WOW, i'm the first one Downloading

It's been good on my D850. I like that the interactive governor is tuneable, I don't remember seeing that in the past with other roms. I hope battery life will be good with some tuning. Also I like that the annoying notification sound from captive portal login is not present.
:good: :highfive:

I covet your kernel settings ?
Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA-Developers mobile app

USB charging is not working for me. the rest is pretty awesome. have installed all my apps. will let the rom settle in for a few days and update.

Fully charged the phone and went to sleep, the phone went into deep sleep and used only 3% over night Now that's what I'm talking about. Haven't had a phone/rom to deep sleep with such low drain since SultanXDA did a 4.4.4 rom for my old T989.
Oddly the notification for captive portal login came back the following day, too bad, but I'm used to it.
I didn't change much in the interactive governor tunables, more to learn.

f'yeah. giving this a try :good:

Really smooth and responsive! Doesn't want to go into doze though. Even Greenify aggressive mode won't put it into doze...
-edit- flashed a different kernel and I'm now dozing. I think it was just the interactive governor being a little jumpy and not settling down. Switching to conservative helps get into doze quicker.

Maybe some tweaking needed to handle DPI changes. I change screen res to 1080x1920 and DPI to 430. See attached image -- QS rows are off-center a bit.
Also, can we have an option for two QS rows.
Thank you dev

Can some one Please confirm if usb charging is working? It aint working for me :/

Working for me

I haven't been able to recreate the super low 3% overnight battery drain, but battery life has been really good so far. I checked battery charging via PC and it is 0.5A like it supposed to be, would be nice to have the fast charge feature for PC connections. Would be nice to have kernel aduitor swapped out for the 'mod' version available here on xda. Also some tweaks or kernel changes for taming the gpu to save battery life. All in all its been very stable and an excellent DD.

I'm having great battery life and stability too. Excellent DD. Hoping this project continues!

only problem i am facing is battery life i have to charge it at least 2-3 times a day...is there any solution...?? by the way great rom...

Status bar call notification
Is there any way to take "Block Caller" off of the status bar notification when you're getting a call while your phone is unlocked?

Its been up since kk... So yeah it will continue until I can afford the server

Running this rom for two days now and it's super fast and haven't ran into any problems, I am coming from aosp paranoid andriod lollipop rom. Only issues I have is i can't customize notification light colors like my old rom which I liked and I'm not a fan of the border around the dropdown menu..looks tacky. Wifi connection is really good and battery charging and life is out performing my previous rom. Thanks

This rom was compiled by me, Scott.Hart.bti has done the real work!
I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Just in case
Wow this thing is feature packed. Will download and flash once I get my Cloudy setup for a backup. Great to see BEANSTALK ... ITS A MUST HAVE

Never mind lol kit Kat features
app2sd support ?
OH!! Excellent. ???
Wait, those are kitkat features, right? For a second I was "Widget carrousel on lollipop"? Lol
Rom installed and running smoothly.. I am not seeing a lot of the features that were listed in the main page? Are they future features or are they supposed to be in rom already? Not seeing lock screen change features, no breathing sms icon option, no build.prop mod options?
Running very fast and smooth but don't see the features listed above
I'm gonna guess they're not implemented yet.

The thread is based off the kitkat beanstalk.
The op should be updated to reflect the actual rom that is posted. It leads to unnecessary confusion. Is there a way to get battery % showing.
Op please list ACTUAL implemented features please and thank you. I don't see a reason for a 5.0.1 ROM to be listed with 4.4.4 features....but in all sincerity thanks for the build.

I'm pretty sure the OP quotes features for a KitKat build.
Correct. Clearly states on the last few lines of O.P. it is based off KK builds. Not all features are available in Lollipop.
How is everyone's experience so far with this ROM? Any major differences between this and CM? I just want to adjust my nav bar, lol.

Busy day flashing tomorrow...?
Wow man, love this ROM!
Sent from my Nexus 7
Love the Black Material theme. So much customization too. Thanks for the awesome ROM.
To say I'm happy with this ROM would be a massive understatement.
12 hours 30 mins SOT with WiFi on is insane. Mostly that was tapatalk and chrome, g+. I also downloaded a few apps and a ROM. I've never managed this before on KitKat or Lollipop! [emoji2] [emoji41]
Thanks to everyone that has worked on this ROM.
Always hear about this ROM so thought I'd take it for a spin. Interface is really good looking! Similar to another ROM I tried this weekend though, GPS doesn't seem to work for me (with WiFi turned off). I'll keep watching its progress ?
Update: Must be a kernel issue. I installed elemental x kernel, and GPS came back online ?
Thanks for the ROM, works great. Battery life is awesome so far! The only problem I'm having is with Google Play movies. I get the message Playback isn't supported on this device. Is there something I can download to make this work?
Thanks,
Erin

thanks for update, I rarely use my N7 since I got my N6 back in november but it's good to have Validus on both now. Thanks again!
@oadam11 Just popping in to say hi
To stay on topic, I've been running and the previous build for over a week without any issues what so ever. Theme run nicely, although the latest cm commits will apparently make them better still.
Loving it. Keep up the good work!
Good job!
I just heard about Validus today for the first time. I have installed it on my "flo" device, and I'm happy.
Thank you for the great work!
A few minor issues:
1. Tiles sometimes disappear when they are being moved around in Settings->Notification drawer->Select and order tiles
2. Custom icons don't display when selected for Navigation Bar buttons in Settings->The void->Navigation bar->Editor
3. Turning off Settings->Notification drawer->Show brightness slider is ignored. Slider remains, and setting always turns back "on".
Things I especially like:
1. Moving, changing, and adding Navigation Bar buttons. This is the only 5.0.x ROM I have found so far which offers this capability.
2. Changing screen DPI from within Settings, without the need of any special build.props management utility.
Wish list:
1. Allow optional date next to the time in the Status Bar.
2. Allow the color to be selected for Status Bar icons.
3. Move, change, add, remove Power Menu buttons.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
.
I just downloaded the 02/03 version of this ROM. Works well!
The following two issues still remain:
1. Tiles sometimes disappear when they are being moved around in Settings->Notification drawer->Select and order tiles
2. Turning off Settings->Notification drawer->Show brightness slider is ignored. Slider remains, and setting always turns back "on".
Also, I see that the navigation bar buttons are now managed differently than before. In Settings->Buttons->Navigation bar->Buttons and layout, we no longer can assign custom actions to navigation bar buttons. I liked the fact that I could do that in the 01/27 ROM. Will we be able to assign custom actions to navigation bar buttons in a future release?
Anyway, thanks for all the work.
.
Hey guys. New build is up in the OP. Enjoy!
i just sorta randomly picked this for my n713 - and I am highly impressed!! The battery life has been awesome and it hasn't even had time to "settle". I had never heard of this rom before just trying it out, couldn't be happier! Thanks for your work!

Got same message restarting from last GooglePlay update. Theme in use has disabled, then I suppose is a theme related issue. And on a one more restart, message wasn't more.

Welcome to AxxionPop! While it's been a tough few months developing, we finally managed to release! The two main people working on this are @siracuervo and @ThatKawaiiGuy (who are both school students), they've both worked their butts off on this, busy with school and their own lives, so we appreciate any sort of positive feedback on the rom. Since they are students and too young to work at any jobs, any sort of donation is appreciated and you can donate through PayPal to [email protected].
For those who are late to this Axxion party, they released around May last year in Kitkat with the title AxxionKat. They were still beginners in Android development, but this time they're releasing with a few original features such as legacy menu navbar customizations, power menu positions and floating window ported from kitkat with some enhancements and fixes. Very nice work from @siracuervo.

Just AICP for the Moto G and AxxionPop for the Flo...
Very nice ROM, running great so far! Only issue I've noticed is some elements of layers themes not being applied (card style settings not applied and icons in settings not changing color).
Speedy and stable though, will be following this one ?

Thanks! And after testing more themes, card style settings are actually being applied. Colors being applied varies with the theme though. All settings icons are themed with elyxium dark or blackish. But only a couple are with florid or prodigy rro.
Excellent rom! Thanks for bringing it to Flo!
Running this on hammerhead. Very happy to see it for flo! Will flash when I get a chance.
Nice rom thanks! Noticed that layers isn't quite working as it should - I tend to stick with the Pastelz theme and the Navbar icons don't change into what they should, they just become grey blobs as opposed to coloured. Can see above that this will hopefully be fixed in the next release which is always good. Ta.
Great Rom
Great rom, no issues at all in the first 24 hrs of use. Very quick and without glitches. Haven't used layers so no comment there. Thanks!
Edit: Going on 5 days now, still running smooth, battery life has has increased, using layers without any issues. One of the best roms I've used with flo .
Congratulations on this ROM. Powerful NavBar, OTG and Layers support. Great for tablets like Flo. Just missing OTA and more tiles in Quicksettings. Also recent panel stopped working. Other than that, very very good.
Can build 5.1.1 r8 deb versione aosp? I can test
ROM has been running for a few hours now. Very nice! Although I don't seem to be able to flash a custom kernel without things going completely wonky. Anyone else?
I tried flashing AOSP EX, but since this ROM seems to use a CM-based kernel, only the CM version of EX worked. Go figure...

Vindicator was the first kernel I tried after a full wipe, including system. Also tried ElementalX. Both resulted in ridiculous lag and a barely responsive screen after boot. Maybe another clean flash is in order.

Yeah, perhaps that's the way to go. Personally, I have had no issues with it. You sure you're flashing the right version? (Cm based).

Right version of Axxion or Vindicator? I'm sure it's the right ROM. I'll double check the kernel. Thought it hadn't been updated in a while, though.

I mean the right version of vindicator (cm based kernel, dated 31/5).
If you flash the aosp version you WILL have horrendous lag...

I think so.
All ROM here are unified : you can flash all of them on your phone
This ROM rocks! I reverted to Lollipop after half year of CM13 due to touch lag. I grew bored of CM12.1 and I decided to flash this, because I always liked the Carbon ROM project. This build is working fine, with little or no errors and it works buttery smooth, fast, with minimal slowdown. The only complaint is battery life but I guess it's the phone's battery accustoming to the firmware as I have it for less than a day. It's a shame that you abandoned it, as it's an excellent CM12.1 and CM13 alternative with both speed and customizations. Games run much faster on Carbon than on Stock, CM12.1 and CM13, and critical functions work perfectly, no wonder it's already labeled stable.
Oh, and I want to report an unusual bug (doesn't fit in the standard tracker format).
The flash script might have an issue, because at the end of the update the last two lines indicated:
Code:
unmount of /system failed: no such volume
Code:
Success!
XT1072, at the time running cm13.0-20160420-nightly with TWRP 3.0.2-1
I freaked out, thinking that the faulty script ****ed up my system and I was left out with a damaged partition table but then I installed GApps normally with their script writing into /system, I browsed /system's folders with TWRP's file manager and the phone booted into Carbon after reboot. I think your script unmounts /system improperly or it makes a bad unmount call somehow, I don't know recovery scripting and you should fix it (abandoned I know but please fix this. not a major issue but scary).

I didn't make the flash script, it is created automatically when we build a ROM.
I usually don't pay attention to error when flashing as long as it is successful. So will 99% of the end users...
However I don't know why you have this error...
I won't fix it because it is not really annoying and building Carbon takes around 8 to 9 hours on my old computer which I also use in my daily life.
But nothing prevents you from trying to fix it by yourself
