Hello Guys
today my phone i don't know whats happening
the battery be 50 and go 70 and then go 2 so i don't know whats happening should i replace battery or what
i install (Ampere) app and tell me the health of battery is good so i don't what i should do
I would replace the battery. Battery is cheap on ebay even they are likely to be faked. I replaced batteries both of my Nexus 4 with those potential fake one. The temperature sensor isn't working on one of them so I know it is faked. But it doesn't give me trouble so far. I bought three from three different sellers.

Hello,
I've got the SAME problem with my Nexus 4 this week.
I'll try to say what happened (and I didn't resolve this yet)
First of all, it is shuting down my N4 all the time. I need to keep it at charged.
I tried to change my battery with a friend (with N4 too) and the problem persists.
I tried to change our USB modules, without success.
At this phone everything is working alright, even with battery (so it isn't a battery problem).
I cannot charge my battery or calibrate it. I charged my battery at his N4 and put at my N4: "74% battery" (it was 100%).
My gauge do some crazy jumps. It's like "15%, 76%, 100%" and when i put it off "100%, 44%, 2%".
NOTE: I tried to calibrate several times.
It keeps shuting down at normal use.
This problem occurs -at the first time- when I was at Android 5.1.1 (Chroma ROM). I changed to Android 6.0.1 and it still not working.
At charger works very fine.
At "TWRP" it works fine too (don't shutdown)
I REALLY don't know what can I do.
Now, i'm will install a Stock Rom just for science.
I have this problem(random shutdown, random reboot, when plug in battery dance) too. 6 six month ago I changed battery because phone battery drained as ****,so I used my phone only when plugged in (battery wasn't charging, just keep charge) and one day I used my n4 too long without charging, so battery drains. n4 died till I changed battery.
Everything stock, android 5.1.1 LMY48T, still hoping for OTA updates.English isn't my mother language, so will be pleased if you check it
Now I think about buying new phone. As for me its to much change battery one more time. Or itsnt batterys' fault?
I got back the Nexus 4 from a relative because she got a new phone. Also a cousin had a nexus 4. The batteries are terrible. Its been over 3 years so this was expected. I'm hoping the new battery will give it respectable SOT. Right now it just randomly dies at 50% or higher. And I have to wait for it to really die before I can bring it back to life. Its got the RED LED of Death.
Got to say, its a beautiful phone still. Forgot how nice it was
i buy new battery now its work fine

Beware! The majority of batteries sold on ebay are fake! You can identify them by the look: their print on the label is not white, it's more like a dirty grey. Also they are smaller (1-3mm) in length and width. Also they lack a temperature sensor and constantly report a temperature of 22-23°C. A quick check with a hairdryer will reveal it. Don't install these fake ones. I did twice and both failed within less than 100 cycles. Runtime was poor and they were swollen so much they lifted away the back cover!
I just got a Nexus 4 that my mother was using and installed CM13 and now Lineage 14.1 for my father to use. I'm also facing these random shutdowns.
On my last charge, I charged to 100% without any problem and left the phone in standby for a day and a half which took it down to 89%. I then used it last night to give it some SOT and left it at 74%. Just before going to bed, I pressed the power button and nothing. With a long press the phone booted and reported the battery at 73%. Waking up this morning I expected to press the power button and find the phone on something like 67%. Once again the phone had shut down and when I booted, the battery was on 2% and shutdown itself down straight after boot.
If the battery performance is rubbish, I can accept that due to the age of the phone. What I cant accept is totally inaccurate battery reporting and shutdowns. :crying:
I replaced the battery of my Nexus 4 yesterday, purchased from AliExpress. I suppose it is a fake one. The battery was too big to fit into the enclosure. I had to force it to let it fell into place. Finally it fell into place and it was connected, the phone won't turn on. The phone has given only a red led of death for about 12 hours. Probably it means a battery failure. I don't think the cheap batteries are in good condition and I don't think they're safe either.

Agree, I got one from AlieExpress too. But that was not lasting even equal to my 3 years old battery. Had to complain at multiple places to get the refund but finally got it.

I think the best chance to get an original battery is to purchase a battery from spareslg.com. The price of the battery is a bit too high in my opinion: 22,60 euros at the moment. A second hand nexus 4 costs approximately 60 euros, 80 euros tops, in the Netherlands. I don't know how much a second hand nexus 4 costs in Turkey. Perhaps it's better to consider a second hand nexus 4 and use your old nexus 4 for spare parts. A known issue of the nexus 4 is that the digitizer will stop randomly and the glass at the front and back of the phone is fragile.

can anyone recommend a uk supplier for a bp6x battery that the milestone 2 recognises? or ideally a seller on ebay as i prefer to use paypal? i tried one that said "genuine motorola battery" when it arrived i plugged it in and the dreaded "?" appeared and the phone refused to recognise it. so it was obviously a fake. almost all the listings ive seen appear to be copies. i dont mind a non original aslong as its recognised by the phone and works... the only original battery seller i can see are second hand ones and id rather have a new one if possible. thanks
im interested to same problem ... so up +1!
Rule of thumb is don't buy batteries off ebay.
I was considering purchasing second hand ones, and even considered getting a droid 2 battery second hand, so at least it might be genuine moto, but thought better of it and feel validated with my choice.
At the end of the day, the battery can potentially fry your entire phone the second you connect it. You can't seem to get them direct from moto, but I'd suggest contacting your service provider and see if they can order genuine parts.
I suggest getting a portable charger for those outings where you know you will need some more battery life. Get a car charger, and if possible, a spare charger for work. Than most of your bases are covered and safer too
I'd purchased 2 from a seller on ebay and both work fine - no ? icon whatsoever, even though they're clearly fakes (no hologram). Will give it a week and see how they're lasting, and ill pass on the seller ID. They're handy to have as they can easily fit into a wallet and do wonders if you're getting tore into the Friday night scene.
ive got two spare chargers, and a car charger DreadpirateDan but my original is getting a bit knackered. itll jump from 80% to 40% in one go. then 40% down to nothing. doesnt last anywhere near aslong as it used too. so definitely time for a replacement. i got my phone on ebay so dont have a service provider to contact.
thanks gogz, let us know how u get on. i picked up one of the genuine second hand ones on ebay and it works fine. but its actually older than the one i originally had lol.
hey gogz let us know how ur batteries goes then.

Holy moley that's crazy as, what do battery diagnostics tell you of your battery health etc? (if they even work, lol)
Also, have you tried battery calibration? That issue just sounds crazy, perhaps that might help?
EDIT:
Maybe you should get AnTuTu Tester off the market and run a battery test (will require your phone to be out of action for a few hours rapidly discharging though )
I scored 358 and am placed just above HTC HD2 and below LG Optimus 2X. The Galaxy S2 doesn't seem to have scored much more than me going by the bar graph - I've allways thought my battery to be shocking and potentially damaged health wise. So maybe that could give you an idicator as to how it's holding up, just for curiosity sake.
yeh tried that. the batterys just old thats all. theyre only good for a 1000 charges or something. so charging it couple times a day for over a year soon adds up. as they age the voltage becomes more erratic and it doesnt hold its charge.
I bought 2 original BP7X from ebay (and one bigger cover) and they are perfect.

BP7X is the way forward buddy. Can abuse the phone all day long and have 50% by the end with custom ROM and Juicedefender. I'm sure with light use you could get a week out of the thing.
ms2 is enough busty :F with bp7x and backcover is like to have a notebook in your pants.
i wish a batery that doesn't needs a backcover and works good without any block
This was were I got my batteries from guys. I've tested them both quite extensively over the holiday season and they have lasted well. Has proved to be a good investment actually as I sucked all the juice out of my phone taking 720 video at a gig over NYE and needed the phone to regroup after it. Hope this helps you. I also got one of those docks with the battery slot in the back to charge them up as a wee christmas present to myself too. I'm getting geeky in my auld age.
hey gogoz with that battery can u see how much % of juice remains ? and can u recharge it from your phone?
Yup. No problems on both counts there.
I have to say that I purchased one of those BP7x 1800mAh batteries and I am not impressed at all.
It barely makes 2 days without data connection always on.
Still I am using the phone underclocked at 800 mhz with screen on and everything forced at 300 when the screen is of wit setcpu.
It takes about 3 hours to burn 10% of charge
Well it only adds like 30% (or something?) extra life.. so if your normal life span used to be about 36 hours then 46 (barely 2 days) is just about right.
for replacement battery i would higly recommend "mugen" batteries. their average performance exceeds the OEMs. But if you go for the heavyweight usage, try their 3300mAh [HLI-A855XL] for milestone. not cheap though compared to ebay deals, but worth it quality wise.

I have a Droid 2 BP7X and it works fine in my MS2. I'd be wary of the Chinese writing and the very cheap price on the link you provided though. And you will need a new battery cover (mine was supplied with one).

You can find all the proper LG part numbers in the D820 service manual, plus, it has the proper steps to dis-assemble the Nexus 5 so you don't break anything.
EAC62078701 is the part number to search for.
Read the last 20 or so pages for part numbers and di-assembly instructions(with color pictures!).

Hi,
I have two questions...is there a trusted US reseller of the genuine LG battery. The one above is from the UK.
Also...I attached the GSAM captures...does this look normal for nexus 5? My battery is being drained very quickly lately. Maybe I need to do a factory reset?

2 hours screen on, half battery used? Yeah could be normal. Hard to say really.
Me too.....
I am looking for this, too. My battery is really messed up. I've tried recalibrating, factory reset, different ROMs, complete stock, etc. I'm getting 3 hrs. TOTAL before having to charge and it'll hit 25% and die almost immediately after that. I power back on and I'm at 3% (!). I'm trying the Zerolemon battery case to see if that gets me through the next few months until I can possibly upgrade or get another Nexus 5.
Excellent

I've spent the past few days looking for a genuine battery (in the UK). I've actually spent about 2 weeks swapping ROM's around from 4.4 to 5.0.1. Turns out Lollipop is some of my problem but even on 4.4 I'm getting pretty bad life.
All the other batteries I could find were about half the price but the reviews said they were fakes. I'll try this one.
OEM battery is only about $10 or $15, so price alone won't tell you if it's genuine or not.

I can't argue with that!
When I searched on amazon.co.uk for OEM Nexus 5 battery, I found a few for only about £10 but the reivews made it clear that they were not really LG batteries. I couldn't find the link that the poster gave (probably because it doesn't have OEM in it). I've no reason to believe it is more genuine other than the poster contacted them and they assured him. So I ordered it and it looks very genuine so far - some that are sold as OEM don't even have "LG" written on them!
I'll install it soon and see if my battery life improves and come back here and also write an amazon review - it's the only way for people to see what's good or not.

Resellers will then mark those up to whatever price they want so it's really a crap shoot out there. Best of luck with your replacement and let us know the results.
I would like to ask all the people on this forum that have replaces their battery in the Nexus 5 to post some of their impressions about the "new" battery, this thread looks like the perfect place to do this.
I will start:
- I had to replace my battery because it became very bloated/swollen, so much that on one side the back case was lifted 1 mm, and
the phone felt a little bit heavier. Also the battery would not last even an hour, the phone closing on it's own with the battery showing 50-70 %,
and after reset showing <10%, then it would magically charge itself back to 50%
- So I bought a new one from ebay: "http://www.ebay.com/itm/361075010454", the guy had positive reviews and many people got this item
- It arrived in perfect state, at least visually, it had part number "EAC62078701" like all the replacement batteries online, the seller assured me it was original and new from LG. Proof that it was new could be that the connector ribbon was straight and not folded in any way, so it could not have been used in a phone before. The inscriptions on it seemed original, but when I scanned the barcode from the lower-left side it decoded a different date
than the one written on it over the P/N, so no match, but what does this mean ?
- I put it into the phone and now it acts "normally", meaning that it goes from 100% all the way to 0% without the phone closing itself
- Charging also seems normal, taking about 2,5 hours to fully charge with the LG WCP-300 wireless charger
- But this is were the problems start, with the new battery I cannot get more than 2 - 2,5 hours of SOT no matter what I do. I've tried 4.4.4, L preview, 5.0, 5.0.1, even cm11, with full wipes and no restores, but it's the same, as soon as the screen in on, the battery drains like crazy, I lose 15% battery in 10 minutes of playing Temple Run 2, which is not even such a demanding game. Totally unacceptable, when the phone was new, I used to get 4-5 hours of SOT, now I don't even get half that.
This is why I'd like to get other people's impressions about a replacement battery.
Maybe this replacement battery is bad, I but I don't want to get another one without proof that other replacement batteries can get 4 hours of SOT with stock Lollipop.
Thank you.

With all bells and whistles I get 3- 3.5h SOT . LTE at all times , location on , brightness around 15%. 4 to 5h on 3g with location off and no music.
The only way to be sure if it's the battery is to either compare it with another battery in your phone or do a controlled discharge .
That would involve taking it out , wiring it to a constant current sink and timing how long it takes until it reaches cut-off voltage. Since either buying a current sink or building one will cost you more than 15 bucks I'd say just look for another battery if you really hate the current SOT .
Best of luck!!! Had the same issue a few days ago when I plugged my N5 to the charger of my sisters tablet, which is obviously one of those cheap Made in China tablets,
and the voltage totally killed the battery in my phone, so didnt really feel like those sellers where worth my trust, so went to FB and got in the N5 fan page of my country, so there was a guy who had one with a broken screen and was nice enough to sell me his battery, this is basically your best shot, asking around if you REEEEAAALLY want a original one, since LG dont sell them to the public
Temperature of replacement Nexus 5 battery
Hi,
Sorry to bother you, but could you tell me if your replacement Nexus 5 battery has a varies temperature?
I mean if the temperature goes up to 35 Celsius when it's charging or you're playing games, of if it goes down to 25 when it's idle.
Because my replacement battery always stays at 29 degrees Celsius, no matter how I use the phone.
I think mine might be bad, but I want to check with someone else before buying another one.
Thanks.
Update - I replaced it a few days ago (using the amazon.co.uk link given previously) and it has solved my issues. I played a video in a loop on full brightness and got almost double what I had before. General usage seems much better too.
So why did I need a new one after just a year? I think my old one was damaged by overheating on cheap wireless charger. My new charger doesn't make the phone get so hot. I used the old one for about a year and lost about 50% capacity. I thought they must all do that so I didn't worry. I'm told heat can damage the battery.
The temperature is fine - about room temp unless I use it a lot.
It's normal - a battery loses about 30% of its capacity after 400 cycles.

I guess you got that from something like "table 2" on this page -
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
That's showing a 30% loss on 300-500 cycles assuming the battery was right down to 0%. I didn't know that.
However, I lost 50% and would not have been charging from 0% so it seems worse than average. The next paragraph on that page talks about degradation due to heat. That would explain why mine was so bad.
I'm still surprised though as I've had a few smart phones and never noticed even 30%. I had my Motorola Defy for 2 years as my main phone and then 2 years as a spare and it seemed fine. I suppose you don't notice a gradual loss so presumably I just wasn't noticing.
Not all batteries are made the same - my very old motorola (w388 , 10 years old) started out with around 7 days battery life . Now it only lasts about 3 days so ~60% loss.
My desire x lost around 30% capacity in 2 years - so around 900 charging cycles. My S3 on the other side ... capacity was down to 50% after 200 charging cycles. I've checked most of the with a controlled discharge on a current sink so it should be about 3% off .
So i finally replace my battery and miracle happen phone charge normally not in 40 minutes, there is no battery jump and fall during reboot, no enormous drain etc. So if you have issue as described above and changing roms, kernels and go back to kitkat didn't help change your battery.
Just got a battery from eBay... Looks authentic, but doesn't charge.. Just stays at 0%...
Probably will have to exchange... Is there a way to tell if an LG battery is authentic??
Edit: Well the seller has quickly refunded me and I didn't even have to send back the battery. Told him it wouldn't charge and is stuck at 0%.. He insisted he would just send out a new one, but I asked for a refund instead.
Already ordered a new one from etradesupply, should be here within a few days..
So guys, celebrating or Forum acquisition.
Let's talk about one of the biggest issues that a huge part of S3 users, that acquired their phones last year had. The battery drop.
It weirdly started for some after the Lollipop upgrade, with a 15 or 20 sudden drop, 1, 2, 3 seconds and you phone turns off!
Firstly we all thought this was a software issue, but after countless work and updates on this part and no fix for it, we started to think that problem was not a software one but with batteries itself.
The cause will remain a mystery. A defective lot? A issue that was ignited by LP? And proof of batteries defect, the drops gets worse with time. 20, 30, 40% drop to zero, batteries getting inflacted watch out if you have this issue!
Fortunately this seems to be fixed in newest batteries, that are sold on main stores, if you're ordering a original one get from main stores, Aliexpress stores are just selling fake ones by my investigations.
Luckily we found at Aliexpress this Kompson battery. At first sight it looked like a big scam, promising capacity for a not so popular phone? Definitely could look like a scam. But then a courageous buyer bought one and not only got great capacity or duration, as got the drop issue aliviated.
My case, after a whole year with two original batteries. They started to suffer huge drops from 50% in the last 6 months, with max of 2:30 SOT. One got inflated, they badly lasted me more than a . Yesterday finally got my Kompson and my issue meet a end. No drop, maybe at 5%, 3% I got a drop to 1% then it last some time more and turns off.
This topic is to inform people with the Drop issue, as well as letting your experience with new, old stock batteries or Kompson. In order to inform and help people with this freaking issue.
I only got one battery with my device, so the moment I started to notice these strange drops, plus none of the "rescue" solutions such as battery calibration (rooted), didn't do anything, I search AliXpress, and bought one KonPson with any risk...
Since March 29th that I am using it, the phone works also with 0%!!! No crazy drops, no suddden 50%...
The load discharges slow an normaly.
TapaTalk and JiaYu S3 with Android MM!
Battery calibration isnt quick process to get rid off drops. What You need to do is stay with ONE rom longer! Do a calibration at 100%. Restart the phone. Than three-five times fully discharge battery (with normal use) and charge it to 100% its times. It take week or so. I have konspon and orginal battery and I dont have any drops - no matter which battery I use. I've made flashable batterystats file (from my own file after a week or so) and when I need to test new rom and return to mine testes I do flash batterystats.bin file via recovery and thats all.

I had two defective batteries, no way a calibration would save them from 50% drops.
Sent from my S3 using Tapatalk
Just swapped in my Kompson that I purchased a few months ago as a spare as I was experiencing a 10% drop. From my experience it was definitely battery degradation as it started fine and eventually worked up to 5% then 10% while the Kompson goes all the way down to 0%. It will be interesting to see if the Kompson does the same in such a short period as then it might be the device causing degredation rather than poorly made batteries.
@genesisalgor One question, do you recommend buy this battery?

Mine is rock solid until now, if it's inflated you should replace it immediately, there's a guy that battery got in fire and ruined the phone too.

One more question. Is it the store you bought from (BouBoo International trade co., LTD)?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/kon...ttery-free-shipping-Tracking/32360303710.html
I have 5 batteries and a pair of external chargers. One of the 5 is a Kompson. The differences are not abysmal but their performance is better.
Hi,
Where could I buy legit battery (stock or konpson) for Jiayu S3 Advance?
I have this same exact battery, I was the first one to get my hands on in our group and its so good that my facebook friends started to try buying it from me. So I sold it to one of them after I sold my jiayu s3 to get an iPhone.
Now that I just went back from an iPhone 2 months ago into another Jiayu S3 unit, I have to buy another Konpson battery for the same reason why my friends wants my Konpson so bad. LOL
Bye bye batt drops, hello my dear konpson
If you're gonna get one, just ignore what the capacity says. As long as it says Konpson for jiayu s3, you're all good. Those capacity are just labels anyway, in reality its the same capacity to the stock battery, just more efficient as to why it works and performs better than the stock battery despite having the same capacity.
kompson batteries no longer exist. now they are ones called "losoncoer" i think is the same factory (very similar sticker)
soon it will arrive and i will try it

What about the LOSONCOER one? Any hint? A lot of russian language commentaries with problems with the shop
Hello there I think my battery is damaged, becouse my phone switches off with 5-15% left (so i do calibrate, but doesnt help) and when I charge it, the charging starts from 14% instead of with 0.
So I decided to replace my battery. I know that I have to the BM-35 But where can i buy and get really a original?
I found this some on ebay and aliexpress, but i am not allowed to post here....
For exeample i found one on aliexpress with a cooling copper, is that usefull?
Thanks in advance for your Help.
Only on dragon-tt I've found original parts of xiaomi phones...

Hello, I have exactly same problem! Same percentage, turns off at ~13-15%, then if I plug to charge it shows 14% everytime! I would also know if it's battery or something more related. I'm using mi4c for ~7 months now. Glad i'm not alone with this problem.
Which Rom?
Which Rom you use and do have only use your quickcharger (the original)?
Edit: I ask about the charger, because i read in anohter forum, that the quickcharge isnt good for the battery lifetime. I have the phone for more than a year and use the quickcharger only for every third or fourh charging. Do you use everytime?

Yes, used original quick charger, and USB. Using Ressurection Remix 5.8.0 (7.1 Nougat), but was getting problem with MIUI too, but shut down at 7%, and start charging at 21%, i think it may be software problem.
I'm not sure whether it is a software problem. I have for last month the rom from team superluminal ( cm-12.1-20160617 ) and have never battery problems - only since the last 2 weeks. So i updated to the rom cm-13.1-20161231 (also superluminal) and the first round with a full battery works fine, no switch off at a low battery level. I work on the phone until it has only 3 percent and then i charged it. Maybe you try this rom? Nevertheless i think isn't a software problem. Because I read this at the forum from superluminal (sry i am not allowed to link here) - posted by morphic:
IMO using quick charger w/ mi4c it will destroy your battery even more, because it seems to get too hot while charging. High temperatures are known to cause damage for battery internal chemistry..
I have also noticed that using normal “slow” charger will make mi4c battery percentage to behave more sane.

Used this rom. I think the same, I'm going to buy battery and try to keep it cool while charging. If you know some cheap websites for Europe, thank you!
I have orded from aliexpress, you can find some between 10 -15 Euro. Or ebay, there is a trader from spain and want about 20 Euro.

100 percent sure you could never I remember a case about fake samsung battery - selled from amazon.
Tried to get a replacement battery from the biggest seller of them on aliexpress. Got stopped twice at custom x-ray with post nl . Was getting it shipped to Ireland. Seller is refunding me and told me it was getting very hard to ship batteries at the moment.

Not like Xiaomi uses top bin batteries in the first place. They wouldn't bother faking the bottom bin batteries Xiaomi uses.
there are no original ones as spare parts to buy. just replacements
I've bought one off aliexpress from a seller with biggest positive feedback for BM35 batteries as my original was switching off at about 30%, used for about three months, but it's not very good now - it doesn't hold charge very well and I have had random shutdowns at about 20%, too.
Last weekend I've got annoyed and put my old original BM35 back and the phone holding significantly longer with similar patterns of usage. Unfortunately still getting shutdowns at ~15-20%. Also there are rumours claiming that avoiding QC chargers "cures" the battery in mi4c. So, if you're getting shutdowns at 5-15%, don't even bother spending 10$ for a non-original one, try slow charging first.

could you tell us what kind of charger do you use? what power, ie. how many amperes?
I use two different Samsung Charger with: 1) 5Volt / 1A 2) 5Volt / 2A
I have the same problem where my device shut down early before 0%, and it happen to all custom rom i used, but i think the problem has gone now, i did clear all the chace and dalvik/ART, reboot the phone, charge untill 100% and calibrate with battery calibration.
I'm on RR 5.8.0 latest build.
Just got the battery the poster is talking about, with a copper patch. its from a batch marked with the year 2014. The S/N is covered with the copper patch.
the battery cover plastic seems a bit scratched, like its a used battery.
I will replace the battery in the next couple of days and let you know.
For the mean time I got it for 11.5$, now its 14.5$
Hey guys I replaced my 6p battery with an eBay unit that's clearly not an oem replacement. It does the job so far however whenever I'm outside in the cold this thing drops to zero in a matter of minutes. I'm thinking it's probably because it's a cheap Chinese knockoff. You guys know of any places where I can source an OEM replacement battery
Thank you

I wasn't able to find one. Ordered several that said they were OEM but when they arrived they were some knockoffs. Huawei ended up replacing mine despite being out of warranty.
I haven;t been able to find a genuine battery either. Some randomly turn the phone off. Some have no temperature sensor so there's potential for overheating. One of them wouldn't charge past 93%. On the positive side, I am a pro at opening this phone up now. Kind of miss having 2 extra batteries that I could swap into my G3.

Funny...I saw that one just earlier today. The thing I found interesting is that the sticker on that "OEM" battery looks a fair bit different than the sticker that can be seen when a 6P is disassembled...so that smells a bit fishy to me personally
Just bought this battery from amazon,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IOJSN3E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
ive been playing music and its been holding charge more than the battery that was in there.
i will let battery drain zero and then charge it up and see how it holds up. It came charged at 33 and after 30 minutes of use its at 30 % ..
im excited to see the results, the battery was $13 USD and got delivered in two days, came in a yellow bubbled envelope and the battery was in a little box that said nexus 6p
one thing i noticed was that the flex cable was running from the bottom of the battery as opposed to the OEM that ran on top of the battery, it sits well, but honestly i did see a gap in size. the OEM battery actually filled in the whole compartment and the after market one left some space. i attached it and now im using the phone outside in the cold (im in Riverside CA) and its raining outside, and it seems to be holding up..
opening the phone wasnt hard, got the needed tools from a local dollar store, phillips precision screw driver, a hobby blade kit and it was super simple to open.

Will be interested to hear your report back after some continued discharging and recharging and seeing how it holds up. My battery life is manageable still, but it certainly isn't great lol I just don't know how much I want to open this thing haha
So after draining the battery a couple of times I'm charging it it would seem that this battery is holding up very well definitely holding up better than the battery I had before. This is still happens from when I charged it from 0 to 95 it sticks at 95 and doesn't move from there up until I disconnect and reconnect the cable but after that it does charge up to 100..
On Accu battery the battery reports at 97% health but I'm sure that the difference is probably off due to calibration. One thing that does puzzle me is the capacity that the battery is reporting the capacity that I see even though the battery is a bit smaller than the original battery is reporting 5413 mAh . I'm guessing that after a few more runs it would fix the capacity amount because it doesn't seem right. Yesterday I didn't notice that the phone got very hot in the matter of minutes while laying down on the counter charging at first which kind of worried me because I have never had that issue with this phone before. The phone is working way better than it was before and I could have got it sent out to Huawei and got replaced but I wanted to fix the battery issue as I grew fond of this phone and would not trust a replacement phone to make up for this one. Opening up the phone's very simple I found it surprising that it was so simple as it just takes a hobby blade and a playing card a debit card to slide under the battery and patience I was done with the process in about 15 minutes at the phone running and the battery was charged at 32% I will report back periodically but I honestly do believe that this battery is of good quality and definitely does hold up 2 what was advertised

Does the battery temperature change or is it a constant temp? Sounds like one of the batteries that I tried. It would stop charging around 95% too. But it had no, or non-functioning temperature sensor that read a constant 25 degrees. I deemed it unsafe and disposed of it.
Now that I think of it, you're right. Its at a steady 25 degrees on mine as well

They probably used a resistor in place of an actual temperature so the circuit would give a false reading instead of no reading at all. That's disturbing because fast charging uses the battery temp to adjust it's charging speed for safety and longevity of the battery. And it says a lot about the quality in general and what other protections were omitted. Having said that, I think the chances of actually having a problem are low. But even that was too high a risk for me.

If there is no, or circumvented protection circuitry to prevent overheating and shorts, which it appears there is. Then the worst that can happen is thermal runaway followed by venting flame at 1,000 degrees. Similar to the Note 7 or hoverboard videos you may have seen.

yeah to manually set what the capacity is supposed to be
the higher one i'm speaking of is after charging it. that's the capacity it calculated, but that's been changing every time after i charge up, i left the house today at 10:30 and took the phone off the charger then, right now at 2:34 pm Pacific Cali time i am at 73% on L-OS Rom,
i had noticed that CM based roms always drained faster than stock roms, so im running this rom to see the longevity of the battery life on this vs stock to finally come to a conclusion on battery quality after i run stock

Cool. Thanks for sharing your results. I am currently in RMA hell with google and my 6p. They keep sending me refurbed phones with original batteries. My OG which was manufactured in December 2015 had 95% battery life and the ones I have been receiving have been 72% and 84%. Currently waiting on the 3rd one. Hopefully a reliable OEM aftermarket option surfaces JIC.

General question about doing a RMA with Huawei...do you have to send your phone back first and wait several weeks to get it back or will they send you a phone first and you have a certain amount of days to send your old one back, or else you get charged the full value of the phone that was sent first?
thanks!
