Hey,hello,i qm searching for aod watchfaces. Some themes got nice watchfaces but the overall quality is not satisfying. I have also tried other AOD apps from google play store but i was afraid of the "burn in " effect, cause i didnt know if the aod would move or not.
Can i get other watchfaces in the stock app without root and without crazy themes?
Thanks,Mikey.

I plan on upgrading from my Note 3 to the Developer Note 4. I'm concerned of complaints I've read from Note 4 users that some apps aren't showing up in the Samsung Gear App Market to download due to not being approved for the Note 4, (possibly they require the dev to resubmit for approval with the new device) - is this really happening or am I wrong?
Can any of you Note 4 users please chime in on your experience with the Gear 2 so I can determine whether I want to make the jump or not?
I have a note 4 and gear 2. i can't get flesky messenger in the gear app store but that's a well known thing. Outside of that everything else works fine from what i can tell. I am not big on the gear store apps anyway.
I can confirm this; some apps I'd installed together with my Note 3, are NOT available for install on my Gear 2 in combination with my Note 4!
can any of you post specific apps that are missing for you?
I got a notification for KLWinkel a few days ago that his Multi-Watch app should work (and that's my #1 app right now).
Some other essentials I would like to make sure work:
Wearable Widgets
Smart IR lite
Toggles
Shoplist
Launchgear
LookBehind
Gearam Music ID (shazam-like music search on the gear)
I have a Verizon Note 4 and Neo 2, the only app on that list I have and confirm working is the gear music ID and it works well.

Wearable widgets
Smart IT remote lite
Toggles
Launchgear
Lookbehind
Gearam Music ID
I didn't find an app named Shoplist. Wristlist was there.

Thanks for reporting back - that's very encouraging! I do use the watch when grocery shopping so that's one of my essentials. I tried wristlist, but I don't prefer it without an option to make the background black, I feel it eats up too much battery with the white backgrounds. Shoplist actually does this and has the tickboxes I like.
are there any custom always on displays? I haven't seen any on the play store or Samsung store. could any one make some cool ones
Look for the GalaxyXMod xposed module on the forum, allows custom AOD backgrounds.
EDIT: this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/mod-galaxyxmod-t3410719
I really love the app on the play store known as "Always On AMOLED" by Tomer Rosenfeld (can't post external links). It was built specifically for the S7, and the developer does a great job of updating frequently (beta).
So, other than custom launchers and widgets, what other upgrades and/or cool things have you done with your tablet?
I haven't done much. I have Nova Launcher installed on them so I also installed Nova Google Companion. Other than that, I've also installed Gravity Screen so when the tablet is facing down, the screen shuts off (kinda like a laptop). If you've warmed up to adb commands, I'd also suggest DragonFire1024's guide to activating Google Assistant: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hd8-hd10/general/guide-enable-google-assistant-ok-google-t3740145

I also have Killapps installed on my HD8 which makes it easier to shut down apps that are running in the background. I have the Gboard as the default keyboard on both
Other apps I have on the them (aside from the utility-types) changes a bit because the HD10 is for my dad so he'll use the Wall Street Journal and Investing apps, which my mom won't need on her HD8, but she has a lot of different E-Readers (until she settles on one, finally) and a crossword puzzle app that my dad will never use.
They both have YouTube Vanced (HIGHLY suggested- no YouTube ads and you can listen to videos without having the screen to be on) MX Player, Terrarium TV, Mobdro, News Reader Pro and Google Assistant/ Google App
It's a thing?
Haven't seen any yet...
No mods there's a few AOD on play store that are decent and better for notifications. Once set up correctly
I wish OnePlus would add this. One thing I was really used to from my Pixel.
In the meantime, I'm using the Screensaver clock manually & charging which I kinda like.? Maybe some chef could tweek or mod it...
I'm trying to find an alternative launcher for my watch 4 that i can select as alternative launcher in watch settings. Does it exist? I would like to hide one of messages app ( Samsung messages and Google messages) from launcher but seems impossible...
I don't know, but I really hope they either offer a list mode like my Watch Active 2 had or an alternative comes along. I really despise the new launcher. I use XDrip (for blood glucose readings) on the watch and it has several components that get installed and they all have the same icon, making it impossible to know which is which. Not all icons are really self explanatory either.

Another fellow type 1 and xdrip user here!
I'm really hoping for an alternative launcher as well. One that is similar to wear os 2.0.
But when it comes to your specific problem have you tried just using wearable widgets?
I keep this as the first tile. I still get to have the watch face I want, but it's just a swipe to the right and there's my bg. It works very well.

I do use Wearable Widgets as well. It's also the first tile in my list just in case I want to change my watch face from XDrip. I find that it doesn't update that well or quickly though. I have to swipe to it and then wait for it to update. I should specify that I'm type 2, but bad enough I needed a Dexcom to monitor. It's been SUPER helpful to help control my BG and keep me honest.
