Help me to choose Best ROM - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Friends, I have recently rooted my Nexus 5 and willing to experience Custom ROM's. I have flashed MIUI 7 but is full of bugs. My choice for the best themes MIUI provide but it has so many loop holes. Could you people help me out to choose best ROM best in styles and Themes. Thank you.

The most stable ROM that I like is CyanogenMod. Even CM13 is stable. Make sure you get the "Latest Release"... not the "Nightly Release". Encryption works great. Its fast, slimmed down and pretty customizable.

There is no such thing

[Q] Official MIUI or custom MIUI (ie WIUI)?

Hey guys,
I have flashed an ICS ROM 3 days ago, but it doesn't really work that well it was my first custom ROM I flashed in my life
But I decided to try MIUI. So I found this guy called Wajk, and he made this ROM called WIUI. My question to you guys is, can I expect the same (or even better) of a custom MIUI ROM as an official one? And even more important: Will I get the weekly updates?
Maybe some of you have had expierences with custom MIUI ROMs, should I choose the official MIUI ROM or a custom one?
Thanks guys!
P.S. Hope I'm doing this right, first time here on XDA for a long time
You'll get weekly updates if the developer updates his/hers rom every week, and you flash it again every time. But this is unlikely.
I'm myself using a custom MIUI rom, and I love it. Only problems are the built-in screenshot app doesn't work, and the Extended Settings app works neither.
Anyways, it is worth at least trying. Frankly, I think this is the best rom for my phone. All kinds of themes and lockscreens work.

[Q] ROM for Galaxy Nexus VZW

I own a VZW Galaxy Nexus and I am new to the entire ROM/kernel business and so far have only flashed MoDaCo custom ROM (IM776D), AOKP, and LiquidSmooth v 1.35.
I really like Liquid but my main problem is language support (need Hebrew fonts) and problems with Bluetooth. Well, at least these are the only problems I experienced.
I would like a recommendation for a good stable ROM which has the following, by importance:
1. Language support (Hebrew)
2. Smooth, quick UI
3. Customizing ability as in Liquid
4. Improved battery life
Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated and if you have a certain ROM kernel combination that would do the job, please keep in mind that I am an noob.
Thanks

Custom rom based on stock rom

I have a question.
Why we don't have any custom roms based on stock rom in our xiaomi phones, while i was on samsung there were lot of custom rom based on stock rom.
I prefer be on those roms because they provide best stability , battery, and ultimate new rom experience and also stock camera can be used.
I don't know why there are no custom roms based on stock rom, this is not only about mi 4i, its about all xiaomi phones.
Hope someday any dev come with this thankyou.
I'm thoroughly not sure why, but here's my opinion.
What makes many phone (including Samsung) different from Xiaomi's is.. Our stock ROM (MIUI) is (or was) also a custom ROM, with the difference of native support by Xiaomi (for Mi phones).
they provide best stability , battery, and ultimate new rom experience and also stock camera can be used.

While I do agree that stock camera can be used, but "stability", "battery", is subjective. So one's take will be different with others.
And I don't know what do you mean by "Ultimate New ROM experience."
But there are some "Custom" (although I prefer to call it unofficial version) MIUI's from MIUI Polska which you can get here.
Remember, if you don't understand Polish, you can always go to my friend for help!
thankz for your opinion,
but you are not getting my point exactly, when we get any custom rom based on stock rom we get stability like stock.
like custom rom based on CM will have bugs of CM.
and custom rom based on stock rom will not have those bugs.
as our stock rom is already lolipop, when i was on galaxy S2 and S3 i was using miui 5 based on stock rom, and many other rom based on stock rom because on those roms i can use my stock applications also.
I'm sorry if I didn't catch some of your point.
From my experience with Samsung device (my mother's GT-P3100 to be exact -my GT-I8150 didn't get any official ROMs beside stock 2.3.6-), the "Custom ROM" that are based on stock are actually just the same stock (TouchWiz, blah blah), but "de-bloated", "enhanced", "modded" and other different claims.
And, about MIUI5 based on Stock (TouchWiz?)... uuuh... Not sure about this one.
i m talking about threads like this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../asnet-miui-v5-4-6-13-multi-language-t1605655
just look at above thread u will got know wt i am talking about.
and thanks for ur response.
What he means is look at some of the custom oem roms like Viper for HTC Sense and alliance for samsung. These are stock based roms with tons of new features and options.
As to why you don't see the same for miui well that is due to most dev teams that have the knowledge to do it won't touch a Xiaomi device at its present stage. Maybe one day but that day is not this day.
Yup you got my point,
And i m waiting for that day.. 😀😁😊

Well that would be for you to decide and figure out, and if CM13 is running great, why change... if lagging is happening, did you install the correct Gapps?
And regarding Pure Android Experience, well again that is for you to decide, we are not here to push one ROM or another, the best is up to the individual. There are so many variables involved, apps, usage so on...some love the Stock Android, some like the custom that are brought into from Development done by others.
So bottom-line the best custom or stock is on you and you only. Just try them both and see what works for you, thank you and good luck.

which rom do you use

Which rom would you say is the best for oneplus 6 ?
This is really subjective. Only you can know which ROM suits you the best.
A lot of people really like OxygenOS (the native OnePlus OS).
It can be customised and tweaked a lot without replacing it with a custom ROM
... and if you don't know what you're doing trying to load a custom ROM will cause you a lot of headaches.
If you really want to try a custom ROM, try reading threads from ...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/development & https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/oneplus-6--6t-cross-device-development
(make sure you backup your stuff first and read a lot. You need to understand the whole process because it's likely you'll encounter a problem or two if this is your first time installing a custom ROM)
Personally I'm currently trying Paranoid Android Quartz 1.
I installed it a couple of days ago so it's too early for me to give a strong opinion, but so far I like it a lot.
I think quartz and treskmod have been most stable for me while still having great battery life and good features.
