What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the zenfone 2 which from there xosp development has continued ever since.

I may not update any of my threads for a while. Busy with something fabulous

Reserved.

It works nice. Very smooth... Third party cameras have problems, but this is known with the current cm branch. Something has changed in hal I guess from cm13beta1 to cm13beta2 and it broke the cameras ... The included camera seems to work ok... Thanks.

how do I download xospapps? clicked onthe link but can not see anything on the new site

Ok just tried and this rom is awesome! Really smooth and nice UI. But I found some bugs/not working features:
1. Tap to wake up doesnt work
2. Viper4android freezes everytime I try to update.
3. Wallpapers are oversized. They should be 960*854.
Overall it is really nice and fast! Those blur options are amazing, makes the rom beautiful!

Sorry, my bad. That link is old, use this: XOSP Apps
Thanks Updated in OP
Tap to wake isn't included in the stock mm kernel. This rom along with most others use the basic cm kernel.
V4A freezes while it is setting up. Give it about 2-3 mins and it'll return and ask you to reboot to complete install.
About the wallpapers, lemme see what I can do. The boot animation seems oversized too, so fixing that should even get correct sizes for wallpapers.

Can you add some screenshoots?

ROM works quite good, but I have one question. How can I change wallpaper on block screen?
EDIT: OK, I found this.

Yeah about the wallpapers, I realized that Xperia home on Xperia L can only display 960*854 ones without zooming in, I guess it is about screen resolution. Just resize those wallpapers to 960*854 and it will be perfect. Yeah the bootanimation seems to be oversized too, but I think it is fine

Sure, uploaded in the screenshots section.
Note, in these screenshots I didn't have XOSP Apps installed

I think that I have found a bug. Torch in quick settings is visible only during editing location of icons.

Seems to be there for me while not editing icons :3

For me is invisible. Maybe other users will confirm that

I have torch, no problem. Been using this ROM since yesterday, looks great especially the xperia battery icon although a charging indicator would be helpful. cm13 theme engine is also working fine.Everything else is working smooth..camera,gps,RIL,Wifi but twice I have systemui stopped notification while playing a game sadly I don't have logs. But except these two times games did not crash.

facebook whatsapp messenger are working on this rom or not plz any one tell

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normally use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices so from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn add-ons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in standby till I decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, I will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing I mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

Flashed without wiping cache or dalvik booted right up, I'll pm ya if I run into any issues so this thread stays on topic, might want to let the op link it in post 1 if he wants also.

You can use gapps. The setup wizard just needs a working connection (WiFi or data ). And on MM ROMs Gapps should be flashed before first boot otherwise they will keep crashing

Very good rom really goes very light and has a perfect design, absolutely perfect for gaming and multitasking, really I hope to begin the updates on rom and where is to fix some of the very few bugs as weak sound during a call
I recommend anyone to try it, definitely going better than anyone else CM12.1 and CM13 ive tried :good::good:

Oh i will check thanks
This is what I did for album FC on my CM Rom. Worked for me. You may give it a try
1. Extract album.apk
2. Now create a folder named SemcAlbum and copy your album.apk to it.
3. From the previously extracted folder copy lib folder and paste it to SemcAlbum
4. Now inside lib rename folder named armeabi-v7a(or something else) to arm
5. Copy entire SemcAlbum to /system/priv-app
6. Reboot
And I am using xperia keyboard from this post. Bit old, but working fine for me
