i updated the device using official RUU 5.0.2 with radio version 1.14.30.0320 but radio stopped working along with baseband and imei unknown problem. i think this was caused due to baseband downgrade. tried several RUUs and twrp backups with clean wipe but no use.
if any one can share htc e8 dual mec dwgl opaj 40000 india region baseband version 2.06.30.0715 img i will be very grateful.
i am hoping that flashing this img will solve the problem. (or any other method to restore phone back to its former glory)

the ics rom won't boot with gingerbread firmware
flash this rom from recovery
http://www.4shared.com/zip/NVqsJkGIba/2084011_stock_rooted_signed-FI.html (GB rom)
before flashing the rom:
format all partitions except sdcard from 4ext
enable smartflash from 4ext(because you are on S-ON)
flash the rom
done
after that use this method for S-OFF

To get sim unlock you need to follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232107.
I don't know how it's handled in your country, but in germany after 2 years you can let the provider remove sim lock for free, maybe you could try that too.
Both method don't work..
In adb shell method ( the command "strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6") in Windows
Pls see attachment, Why T-MOB010 is written above IMEI ? ( last 3-4 lines )
Strangely , my htc got sim unlocked itself.
I put a cdma sim in it. Android start updating & showed no network. Then I put my gsm sim & it started working.
Prior to this, my htc was synced with htc sync on windows.
Thanks to all.

Flashing a firmware update will give me any radio issues?

I have been researching through a lot of threads for a few days and I have found out that I have a very much outdated firmware for my phone. So, through this researching many threads mention that this firmware M8SD_416.401.10_Modified_WWE_Euro.zip could be a possible solution for my problem. the specs of my phone are as follows:

My question here is if I update this firmware will I have any radio, wifi or any issues on my phone?
The reason is that I want to install a custom ROM such as Skydragon or ViperOne Rom based on Lollipop and Sense 7.
Currently I am in Mexico with stock ROM 4.4.2 Kitkat and my carrier is Telcel.
I know I have to be u/l bootloader, be rooted and S-OFF.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rooted Verizon HTC One M8

Hello, I currently have a HTC One M8 and have used sunshine to unlock and s-off, also have used rootking to get the phone rooted and root has been verified with rootchecker. I am new to the whole process of rooting and flashing. I have fastboot setup. I am looking for a good new user friendly rom that is battery efficient. I was looking into getting a venom rom but was told I would need a RUU. Any suggestions on the route I need to go? I am currently on the stock rom and had put the supersu app on my phone but am getting a message that says I need to update my surpersu binaries.

Wrong forum section. You already posted in the M8 device section, which is a better place for this type of question.

Htc one m7 Imei modified when installing RUU. Please help

The phone had a problem closing applications so I installed the software. I have installed the RUU:
PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Globalive_WWE_7.17.1500.8_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_421062_signed.zip
After this has started well and without any error but my surprise is that it has the modified imei. Does not match the one on the label. I understand that should be corrected with the installation again with a stock but I do not know what to install according to your specifications because I do not get another. I would greatly appreciate the help you could give me. Thank you
