I have tried to download the mx player to my samsung s6. It says its installed but i cannot find it anywhere on my phone and wont let me install it again :S reeeeally confused!!!!!
You have looked in the app drawer, right? The app may not be added to your home screen by default.
And if you have a custom launcher, might it have a "hide apps" option that is hiding the icon?

Ok so i downloaded "launcherpro" for its home theme, its three screens, its little swipe bar at the bottom, and of course the 3d app drawer. although im having a big problem... i dont have the 3d app drawer because "launcherpro" wont allow me to open it... the open button is only gray and it wont let me. i can only uninstall it also i cant even see it in my app drawer normally or in my downloads under my marketplace. is there a way to open it or am i screwed? is there just another app only for a 3d app launcher? i dont want 7 screens like the helix launcher cuz it freezes and lags to much and i dont need that many screens. Also with the "launcherpro" prior to having it i downloaded it once (my phone is rooted :2.2 cynogen 6(sp?)) and i could open it but i didnt know what it did so i uninstalled it. if i type in "launcherpro" or "launcher pro" its nowhere to be found but i still have it set as my home screen default i just want a 3d app drawer. i have the sprint htc hero. help?
I was wondering if there was any way of altering what is shown along the bottom bar of my Epic 4G Android 2.2.1 phone. I have a new sms app that I use all the time rather than the stock app and i'd like to change the icon in the bottom row. Is it even possible without having to use a custom rom or rooting or anything?

The bottom bar is the dock from the launcher. I don't know which launcher you are using but on Launcher Pro if you long press on the icon you will be able to change it. I believe Zeam you have to add the icon to your home page then drag it to the dock. ADW is also something similar.
To clarify the above post, installing a new launcher does not require root. However if your carrier filters your market you may need to download the .apk file on a pc and install with a file manager from the sdcard. Remember to check "unknown sources" in the android menu prior to attempting the latter method.

It's possible to add 2 or more widgets on one page of lockscreen ?
are any app or xposed hack to do that on stock rom ?
Thanks ?
Two different widgets on one panel without having to scroll to the next one? No, not for stock lock screen. Not sure about Xposed, but I'm pretty sure there's not. Not unless Gravity Box maybe, but I don't use it so I can't say for sure. You could always try downloading an alternate lock screen app from play store.
Currently there's nothing like this for the stock lock screen. But you can use 3rd party apps like widget locker to get it.
Is there a tested app which can hide app icons from the Google Now's App Drawer in Lollipop?
I'm almost ready to take the plunge and upgrade to 5.0 forfeiting Xposed Framework and a few modules I've been using, but one thing which would be annoying me constantly is the cluttered app drawer.
So anyone who has upgraded to 5.0 already -- have you tested any apps which allow you to hide app icons from the Google Now's app drawer? CCSWE App Manager looks promising -- has anyone tested it in 5.0? Any better apps you can recommend?
I definitely do not want to freeze or disable any apps, just want to hide their icons *from the drawer*, for example I may want to have an icon shown on the desktop, but not in the drawer.
Thanks!
I would also like to know this.
I tried App Hider from the Play store, but of course, it doesn't work to hide the apps. Plus, you have to be rooted. Hopefully, the developer will update the app soon.
Well, I went ahead and flashed 5.0 and rooted. However none of the apps I've tried from the playstore (tried like 5-6) could hide icons from the app drawer. In the retrospect I should have probably rebooted (or at least restarted the launcher) after trying some of them -- I haven't as none of the apps I've tried instructed me to do so.
So if you stumble upon an app which works -- wherever with or without root, please post away.
Whoa, I was still searching for potential solutions and found this: http://www.usoftsmart.com/t289594.html
I use apex launcher and it has the ability to hide apps in the drawer. I tried it to ensure it still works on 5.0 and yep. Of course you may not want to change launchers for this.
Thank you for your feedback, but yeah, as indicated in the topic I want to stay with Google Now launcher and want to hide app icons in its drawer.
Anyone has tried anything recently? What worked, what didn't?
Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?
Xposed for Lollipop + Xposed GEL Settings, just like on KitKat.

Hey does anyone have a copy/modified copy of the Moto App Launcher to use icon packs? Although I like Lawnchair, I cannot use it on this new phone because I like having the app drawer on the recent apps screen. Thanks!
I too insist on having a home screen with the app drawer icon. I do not like the "My Home screen is my app drawer" aka (Easy Home) or the "swipe up for apps" method.
The first thing I did with my Moto g7 was search Google for; and then install the "Latest Nova Launcher Pro/Mod apk" which corrected that problem and allows for major customizations, ffor starters, the app drawer option, with scroll direction choices, basic launcher themes and icon packs, fonts and colors and size modifications, search bar options, folder creation with all features listed above just for the folders, app animations and transition's, etc etc etc. If you can think it or want something different then the standard issue there is more then likely a feature to modify it.
I have also had success with Apex Launcher. Just remember when looking to download ANY type of app at all, be sure to search GOOGLE for the "pro/paid/full/premium" and sometimes "mod" versions of the Apps .apk files, Not those ad infested and half the feature locked versions that come from the PlayStore.
