Hi,
I have a Samsung S6 with SIM lock from the carrier and also their bloatware apps. Can I flash an official firmware from samsung updates without tripping KNOX ?
Thanks !

Depends on the carrier. Usually flashing an incompatible firmware will just fail. Knox will stay untouched. Which carrier is yours?

Hello everyone. I joined Galaxy S6 community today with the phone that I bought from a my who went to Dubai. It's G920F. It currently have 5.0.2 with baseband G920FXXU1AOE3. I'm planning to download stock 5.1.1 rom from Samfirmware and flash it through Odin. I know that It won't trip knox but I wonder if there will be any problems caused by different region roms. I also want to learn If using the device in another region block ota updates? Or I also wonder if flashing another stock rom will block ota updates. Since it's the first android device I plan to use without root, I am a bit cautious about OTA updates.
I also wonder if shutter speed settings came with 5.1.1. I tried Camera FV5 and couldn't find them
I'm thinking to flash Netherlands rom.
Thank you for answering.
Flashing ROMs via odin won't trip knox. You recieve OTA updates anywhere around the world irregardless of ROM as long as its stock and knox not tripped. Here's Dubai ROM:

I Have a G920I which is branded by an international carrier called Claro, Is there a way for me to flash just the non carrier version of the OS thru kies? I don't have root just want it debloated and Ive already disabled apps but don't want claro showing up upon startup also.
If this is possible, will OTA still work?
Hi,
I think it's safe to install a different country 920i firmware using Odin. I used to have Indian firmware on my Brazilian 920i and it still receives OTA without problems, since the device is still stock.
All the best,
~Lord

Hello Guys. The new 7.0 BTU firmware for g930f downgrade 6.0.1 is possible? Knox warranty 0x0?
Yes it possible and it dont trigger knox. But why the hell you wanna downgrade? Nougat is so much better than MM

Thanks for fast reply. Can you try the downgrade? I would like to know before I flash that it works.
You want us to do the dirty work for you? Who are you? Why is your phone and your time more valuable than ours? You have all instructions here on XDA and do it yourself. Its not hard.

I asked only that someone had tried to downgrade. You do not have to do a jerk style comment.
Yes you can downgrade back to Marshmallow using ODIN or SmartSwitch, KNOX 0x0

The Answer is; Yes you can!
But, this can only be done on international Galaxy S7, S7 edge variants, including the American and Canadian version, but except to those device with built in “locked bootlooader” such as the Verizon and AT&T Galaxy S7, S7 edge models or we can say models with Snapdragon Processor.
Devices with unlocked bootloaders can be freely downgrade-able, but those with highly secured bootloader cannot be messed around.
As long as you flash the original firmware with ODIN, you'll not have any problem for unlocked bootloaders.
Download the Firmware from Sammobile or use SamFirm. Flash it through ODIN and you are good to go.:good:
Searched around and couldn't seem to find a clear answer to it.
So I have a XSG dual sim and want to change to BTU but want to keep the ability to sideload Samsung Pay or at least be able to use it when it's live in UK.
Can I or can I not do that? If I can, what exactly should I do with Odin3?
I have updated my KSA g930fd to official XSG Android 7 and both myKnox and Samsung pay stopped working due to system alteration error although the system is official and knox wasn't tripped
Now I've returned it back to Android 6 KSA and they are working fine!

Hi
Just to correct my previous post. I dind't flash the BL & CSC via ODIN in the begining and that was the reason I had trouble with myKnox.
you should flash AP, BL, CSC, and CP and you won't have any issues with Knox or Samsung pay

Sorry! I meant "undo"
Because Once updates are installed we can't reverse it, Am I right?

yes offcourse you can undo
just download stock fw via sammobile.com/firmware
use odin to downgrade
make sure you are not having sprint/att/verizon version of edge
mean you must have unlocked international version of s7 edge and knox must be intact

Its European and Asian version I think, SM-G935FD. Also its in warranty, If I downgrade it using this method, Will it void its warranty?

no stock firmware downgrade with odin flash tool does not void your warranty
