui eu 12, I got recovery loop. Lost all my data trying to fix, but I was able to flash the stock rom via the amazing XiaomiADBFastbootTools in my GNU/Linux distro. It worked! But the main issue is can not flash the custom rom again. I download the custom rom in the internal storage, flash the twrp via fastboot, enter recovery, create full backup, wipe to factory reset and flash the custom rom. Everything seems successful, but then I get a recovery loop again and when I try to restore the backup, the data folder is filled with folders and files with random chars in the names. Apparently the data folder becomes read-only for some reason as well. Then I have to flash the stock rom and tried everything again. I have done it at least 5 times now. I have searched a lot for some solution and nothing works
I have tried the OrangeFox recovery and the mi-globe rom, same issue. I really want a custom rom , but I have no idea what to do anymore. If I could at least restore my backed up stock rom, it would help a lot.
Please help me out and sorry I posted in the wrong section.
