[Q] Cellular service issues after broken display - Please advice? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone.
Please help if you have any advice
I dropped my laptop on my OPO and I broke both displays (both OPO and laptop).
This sucks bad because I can barely afford to fix one, let alone two.
I did fix the OPO and - this is weird - I am getting service issues.
I went back to the repair guy (really nice person), and he opened the OPO in front of me and showed me that the antenna is well connected so no issue there.
The issue is very odd: I do get to register my sim on the network (or at least it does show my carrier) but my reception is barely there.
Now I know the OPO has issues showing signal bar (right?) but in any case my signal bar always shows no signal.
I resetted everything and even went back to stock OxygenOS firmware (I think).
Getting barely any service. Tried a different SIM - same problem.

My phone has bug in all rom

Hello, my galaxy sl has bug in all rom.
When I use the internet with HSDPA internet crashes after a while, the network is blocked for a long time or if you restart preventing even the ability to receive calls and messages.
I am forced to restart the smartphone but I suffer a second bug, the battery goes to 0-1-2% and the smartphone is likely to go off after some minutes the battery salt alone.
I went from 10.1 cm to 10.2 then I started again with the stock and put the TheFrankestain ^ MOD

Please help me :crying:
Few months back I had battery curve somewhat like this.
I guess an old battery. Battery calibration will smoothen the curve.
I faced the same problem a weeks back.. the only way to solve such problem is by doing a proper battery caliberation, just google it to find more info on it..,
a new battery will solve your problem I had this problem last month but when I bought new battery I forgot about this bug

Every 15 minutes my mobile and phone network will shut down for 10 seconds

It started with my phone on 4.4 and I couldn't update OTA to 4.4.2, it would fail every time, even though I'm completely stock.
I lived with that for a long time, but then my GPS would act up and not work correctly or be slow, and my auto-rotate would not work.
A reboot would fix this, but it was very annoying.
Then I RMA'ed it and they changed my motherboard (all the stuff inside) which gave me a new IMEI numer.
It worked, the next OTA got installed fine, and I'm on 4.4.4 now.
As I'm writing this now, I've just gotten the 5.0.1 OTA, which might solve this problem, I don't know.
Anyway, the problem now is, that every 10-15 minutes my mobile and phone network will shut down for about 10 seconds, with no bars at all.
I've checked the battery stats (see picture), and it looks like it only does it when the signal is on the green, but not when it's on the yellowish color.
What does those colors mean?
Does anyone have any knowledge about this, is it software, hardware, should I RMA it again?

That sucks, rma it
I'd try flashing stock again with fastboot. If it's the same , it's either a hardware issue or carrier issue.

Having a DATA sim causes battery to drain very fast (Cell Standby)

I made a previous thread where I tried to force LTE to solve my Cell Standby issue. In the end I couldn't figure out a way to do this on a non-rooted phone.
Until recently I found an app Network Mode that allowed me to select "LTE only" which I thought would solve the problem of my phone wasting his battery to finding a GSM connection (which I guess the problem is).
Cell Standby is currently still on the top with usage, but it dropped from 70-85% to 50%.
But I want it to drop more, is there anything else I can do to test to find what causes him to use this much battery, and possibly disable it?
PS. I don't have this problem when I put my Belgian SIM in my phone which isn't limited to internet data.

Bump
I tried to contact Google, they sent me to Samsung. Samsung said it's a stock android problem so sent me back, placed the bug on their bug system but no response yet. Anything I can try myself while waiting?
Last bump, I promise. I'm stuck between two companies and my phone can't survive a day.

[SOLVED-Hardwareissue] No Data SIM/ No SIM/Invalid network mode (-1)/Bad mobile data

Hello to all,
just want to share a solution for a problem I encountered.
Phone:
Display repaired myself.
Symptoms:
Mobile data and phone reception was unreliable. Seemed to work sometimes, sometimes not usable.
When not usable the network symbol said: No Data SIM/ No SIM, when long pressing on the symbol it said: Invalid network mode (-1)
Cause:
Antenna unplugged, but sometimes it managed to connect due to proximity of the two parts of the plug.
Solution:
Plug the antenna plug back in. (And of course control all the other antenna related contacts.)

So I seem to have disconnected the antenna cable when disassembling the phone for the display exchange. So glad to have my beloved reliable phone back now!
Hope it helps for some of you!
I first tried all the software stuff, but nothing worked. Heres nice and useful links you could use, if you couldn't resolve your issue via my suggested hardwarefix.

GS7 call quality

Does anyone know if the GS7 handles weak signals as good as the G6? I used to have a GS7 and bought a refurbished one again for Verizon but it seems like the signal strength isn't as good. it goes from 0-2 bars and HD voice sounds muddy. Is my phone bad or is the GS7 not as good as the G6 with signal strength. I never had signal issues with my G6 in my house. I am trying to figure out if i need to send my phone back to the seller.
Here's my signal strength. Does this look normal for the GS7?

I notice if I toggle flight mode on and off or pull the sim card out the signal gets real good for awhile but then after a few minutes it starts dropping off and not being stable again. even going to Extended Network. Is my phone bad? do i need to send it back. can someone please help me? Also notice now twice i get the circle sign with a line through it then the network slowly comes back up.
