REQUIREMENTS:
Supported variant only !!
Touch Wiz Android M 6.0.1 ROM or UX leaked firmware (beta support)
Appropriate custom recovery (i.e..TWRP for your variant)
INSTALLATION & UPDATE:
If you have Synapse installed = = you must clear Synapse app data before flash !!
Device Settings: Enable Developer Options > OEM UNLOCK is ENABLED
Boot into custom recovery (volume UP + home + power)
DO NOTHING but flash SkyHigh kernel.zip (ALWAYS flash again AFTER any custom ROM installation, system or data wipe)
After flash == DO NOTHING but REBOOT IMMEDIATELY from TWRP or you will have to re-flash !!
CONVERT EXT4 TO F2FS FS:
If not already, install the latest TWRP for your device variant (ie. 3.0.2-2). This must support F2FS.
Boot into TWRP.
Insert USB-OTG
** ALL DATA WILL BE WIPED FROM INTERNAL STORAGE (restored later)
Backup (copy) all important files (incl. your NANDROID) off device (ie. from internal storage > USB STORAGE). This can take a while. Advanced > File Manager > .....
Home > Backup > Select Storage > USB Storage > OK > "Swipe to Backup" (Only need DATA, but recommend to backup all partitions).
Install > Select Storage > USB Storage > OK.
Select f2fs.zip > "Swipe to confirm flash" (This will WIPE ALL DATA !! & convert DATA & CACHE to F2FS. System is not supported by kernel).
Check the box to remember setting and “Swipe to allow Modifications”.
If you do not have Step #8, then Data was not converted to F2FS.
Mounts > unchecked both Cache & Data. Repeat Step #7 & 8.
Restore > Select Storage > USB Storage > OK > Select TWRP Backup folder > DATA ONLY !! > "Swipe to Restore" (ignore warning about EXT4).
Home > Install > Select Skyhigh_kernel.zip > "Swipe to confirm Flash".
Home > Mount > USB STORAGE > uncheck/unmount (then remove USB-OTG).
Home > Reboot > SYSTEM.
Wait ~2-5 mins for boot.
Once booted, let stabilize for ~5 mins.
You can check Data & Cache F2FS FS status in either /proc/mounts or Synapse app (FS section).
Use a root type explorer (su permission) & navigate to /sdcard, and delete the "0" folder.
Move (copy) your backed up files from Step #4 to internal storage (/sdcard). This can take a while. Maybe one folder at a time is better?
ISSUES ?
If using TWRP MTP mode, deleting some folders/files may crash TWRP and cause corruption. Instead, use a root type file explorer to delete from device.
If you need to wipe data, then use the ext4 or f2fs.zip, otherwise this is not possible with this TWRP !!
Not tested any method with customized ROMs. The ROM installer script may re-format partitions back to EXT4 or not mount correctly causing TWRP crash or corruption. I can only suggest to Flash ROM with EXT4 FS > make a NANDROID on USB-OTG and then follow the F2FS steps above.
CONVERT F2FS TO EXT4 FS:
The Same steps as above, but use the ext4.zip !!
OPTIONAL SYNAPSE INSTALLATION:
After boot:
Wait at least 120 secs to stabilize
Install Synapse app from Google Play and rate it ☆☆☆☆☆ !!
Open Synapse
Tap "Understood"
So changes stick every time you start Synapse == Make any change & 'apply'.
Recommend: Disable KNOX with Synapse
DOWNLOADS:
** I will NEVER support KOREAN (S/K/L) variant. Get over it and flash ARTER kernel instead !! **
Mod Edit: Link removed.
BUGS:
Aroma Installer: 10% of installation will encounter Aroma installer "freeze". It's only the display that freeze, the script still execute in the background. Just wait a minute, then press slightly to the top right 'home' key / top left of the 'back' key . . .
UX BETA firmware - blue light filter
UX BETA firmware - torch light (some ROMs)
HD voice ? - Speakerphone: other party cannot hear voice

FAQ & HELP
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE:
I might not have your device variant and or able to reproduce your "issue".
Please provide as much information as possible.
Without resetting your device to a stable unmodified baseline, any potential troubleshooting or logs could be meaningless.
So please follow the guidelines set out below. Users can't "read minds".
Without providing important information, we are unable to help YOU.
Search thread, XDA and Google before posting
Provide as much information as possible.
- Device model
- Firmware version
- ROM name / version
- Kernel version
- Modem version
- Bootloader version
- Synapse settings (try default)
- Installed tweaks and apps etc (Xposed ?)
- The exact steps you've taken to try resolve the issue yourself.
Exact steps to reproduce the issue. Provide screenshots if able.
Does it work with older / other versions etc
Reset your device to a stable baseline (ie. stock) with only custom TWRP recovery and kernel (FULL WIPE: system, cache, dalvik-ART)
Possible logs
FAQ & HELP:
CAN I BUILD A KERNEL FOR YOUR __XX DEVICE ?
Sorry. I don't have the spare time for any more variant support.
Additionally, I do not build for any device that I can not compile using SAME source, personally test method or debug. Some device variants can compile with same source.
CAN I INCLUDE SkyHigh KERNEL IN MY ROM
NO == My ramdisk modifications are COPYRIGHT (refer LICENSE in Post #2), and distribution without MY (UpInTheAir) prior written consent is not only in a breach of that license, but also XDA Rule #12)
Although I do appreciate your contribution, if you could please do not include my kernel in any ROM package etc. This policy goes for anyone.
Having my kernel distributed outside my development thread just removes a lot of credit and more importantly, constructive user feedback that could be helpful to my development or user issue.
ALWAYS on DISPLAY (AoD)
I have spent some time to attempt port S7 display drivers to our kernel, but haven't had success as yet with too many errors.
TBH, it's a lot of work for something I'm not really interested in or would use. . . so I don't wish to spend any more of my own time on it, sorry. If someone else does it, GREAT
DO I "NEED" SYNAPSE
THERE IS NO "NEED" !!
It is "recommended", which is OPTIONAL, and not "needed".
It is for ADVANCED or adventurous users who wish more control of their device or use various features I've added.
Using any other optional tweaking or control app may conflict & many features and options won't be available.
WHY WAIT 120 SECS
The kernel and Synapse scripts need time to boot up properly and allow SU permission.
There are scripts / code that have a deliberate delay and must run after Synapse. These are not user optional.
Synapse has a stability check on boot. You may get "synapse boot cancelled".
Thermal throttling will be trying to limit many things, let the device settle
OTHER PARTY CAN NOT HEAR VOICE ON SPEAKER PHONE
It could be a conflict in the system/etc/mixer_*.xml. I don't know for sure, but if I exclude the sound mod, then this "fixes" the problem.
As I cannot reproduce the issue (and the majority), then the audio mod stays.
Unfortunately, making it optional would require to build kernels without and create much more work for many device I don't actually use.
Either live with it, or use another kernel. Sorry.
"NO UCI SUPPORT"

POOR CPU/GPU BENCHMARK or GRAPHICS PERFORMANCE
Disable any CPU MULTICORE options in Synapse
Disable any Battery profiles in Synapse. Set to default or Performance.
Allow the device to cool. Repetitive testing will heat the device hardware and invoke thermal throttling and lead to decreased benchmark.
HIGH CPU/GPU OC == excessive heat == thermal throttling == reduced clock frequency == DECREASE PERFORMANCE
DYNAMIC MANAGEMENT OF DIRTY PAGE WRITEBACKS
by Christopher83
This feature allows to have two different intervals for dirty page writebacks and to dynamically manage them when the system has been resumed (it's active) or when has been suspended.
Three new procfs parameters are exposed inside /proc/sys/vm path:
dynamic_dirty_writeback is the activation status of this feature, set 1 to enable it, set 0 to disable it and use the standard behaviour
dirty_writeback_active_centisecs is the interval for the dirty page writebacks when the system is active (screen on)
dirty_writeback_suspend_centisecs is the interval for the dirty page writebacks when the system is suspended (screen off)
This feature is in part inspired on Francisco Franco's PATCH

@UpInTheAir needed to create these threads to compile them for Synapse. He contacted me to close these as soon as he made them until he is ready with the finished product. Have patience.
Also I would like to apologize to UITA as the last ban may have been due to a system glitch where the signature was restored upon return, so was unjust. I have seen these glitches before and better communication might have prevented the error. We will do better going forward!

Me likey. Up in the Air can't wait to have you back!

SkyHigh KERNEL REBORN - v5.6 released !!
SkyHigh KERNEL REBORN - v5.6 released !!
Hi fellow members.
Please find my latest release for SkyHigh kernel. There are many many changes, both visually (more / improved features) and a upgraded engine (better performance & efficiency) since I last publicly released. Far too many to talk about. . . .
Please note that although I have taken as much care in building and testing by my friends and I, the kernel may still not perform as hoped for you. Could be due to various factors including (but limited to):
hardware quality
firmware installed (incompatibility)
user habit (how you use the device)
apps & mods installed, customization's (conflicts)
user kernel settings (read them carefully - if in doubt == defaults)
As noted in Post #3, I may not have your device variant and not be always able to help either. In the end, sometimes SkyHigh is just not meant for you . . . .
If you have issues = = READ & FOLLOW ALL Posts #1-3
READ & FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTALLATIONS EXACTLY (or else device will not boot)
Also please note (as per OP) the support for UX based ROMS is still in beta. I have personally tested very briefly, and also some of my friends (not all variant)
Enjoy
UITA

BUG Report Update: UX firmware Bluelight Filte
The blue-light issue is in kernel source.
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + stock ramdisk + stock dt.img == no blue-light
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + stock ramdisk (with permission edits) + stock dt.img == no blue-light
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + UX ramdisk + stock dt.img == no blue-light
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + UX ramdisk + UX dt.img == no blue-light
Which all points to the source I’m using . . . and nothing I can do about it. That's leaked firmware and no proper source, what else to expect. . . .

Good to see you back! Been running v5.6 since early yesterday and it has held up great.
Out of curiosity, I flashed a UX based ROM along with SkyHigh and it booted up. No data since it was for another variant (even though it was claimed that it works for Sprint). Just wanted to report that it was booting for UX.

Nice. Haven't BLIND build for anyone to test for Sprint as so much development has gone on since.
Some variant can be incompatible due to firmware issues, and indeed individual devices too. For example, had to remove the adaptive touchkey and brightness mods for a friends N9208 to remain stable.

YES! You're back!!!
Been running now for 4 hours without any issues. If something wonky happens, I'll get logs.

Well extra props to you for being able to pull this off blind! Maybe somebody smarter than me can port one of the UX ROMs so we can really give it a test.
Thanks again for your work!

Oh, I just meant that the only problem that I found was that I had a no SIM error. I wasn't trying to imply that it was kernel related. More so that the problem was that I was flashing a ROM built for the international variants. From what I could tell, your 920P kernel was running well on UX.

That could be anything. But, most likely due to incompatible ROM same as the T/W8 and not the kernel. Some ramdisk permissions may have changed though.

Up In The Air,
I am loving this new kernel and all the great functions with synapse. My battery is finally lasting 2 days with moderate use. Thanks for coming back and for all your hard work it is greatly appreciated.

Been running this since I got my N5, loving it dude, fantastic work sir... :good:

Thanks for this man. I was just commenting on telegram the other night about the level of reading comprehension and being lucky we have the devs we do for the N920p.
Some people do still read and appreciate the work. :good:

[KERNEL][SINGLE/DUAL BOOT][JB/KK][STOCK/CM]blackhawk's NEXT kernel 2.4

NEXT 2.1.8 placeholder: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51678873&postcount=472
STOP! This kernel supports ONLY Samsung Jelly Bean 4.1.x, 4.2.2, CM 10.1.x, 10.2, and 11.0 ROMs. It won't work on ICS, CM 9, CM 10.
FOR NOW I FORBID ANYONE ELSE REUSE THIS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT DUAL BOOT PROJECT FOR HIS/HER OWN GALAXY TAB 2 PROJECT!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
NEXT 2.x separated in two package: the kernel part as blackhawk-next-kernel-2.x-p51xx.zip and the proprietary binaries part as proprietary-vendor-samsung.zip for JB >= 4.2 (stock 4.2.2, CM 10.2) and proprietary-vendor-samsung-4.1.x.zip for JB 4.1.x (stock 4.1.2, CM 10.1) . Flash the kernel and then directly flash the proprietary binaries!
Download both proprietary-vendor-samsung.zip and proprietary-vendor-samsung-4.1.x.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285366 post #2!
Sources:
Kernel sources at http://github.com/kumajaya/android_kernel_samsung_espresso10/tree/cm-10.1-blackhawk
Features:
Samsung stock 4.1.x, 4.2.2 (since 1.8.3), CM 10.1.x and CM 10.2 (since 1.8.3) support with a single kernel image
For stock ROM: external SD card - internal media swapper script included
Samsung proprietary exFAT modules are loaded. CM 10.1 exFAT support files attached at post #2
For CM/CM based ROM, P31xx only: auto rotate screen default orientation depend on ro.sf.hwrotation value, camera orientation fix included
Dual-booting. You can have Samsung JB and CM 10.1 ROMs on a single device at the same time.
Nice looking AROMA based boot menu
Using CyanogenMod kernel source, updated to p3110 source for newer WLAN (Youtube HD bugfix on stock ROM), modem, sensors driver, and etc for both P31xx and P51xx target

swap support. zram and cleancache with a working zcache driver, enabled by default
kernel config, insmod configs.ko and then you can access /proc/config.gz
external modem support, for PPP Widget (not loaded by default, P31xx need powered USB hub for external modem)
Some tweaks from gokhanmoral's siyahkernel for S3, passive entropy tweak applied
Remove a lot of debug message from touchscreen driver, display, mmc, modem, etc
linaro arm-linux-gnueabihf- cross compiler, compiler optimization applied
SuperSU v1.41 for stock ROM
Self compiled BusyBox v1.22.0-git in /sbin, config file based on CM's BusyBox bbconfig output. fstrim applet patch applied, android_reboot applet added (a quick but clean port from Android toolbox), swapon applet with priority option. For stock ROM: this version of Busybox will overwrite busybox binary in /system/bin or /system/xbin and save it as busybox.backup
Early boot scripts support (/system/etc/init.d, /data/local/userinit.sh, and /data/local/userinit.d)
Post boot script support (/system/etc/init.post_boot.sh)
For stock ROM: custom boot animation support (/data/local/bootanimation.zip or /system/media/bootanimation.zip if exists, Samsung boot animation as a fallback). If a bootanimation.zip found, the boot sound will be turned off as well as the shutdown animation.

30/05/2013: Initial beta release.
Dual Boot FAQs
Adapted from droidphile's "Dual Boot FAQs" with permission.
1. "Why would I wanna dual-boot?"
A. You don't have to.
Suppose you're more of an aosp rom fan. But misses the HDMI out, bluetooth hands-free and love sammy camera more. Do a minimal installation of sammy rom and boot into it when in need of these features and use aosp rom otherwise.
Or you are a sammy rom fan but love the responsiveness and pure android feel of aosp roms.
And while you can dual boot two sammy or two aosp roms, it doesn't make any sense.
2. "What if I don't need dual booting?"
A. No issues. Kernel won't force to setup 2 roms. You can single boot as before.
3. "Will dual booting change my bootloader or do any dangerous stuff like setting my phone on fire?"
A. NO. Changes are at kernel and ramfs level only. Some space in your internal sd card is used, and also the unused hidden partition mmcblk0p11 is used to store cache of second rom. Dual booting doesn't repartition the filesystem or perform anything scary.
4. "I want to setup dual booting."
A. There are four situations:-
1) Sammy rom now. Want to use aosp as secondary.
2) Sammy rom now. Want to use aosp as primary.
3) Aosp rom now. Want to use sammy as secondary.
4) Aosp rom now. Want to use sammy as primary.
Prerequisites for any setup is
a) Flash latest blackhawk's NEXT kernel
b) Flash new ducati vendor blobs (since 1.8.x)
c) Flash latest PhilZ Touch - blackhawk repack version - recovery
d) Atleast 90% battery left.
e) 2 GB free on internal SD.
f) Some spare time
1) Present sammy, setup aosp as secondary:-
i) Reboot into recovery
ii) Flash blackhawk's NEXT tool, create system.img for CM/CM based ROM and then close it
iii) Reboot into secondary recovery
iv) Flash aosp ROM as 2nd ROM
v) Flash blackhawk's NEXT kernel again
vi) Flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
2) Present sammy, setup aosp as primary:-
i) Reboot into recovery
ii) Nandroid backup your current sammy ROM
iii) Flash blackhawk's NEXT tool, create system.img for Samsung stock/stock based ROM and then close it
iv) Reboot into secondary recovery
v) Nandroid restore your sammy ROM as 2nd ROM
vi) Flash blackhawk's NEXT kernel again
vii) Flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
viii) Reboot into primary recovery
ix) Flash aosp ROM as 1st ROM
x) Flash blackhawk's NEXT kernel again
xi) Flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
3) Present aosp, setup sammy as secondary:-
Same as (1), instead of flashing aosp to second, flash sammy to second.
4) Present aosp, setup sammy as primary:-
Same as (2), instead of flashing aosp to first ROM, flash sammy.
NOTE:
-To dual boot Two Aosp or Two Sammy roms, just follow (1) or (2) (depending on which one of them you want as primary/secondary), just flash Sammy instead of aosp or aosp instead of sammy.
5. "What things should I be taking care off while dealing with dual booting?"
A. - Make sure where you are: in primary or secondary recovery.
6. "How to boot into primary rom?"
A. AROMA based boot menu will help you on every boot.
7. "How to boot into secondary rom?"
A. AROMA based boot menu will help you on every boot.
8. "Is kernel partition shared?"
A. Yes. Same kernel boots both roms.
9. "If I flash another kernel (that doesn't support db) do I lose dual booting?"
A. Yes
10. "I lost dualbooting after flashing another kernel. I didn't do anything to second rom files in sdcard/.secondrom. How can I get db back?"
A. Just flash the latest blackhawk's NEXT kernel, flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
11. "Will there be any performance degradation on the rom used as secondary compared to primary?"
A. NO
12. "Will my phone run slow overall because of db?"
A. NO
13. "How to flash a newer version of 1st rom?"
A. As usual, just flash it from primary recovery. Flash blackhawk's NEXT kernel again, flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
14. "How to flash newer version of 2nd rom?"
A. Just flash it from secondary recovery. Flash blackhawk's NEXT kernel again, flash new ducati vendor blobs again (since 1.8.x)
15. "Would upgrading 1st or second rom cause other rom to fail on boot?"
A. No. Partitions of other rom are not touched during upgrading.
16. "I miss the recovery I used before, so much.."
A. PhilZ Touch not bad at all.
17. "User apps of 1st rom are automatically available for second rom?"
A. NO. However, if you had backed them up using Titanium Backup or similar apps, just restore apps while on second rom.
18. "I wanna keep separate backup for apps in both the Roms, since I use one Rom for say entertainment and other productivity."
A. Setup different backup directory in Titanium Backup in 1st and 2nd rom.
19. "I don't see STweaks app in second rom."
A. This is blackhawk's NEXT dual boot solution for Galaxy Tab 2, a free implementation of gokhanmoral's Siyah dual boot.
20. "Do I need to anything special before flashing a newer blackhawk's NEXT kernel?"
A. NO. Just flash kernel in primary and secondary recovery. Yes, on both 1st and 2nd ROM. Just flash kernel in recovery - whichever you used to do. Kernel image is copied to the unified kernel partition (since 1.4 version). Flash new ducati vendor blobs (since 1.8.x) on both ROM may be required to ensure vendor blobs match to the kernel
21. "How can I run same STweaks settings of 1st Rom in 2nd Rom?"
A. This is blackhawk's NEXT dual boot solution for Galaxy Tab 2, a free implementation of gokhanmoral's Siyah dual boot.
22. "How do I remove everything related to DB and run single boot again?"
A. In primary recovery, flash blackhawk's NEXT tool and delete 2nd ROM system image. OR delete .secondrom directory in /data/media while on 1st Rom.
23. "If secondrom files are kept in /data/media, will wiping data in recovery erase second rom files?"
A. NO. /data/media is skipped in CWM recovery.
24. "I was using ExFat card on sammy rom without any issues. I have setup dual boot with aosp and now after booting into CM it says microSD card is corrupted."
A. Aosp roms doesn't support ExFat out of the box. The data was corrupted by aosp vold. Even if you boot back to Sammy rom, it still would be corrupted. To recover data, manually mount the card in recovery, copy contents to internal SD and reformat card to a Fat32.
Also try
chkdsk X: /f (where X is the drive letter of microsd), you may be able to copy data.
25. "I read somewhere that both rom data partition use the same space. Doesn't that mean my apps are shared across roms?"
A. NO. It just means they uses same partition. They're still different directories.
1st rom data = /data
2nd rom data = /data/media/.secondrom/data
26. "Will hitting "Boot into Secondary Recovery" in recovery boot menu change my recovery?"
A. NO. It just runs (not flash) an alternate recovery so that you can configure dualboot settings.
27. "How do I backup 1st Rom and 2nd Rom?"
A. To backup 1st Rom, do what you did to backup rom while you were single booting a while ago.
To backup 2nd Rom, use the secondary recovery.
28. "Is there an easier way for dual-boot?"
A. Yes, send your device to me.
29. "DB architecture?"
A. Like you know, every rom has a /data, /system, /cache partition and a kernel to boot.
For primary rom, it's
mmcblk0p10 = /data
mmcblk0p9 = /system
mmcblk0p7 = /cache
And these won't change whether you're single booting or dual booting.
For secondary rom, data and system is stored in internal sd, cache in hidden partition. Note that internal sd in our device is mounted to /data/media.
We have data as a directory, System as an image in data/media/.secondrom. Cache in mmcblk0p11 which is hidden partition and not used otherwise.
- When second rom is booting, second rom data is bind mounted to mmcblk0p10 as /data/
- data/media/.secondrom/system.img partition is mounted as /system.
- mmcblk0p11 is mounted as /cache.
More FAQs will be added and the list will be updated as DB is improved.

Just opened a new thread for my masterpiece work on Galaxy Tab 2. Enjoy it and don't forget to press my Thanks button or better my DTM button
PhilZ Touch attached in post #1 has a "red" on screen navigation bar in secondary recovery to distinguish between primary and secondary :laugh:
So this kernel boots 1 ROM over internal storage and second over SD card?

Please try increase the CPU voltage by 25mV. In this version, CPU voltage 50mV lower than the previous values. You can use Android Tuner or /system/etc/init.post_boot.sh .
KK, you are a genius! This is working splendidly, I have cyanogen as my primary and blaster as my secondary and they are both workihg smooth for me so far... I have them both running currently at 1200 mhz and seem to be doing fine.. you have really made my day!

Really? And all your init.d scripts removed by NEXT
That's okay cuz I have No Frills set up for my CPU settings. Of course my public release is still running kkboot 1.6.
After looking at your install script IDK if I would include this in my ROM if/when you allow people to. I'll let them make up their own mind.

Personally, I found that Zap Blaster works well my device (p5113) because of the IR and such.. plus at the time it was overclockable and my HDMI output worked well with it. So, I decided to use it for awhile.. but I could not resist CM because it runs so smooth and I love how clean and reliable it has always been on me for this device as well as other devices I have owned.
Again, I am very happy about this DUAL boot option and I don't think I will change my setup for a time to come... My tablet is perfect now, in my opinion. Thanks again, KK.
The tablet behaviour between this kernel and the samsung original kernel is completely different! Ketut, if samsung would give a crap about their customers, they should buy this kernel from you and push it on all the galaxy tab 2... but that's not going to happen, so actually only the xda members have the chance to see their tablet working as it should, thanks to your work. Lucky us

[DISCONTINUED][KERNEL][G906S/K/L][4.4][5.0] Lolliwiz Kernel R10 [Sep 8]

This post can be updated anytime.
For korean support and for those who can translate Korean, visit my blog:
http://kykint.tistory.com/
Download TWRP Recovery v2.8.7.0 for G906SKL
/* Requirements */
* Galaxy S5 broadband LTE-A (SM-G906S, G906K, G906L)
* Samsung stock firmware or Dokdo-projct
- Kitkat: ANK1
- Lollipop: BOG2 for G906K, BOH1 for G906S/L
* Custom recovery (Philz, TWRP, etc)
/* Note before using */
* Backup important data before installing
* Upon installation, every warranty inclusing KNOX becomes void
* I, kykint, am not responsible for any inconvenience or problems that occur while using this kernel
* Only one hotplug driver should be on (mpdecision, intelli_plug, alucard_hotplug, lazyplug)
Lazyplug is currently not supported on kernel customizing applications. Wait until their developers update.
* Dokdo-Project version of lolliwiz is highly experimental. Don't complain about battery drain.
It also does not support uninstaller yet.
/* About new installer */
Since Release 9, the installer will automatically extract your device's ramdisk, merge it with lolliwiz kernel, and then install it.
Upon installation, if a backup folder (/system/lolliwiz-bak) is found, it will automatically restore it first and then continue installation.
It will backup original boot.img and sensors library to the backup folder (/system/lolliwiz-bak) while installing.
There might be some problems regarding this new installer, so please keep the following instructions in mind.
* When installing another variant's ROM, do not install lolliwiz right after flashing ROM.
Install the stock kernel of your variant, and then install lolliwiz.
* Those who have been using R8 or older version of lolliwiz must flash stock kernel first before installing R9 or later.
* Do not install stock kernel when lolliwiz is installed on your device.
Only install stock kernel when uninstaller fails to remove lolliwiz and restore to stock kernel.

/* Chatters */
Release 9 and 10 are mostly bug fix releases, so there isn't much difference.
Kitkat support has been put off to R11, and if a bug is found again and R11 happens to be released early, it will be put off to later release again.
Still, I'm considering EOL of kitkat version as it is becoming harder to support the old Linux version.

F2FS Conversion manual
/* F2FS Conversion Manual */
(for LP and Dokdo-Project only, no KK support)
(Not tested on Dokdo-Project)
I will not add any additional explanations about F2FS, since this is a very risky task and recommended only for experts,
and since not knowing about F2FS means that you're not one of them.
Cautions
1. Conversion process of /data partition and filesystem will wipe away every single data in your device,
so every data in internal sdcard should be backed up on your PC.
2. Flashing /cache partition image when the device has already been converted to F2FS will format /cache partition to EXT4,
so manual conversion process of /cache partition to F2FS must be done again.
3. The /cache partition image mentioned above is included in stock firmware package, so be careful when installing stock firmware
4. Inside stock firmware is included a stock kernel which only supports EXT4, so again, be careful when installing stock firmware
5. /data and /cache partition must be set to the same filesystem, both EXT4, or both F2FS
6. I personally recommend that every process be done using my TWRP recovery, which will be posted in a seperate thread later.
7. The F2FS version of kernel zip has a '_F2FS' tag at the end of its filename, while EXT4 has nothing.
Be careful, Dokdo-Project version supports both EXT4 and F2FS, so they're not seperated,
and when converting to F2FS on Dokdo-Project, you can skip kernel switching(reinstalling) process.
How to change filesystem on TWRP
Wipe > Advanced Wipe > (Select a partition) > Repair or Change File System > Change FIle System > (choose between EXT4 and F2FS) > Swipe to Change
* It takes a great amount of time when changing to EXT4, up to several minutes.
How to check current filesystem on TWRP
Wipe > Advanced Wipe > (Select a partition) > Repair or Change File System
and you'll see your current filesystem on the upper part of the screen.
Converting to F2FS
0. For stability, flash uninstaller first if you already have lolliwiz installed.
1. Install F2FS version of Lolliwiz. (_F2FS.zip)
2. Change the filesystem of /data and /cache partition to F2FS.
3. Reboot into recovery mode again.
Back to EXT4
0. For stability, flash uninstaller first if you already have lolliwiz installed.
1. Install EXT4 version of Lolliwiz.
2. Change the filesystem of /data and /cache partition to EXT4.
3. Reboot into recovery mode again.
Installing stock firmware on F2FS
1. Reboot into download mode and install stock firmware with odin as usual.
2. When the installation finishes, it'll automatically reboot into recovery mode and flash CSC package.
Wait until androboy disappears and the device reboots again.
3. Reboot into download mode again.
4. Install my TWRP.
5. Reboot into recovery right after installing.
6. Install F2FS version of lolliwiz.
7. Format /cache partition to F2FS
8. Run factory reset if needed. This is an option.
9. Reboot.
If the device won't boot even if you carefully followed all of the above instructions, repeat the process again.
Thanks
Thanks I was on the Korean forums yesterday trying to translate lol.
I noticed there's a test for b5. Giving it a try.
One issue I seem to have on b4 and 5 test is that no matter what kernel tuning app I use if I turn off mpdecision and intelliplug on, after a reboot mpdecision always comes back on.

Kernel settings are set to defaults on each reboot and the default setting on hotplug is mpdecision on, intelli_plug off. That's why every kernel app has the ability to restore previous settings after reboot. Try enableing them, kernel adiutor works fine for me

Thanks, but I told it to save settings. It's weird as all the settings were saved, including intelliplug on, but mpdecision was turned on as well. I'll uninstall it and start again!

Nice to hear it's working well now.
I don't get donations, maybe you could donate to the REAL developers out there, they're always working hard for us XD
Very interesting!
I'm reading the Asian forums since a week and I have found that this kernel is well used.
How can I flash back stock kernel if something happens? And where can I find stock kernels??
If they are unavailable, I'd like to make my own Odin tar.md5 files for flashing stock kernel.
Can I follow the script/batch procedure (found here on Xda) that produces the tar.md5 flashable files?
Tnx!!

Good!
I'm following the Asian forum where I've found this kernel and related config app, from which I've read that there's a modified version of the app....And for this please give me some infos.
I'm also searching for some interesting custom rom as I see there are some, like the KingWolf one or the Milan one.
Any help on using this kernel with some roms?
Tnx!

I uploaded lollipop stock kernels for both recovery and odin. I'll upload for kitkat as well when I get the latest kitkat firmware.
Sorry, this might be a dumb question, but I'd rather ask it then brick my only smart-phone:
I'm currently on miscom's ROM (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/galaxy-s5-g906-custom-rom-t2848569)
Also using Philz recovery
How do I get to the Lolliwiz Kernel safely? Can I keep my apps, settings and so on?
Again, sorry. This is my first android phone (but certainly not the last one!) and I'm pretty clueless... But getting the miscom kernel on it was pretty easy with a bit of reading...

Make a backup of whole apps with TitaniumBackup first, then backup system, data, boot in philz recovery(run custom backup) and flash stock lollipop through odin. miscom's rom is 4.4.2 as I know of, and my kernel supports 5.0.1 only at the moment.
If your phone bootloops after flashing lollipop, factory reset through philz and restore apps from TitaniumBackup, or flash back stock kitkat firmware and then restore system, data, boot in recovery.
Note that flashing stock firmware will blow away your recovery and you should manually install it again with odin. Also, factory reset through philz will preserve your internal sdcard but stock recovery WILL NOT.

Did it like instructed... After flashing stuck lollipop, stuck on the second boot logo ("olleh o" for me).
Since recovery went back to stock, tried a factory reset and cache delete from the stock recovery... no help....

This GUIDE is aimed at users who want to REDUCE HEATING/TEMPERATURE & get LONGER BATTERY LIFE on all versions of the RR ROM
(It wont affect your AnTuTu scores much & you will be able to use your phone for hours without your battery, phone or fingers burning up)
NOTE: My tweaks are related to HARDWARE (CPU, GPU, IO & Screen) & not the software's power consumption
PRINCIPLE OF TWEAKS: : [1] Undervolting the CPU - to draw less power & run cooler
All the below steps will only take about 5 minutes to complete (& another 5 minutes if you need to install the Kernel)
STEP 1 - Flash ALUCARD's Kernel V3.4.108 (if you haven't already done so) from here (Thank's to @_Bon_Bon for the latest Kernel & permission to use his work)
Boot into recovery & flash the Zip (just like you flashed your ROM) - you will not lose any data at all
__________________________________________________
STEP 2 (AUTO MODE)
If you wish to get ALL my Kernel Tweaks in ONE STEP simply download this file OR download the default.zip (you need to unzip it) attachment
Save it to the root of your INTERNAL MEMORY (see screenshot on where it should be - you may already have a file with the same name there - please delete it)
Now open sTweaks -> select the BACKUP OR RESTORE tab -> Press RESTORE NOW
Wait 30 seconds.....
Now REBOOT -> open STWEAKS -> CPU Voltage - click Check the CPU Voltage are same as below (to be sure the settings are active) :good:
ALTERNATIVELY:....... (Manual mode - so you are involved in what is happening )
Open the sTweaks app -> CPU Voltage Control & put ON the CPU VOLTAGE MAIN SWITCH
Now set voltages as below:
NOTE: (these are for a PVS2 & above chipset found in over 90% of i9505's)
IF you face any freezing+lines on screen (it is because of others tweaks/settings - please stick to just using my Kernel settings)
IF freezing still persists it means you have a PVS1 or PVS0 chip - simply add +25mV to each setting if that's the case
378 kHz 750000 uV
486 kHz 750000 uV
594 kHz 750000 uV
702 kHz 775000 uV
810 kHz 812500 uV
918 kHz 825000 uV
1026 kHz 850000 uV
1134 kHz 875000 uV
1242 kHz 887500 uV
1350 kHz 912500 uV
1458 kHz 950000 uV
1566 kHz 975000 uV
1674 kHz 1012500 uV
1782 kHz 1062500 uV
1890 kHz 1100000 uV
Now go to the GPU tab in sTweaks & put on the " GPU VOLTAGE MAIN SWITCH"
Set GPU voltages as below
Level 1 895000 uV
Level 2 1000000 uV
Level 3 1100000 uV
Now Click on the CPU page & ensure ENABLE ON BOOT (Load all settings on Boot) & below it press LOAD ALL
REBOOT -> open STWEAKS -> CPU Voltage - click Check CPU Voltage (to be sure your above voltage settings are active) :good:
DONE !
I've overworked my phone for >100 hours & done over 55 full CPU/GPU stress tests with multiple CPU & benchmark tools to give you these STABLE final results.
With Games + Downloads + Benchmarking + Other apps + CPU Monitoring was running the CPU reached just 62C (see it in the screenshot attached)
I also took 2 back-to-back comparative benchmarks using AnTuTu & got 27,000 (an overall drop of just 6% from the initial 29,000)
RAM performance increases (cooler & more efficient) while Runtime & 3D performance loses out a little but this won't affect you unless you are into hardcore gaming/too much multi-tasking (if so then please do not reduce the GPU voltages)
Do share your results & experience - Happy tweaking folks! :highfive: & don't forget to hit that THANKS:good: button
This guide is aimed at users who want to get LONGER BATTERY LIFE on all versions of the RR ROM
(It wont affect your AnTuTu scores & you will be able to use your phone for hours without your battery burning up)
NOTE: This only tweaks the HARDWARE (CPU, Screen, Vibrator) & not the software's power consumption
PRINCIPLE OF TWEAKS:
1) Exploiting the AMOLED screen - to display more black (pixels off) thus increase battery life
2) Adjusting simple accessible settings - to improve performance/battery
All the below steps will only take about 5 minutes to complete from you SETTINGS MENU
_____________________________________________
MOBILE NETWORKS -> Preferred 3G/2G (unless you really want 4G)
MORE -> NFC (Off)
CONFIGURATIONS -> MISCELLANEOUS -> Widgets/CLOCK widget Setting(increase update freq) , Vibrator Intensity (40%)
CONFIGURATIONS -> BUTTONS -> Navigation Bar Buttons (OFF if using Hardware keys)
CONFIGURATIONS-> HARDWARE KEYS (Enable if BUTTONS is OFF) -> Backlight (Enable for 1 second)
THEMES -> Install "Nicholas' Blacked Out" theme & Also "Pitch Black" wallpaper (from PLAY STORE)
DISPLAY -> Adaptive Brightness (ON) , Sleep (15s or 30s) , Daydream (OFF) , Ambient Display (ON)
SOUND & NOTIFICATION -> Other Sounds -> Touch Sounds (OFF), Vibrate on touch (OFF), Vibrate (OFF)
DEVELOPER OPTIONS -> Window Animation Scale (1 or OFF), Transition Animation Scale (1 or OFF), Animator duration scale (1 or OFF)
SUPER SU# -> Settings -> Enable Su during boot (ON)
DONE !!! :good::good:
Screenshot's attached!
Don't forget to hit THANKS if I helped. :good::fingers-crossed:
p.s : This also works on other ROM's where you have similar settings that you can toggle/edit
.

EXT4 on /system is actually faster than F2FS, because it's a read only partition.
So, if you don't mess around with /system on a regular basis, converting it is not necessary.
Code:
[B] Converting filesystems through formatting: [/B]
1. Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
2. Click the checkbox for the desired partition
3. Click Repair or Change File System
4. Now you can see the current filesystem format, if it’s already F2FS, can skip to step 6
5. Click ‘Change File System’ -> choose F2FS and swipe to change
6. Done!
[B] Converting filesystems through restoring a backup: [/B]
1. Go to Backup and choose the partition(s) you want to convert and back them up
2. Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
3. Click the checkbox for the desired partition
4. Click Repair or Change File System
5. Now you can see the current filesystem format, if it’s already F2FS, can skip to step 10
6. Click ‘Change File System’ -> choose F2FS and swipe to change
7. Go to Settings and check: ”Use rm -rf instead of formatting”
8. Go to Restore and select the backup you made earlier
9. Restore the partition you converted to F2FS from that backup
10. Repeat above steps for all partitions you desire to convert / backed-up
11. Done!

Additional tweaks
Some other small tweaks and tricks that aren’t that effective or aren’t suitable for the average user
You have been warned, some of the following TIPs aren’t suitable for everyone! So try them at your own risk!
Code:
1. Reducing resolution
Now, this boosts graphics performance A LOT, but can cause instability
You need a resolution changer app, I’d recommend NOMone Resolution
Changer from the Play Store
You have two choices, two thirds of the original resolution or three fourths
of the original resolution
(These two are the ones I chose, you can try out your own ones at your own risk)
Original
[ATTACH]3407082._xfImport[/ATTACH]
2/3
[ATTACH]3407084._xfImport[/ATTACH]
Width = 720, Height = 1280, LCD Density = 360 / 330
Gives more performance, difference is hard to see
[B] (Some games and apps might not be supported with this resolution, like Dead Trigger 2) [/B]
In addition, if you think that the icons are too large, you can go back and change LCD Density to 330
3/4
[ATTACH]3407083._xfImport[/ATTACH]
Width = 810, Height = 1440, LCD Density = 360
Gives performance, difference is impossible to see
3. Recommended and useful apps
sEFix, Entropy Tweaker
It’s a handy little app that changes Entropy generation threshold. Increasing Entropy generation threshold can reduce slowdowns while using apps that rely on randomly generated numbers.
Code:
1. Download the app from the Play Store, [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zdvdev.sef"]here[/URL]
2. Open the app and move the slider, so the threshold shows 1024
3. Done!
Greenify, App Hibernator
Now then, we’ve all heard about the battery and performance boosting app, known as Greenify
It needs no introduction and no explanation, just go check out its XDA thread and enjoy your new found power!
Amplify, WakeLock stopper
Using this app you can prevent and customize what Wakelocks are allowed to happen and how often. It’s a handy app and worth your time, so go check out its website!
Power Nap For XPOSED
Yet another Wakelock blocker. This app lets you choose what applications that are allowed to cause Wakelocks and it blocks all others. Go check out its XDA thread!
4. Themes and personalization
This is why Android, for me anyways, it’s the best OS for your phone out there.
Customizations! Themes! Boot Animations! Endless possibilities!
So I challenge you, to tell us your favourite themes and layouts and leave links from where to find them! Some of them will be given a place in this guide!

CAMERA HACKS & MODS
If you face a Camera bug on any Lollipop ROM where hardware interface crashes after shooting some photos/videos & it says "UNABLE/IMPOSSIBLE TO CONNECT TO CAMERA".
just reboot into recovery & flash this file
Your camera will NEVER crash again!!!! Credits to @AntaresOne
Samsung's Camera drivers are closed-source (locked) so custom ROM developers are not able to extract the full potential of the hardware (eg HDR & manual camera settings such as focal length etc.)
No Camera app can fix that issue - however I would recommend you use any of these Camera applications:
1)"OpenCamera" from Play store
2) Google Camera (preinstalled) for normal & panorama shots.
3) CM12 modded CameraNext v22 from this link
"CM Camera" is nice but again due to driver limitations it's features get limited & also Panorama sometimes crashes!
MODS/ZIPS
Here you'll find all my handy little mods and explanations what they do
I do accept request, just don't ask me to build an AI ;D
These mods require the latest busybox and init.d support!
Busybox
Don't have Busybox, or you don't like your current build? Then try mine!
It comes in 3 different builds to be used in different situations and is definitely worth your time
Now also includes a dynamic installer script! It can be used to install and update the build, so you only have to download the installer once!
SwaPa
Using this script the user can create a swap space into cache, from 50mb to 150mb.
Most users don't need it, as it's only useful if you're doing some serious multitasking or benchmarking.
When android runs out of physical memory (that rarely happens on our phone) it normally starts to kill any inactive background processes, but first gives them a chance to persist their progress (Caching or writing it down to /data) With swap, android moves the process to a swap file and retrieves it when it's needed again, so it acts like a slower version of RAM.
It also has the ability to remove all swap spaces, including Zram.
Zram is bad on a phone with a lot of physical ram (like ours) so it can be disabled. You can read more about it here.
Fstrim 3.0
When android deletes files it just writes 0 to the block where it was. This means that when android wants to rewrite to that block, it first has to completely empty it and this decreases performance. And someone could potentially recover the data that was on that block, possibly stealing personal information. So this script every 5 hours "trims" (clears blocks considered empty) /data, /system, /preload and /cache, prolonging your phones storage lifetime and improving performance. And it creates a log file to /data so you can see how much was "trimmed" You can read more about it here.
New feature! Cache dumping! Android caches apps for faster start-up and usage, but on some ROMs/Kernels this can cause lag after few days, or even few hours! Now this script dumps the cached ram for an instant speed boost!

@droidblitz you must keep the sTweaks settings for AC Charging at 1900mA in the Kernel & USB at 460mA
Only if you have a charger 1.9A charger only will it charge super-fast to full capacity - BUT it will also heat up the circuits & it's not advisable to use the phone at such times.
P.S - I don't have the original charger (nor do I have the original battery) so I use a 1A charger to fill the battery & it does the job in a few hours (around 4-5 hrs I guess) and it doesnt heat the battery or circuits much (which means my battery will last me much much longer)

Just wait a minute, then press slightly to the top right 'home' key / top left of the 'back' key . . .

Sorry.

Disable any Battery profiles in Synapse. Set to default or Performance.
Allow the device to cool. Repetitive testing will heat the device hardware and invoke thermal throttling and lead to decreased benchmark.

Far too many to talk about. . . .
And no - it DOES NOT fix call audio issue with leaked UX ROM. I believe it to be a ROM issue n!
Enjoy
UITA

BUG Report Update: UX firmware Bluelight Filter
The blue-light issue is in kernel source.
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + stock ramdisk + stock dt.img == no blue-light
Compiled & flash SkyHigh + stock ramdisk (with permission edits) + stock dt.img == no blue-light

I see your posts in various development threads. . .
From your history, seems you're never happy with anything.. .
THREE options:
1. Read and follow what's requested of YOU top of Post #3.
2. Use a different kernel
3. Use stock
Anyone using a Grace UX rom with this kernel and if so can you link me one that's working? Been wanting to try it out.

UN-recognised Developer of my SkyHigh Kernel v5.6.x powered SM-N920C

[KERNEL][STOCK] N0Kernel [Android Q][G7/V35/V40]

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PHONE BRICKS! YOU ARE FLASHING THIS KERNEL AND ITS YOUR CHOICE TO DO IT OR NOT TO DO IT AND YOU'RE THE ONE DOING IT. I JUST WANT TO HELP OTHERS OUT.
REQUIREMENTS: UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER AND ROOT.
IMPORTANT: THIS KERNEL IS MEANT TO WORK ONLY ON STOCK ROM, IT WONT WORK ON CUSTOM ROMS, CUSTOM ROMS ALREADY PROVIDE WITH THE ROM CUSTOM KERNEL AS ALMOST ALL CUSTOM ROMS ALREADY USE MY KERNEL, THIS IS A MODIFIED VERSION OF THE CUSTOM ROM KERNEL AVAILABLE IN DOTOS BUT FOR STOCK ROM. IT CAN WORK ON ANY LG G7 THINQ MODEL.
How to flash:
1. Download Smartpack Kernel Manager (free) from playstore or any other kernel manager that supports flashing zips such as Franco kernel manager, Ex kernel manager etc;
2. Go to Flash section in the kernel manager, in smartpack press on the 3 lines in the top left corner, scroll down and tap on SmartPack;
3. Press on the button that looks like a lightning, select the zip and wait for it to flash;
4. Reboot;
5. Enjoy.
Features:
- Compiled with Proton Clang 13.0;
- Upstreamed ZRAM compression and decompression algorithms, now ZRAM should be almost as fast as RAM;
- Sultan's Custom Input Boost;
- Sultan's Devfreq Boost;
- F2FS support.
- Rapid GC for F2FS thanks to Arter97;
- Modified CpuSets;
- Quad dac driver backported from LG V50 ThinQ;
- Simple lmk from sultan;
- 4.9.235.
- LA.UM.8.3.r1-08100-sdm845.0 CAF Tag, Why 8100 only and not newer ? Because it performs the best, i've tested even Android 11 tags, it performs worse, this tag is more efficient for battery life while maintaining same performance if not better;
- RCU backported from 4.14 kernel;
- Binder backported from 5.4 kernel;
- Cpu idle, lmp levels and pm qos improvements, should reduce idle drain.
- Sultan's Pid Map improvements. (Helps a lot in gaming performance, especially in genshin impact);
- A lot of KGSL improvements thanks to Sultan. (KGSL - GPU driver in the kernel);
- Cache improvements;
- Scheduler Improvements;
- CONFIG_HZ = 250;
- 128kb Readahead. Why ? Because thats the default value in linux and pixels as well;
- Updated Energy Model from freqbench result , this will lead to less power consumption;
- Removed inefficient frequencies;
- Added efficient frequencies in schedutil;
- Improvements in schedutil;
- Added support for steam & nintendo swich controllers;
- Many other improvements.

Useful Guides:
How to unlock bootloader
How to root:
This method works on any lg g7 thinq model apart TM (T-Mobile)
Firstly you have to unlock bootloader.
1. Install magisk manager
2. Boot into 9008 mode
3. Backup your boot_a image using Qfil (Read data)
4. Copy it to your phone
5. Rename it to boot_a.img
6. Go in magisk manager —-> install —-> Select and patch an image —-> select the image.
7. Copy the patched boot image file to your PC (its located in downloads folder in your phone)
8. Flash it with fastboot/qfil ( fastboot flash boot_a < drag and drop over the cmd the image > // select boot_a and load image in qfil)
NOTE: IF IT TELLS YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT ROOTED THEN DO THE SAME PROCESS BUT WITH BOOT_B.
Special Thanks:
- SGCMarkus;
- J0sh1x;
- Thenotonly;
- LlamaMonster;
- ErickG233;
- Sultan (kernel toast);
- Arter97;
- Many other great developers.
Changelog:
N0kernel 2.8:
- Fixed Apex mobile, pubg, bgmi lagging after their latest update;
- Overclocked GPU to 820mhz;

- Using kmem_cache in various parts of the kernel;
- Crypto backports;
- KGSL & DRM backports for lower latency;
- Updated arm routines to latest versions;
- Other improvements under the hood, feel free to check my github page.
N0kernel 2.7:

- Disabled process reclaim & oom killer because we use simple lmk and they shouldn't co exist;
- Proc and profs, pidmap improvements;
- Many other changes but i don't remember them.
- Also supporting LG V40 ThinQ and LG V35 ThinQ
N0kernel 2.6:
- New thermal engine added in kernel, will provide cooler temps while better performance in gaming.
- Fixed direct references to hz
- Added state notifier for input boost and devfreq boost
- Added ability to track fps in games, now fk kernel manager or other apps should be able to read fps not the screen refresh rate.
- More changes, you can check the github to see the changes.
N0kernel 2.0:
- Removed uclamp;
- Added dynamic stune boost;
- Added efficient frequencies in schedutil;
- Performance Improvements regarding schedutil;
- mm improvements;
- CONFIG_HZ = 250 because it seems to reduce the jitter;
- Low latency display & touchscreen.
N0Kernel 1.2:
- Fixed ram management;
- Fixed "corrupted sdcard";
- Reduced battery drain on idle.
Thank you so much! is working so good!!!

is there a step by step tutorial for this? im a newbie
Thank you so much for sharing this. I've successfully flashed this on my Korean variant G7 [G710N]
I have a problem with my 128GB SD card, my phone can't use it anymore when it is formatted as exFAT. When I insert it in my phone it always say that it is corrupted and that I need to format it, but when I format it in my phone it's formatted as FAT32. I'm sure that I've used a couple of exFAT SD cards before, is it because of this kernel?
Tested the kernel.. so far the lg g7 stays cool on geishin impact, and the battery last a little longer, nice job developer, thank for your job, just two questions ..
1: will the kernel be updated from time to time?(i hope so)
2: what are the best configs for this kernel(for battery and for performance)?

1. Yes it will be updated when i find more improvements to do in the kernel.
2. There are no configs, do not use any other modules related to performance,tweaks whatever those do worse do not try any ( examples like: nfs tweaker, zeetatweaks, fde optimiser) or whatever they were called just do not use this type of modules if you want the best performance and battery life. The kernel is already tuned for the best meaning you do not have to tweak anything.

The kernel should not affect this kind of stuff, you can try flashing 1.0 again, over 1.2, becauuse you can do that as it replaces the entire kernel there's no "updating" process its just replacing the kernel.

Gcam with buffer fix (Gcam_6.2.030_Advanced_BF_V2.2.1.190822.1145) is working fine for me.
Sorry guys, was the Secure boot. I enabled this after updated the kernel. Tried rollback 1.1, 1.0 and no sucess... the gcam was broken on 1.0 too. Then i thinked that could be the secure boot (Encendido Seguro in spanish). After reboot the gcam started going fine.
Sorry about my bull**** over 1.2.
Running the N0kernel for the first day and no problems so far, everything seems to be very stable. Cant really compare to stock, I only have the phone for a few days.
