1. Unlock bootloader
2. Install TWRP
3. Backup all partitions except data
3. Format data(format not wipe)
4. Install Oct N + Gapps
5. Reboot.

thanks, this is the original thread labelled as xda devdb i created duplicate posts by mistake as my internet connection is terrible as of now. i have opted for duplicate thread closure to the forum admin

You can flash stock ROM with any recovery you want as stock ROM doesn't have treble. OK!

Treble will only be available when a ROM gets treble supported. My only aim was to provide the latest recovery to flash latest custom roms.

Not that. i use custom roms. Since this is treble supported recovery present custom roms can be installed with this right? Or only rom that come with treble?

Thank you.. I was confused about treble..
I dirty flashed aex oreo over it self but it changed my lockscreen pin can't access my phone and even can't go to recovery please help me tried holding power button and volume up and down button please help

Boot in to twrp go to advance then press on file manager
Data/system/ lockscreen.db delet this file. End reboot.

You don't separate them. You build the recovery into the boot

You cannot "backup". Going back to stock requires flashing stock ROM.
