WiFi keeps on dropping on update from CM12 - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Was running on the CM 12.1 and no issues with wifi. Then I decided to update and went with the RR per below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-ressurrection-remix-m-t3270147
Did a clean install and loaded gapps and everything seemed ok but then had issues with Wifi dropping constantly. I tried google and changed channel on router to channel one and also tried app called Wifi Analyser but still the same issue.
Saw a fix for cm 12 in the below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/fix-wifi-connectivity-issues-drops-t3070045
Not sure if same fix applies to 13 as it seems to be an issue with the CM 13 and not the ROM itself..??
Had to go back to CM12.1 and no wifi issues pity as was happy enough but no wifi is a showstopper. Posted in the RR thread but maybe this might be a CM13 issue so wondering if anyone knows any fixes for it as I may try again
Thanks

I have the same issue, need to turn off bluetooth, try it it may work for you also

CarbonRom 4.4.4 Nightly [FIX] GPS issues on XT925

Hi All,
On a Telstra XT925 I have been on SlimRom 4.3 for some while now and for last 2 months or so I have been routinely backing this up with CWM and trying the various new 4.4.x builds but have *always* found the Location settings did not work at all. I also went as far as trying all manner of other apps to either help the GPS get a lock but in all cases it refused to recognize that there was a GPS at all or was not turned on, and this would not have been too bad if the WiFi location based side was working as a stop gap, but this also stubbornly refused to work so I kept reverting back to 4.3.
I'm not sure if this is just me, but this was the case for DHacker, CM11, SlimKat 4.4.2 + 4.4.3, RomFactory, that is until I tried Carbon Rom KK Nightly from 20-June-2014 from the moto_msm 8960 Build:
https://carbonrom.org/downloads/?device=moto_msm8960&type=nightly
This is 4.4.4 and I'm happy that I did persevere because the GPS *IS* working on this. The Wifi location sensing is still not working which is something of a shame, but now I no longer consider this a deal breaker and can live with it. If anyone has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or fix the Wifi Location issues I'm open to suggestions.
Cheers,
DaveC
and the reason you did not post this in the Carbon-Thread is....?

[A] Solution to COS 12/CM 12 WiFi instability.

So for some like myself, COS 12 wifi has been behaving sporadically. I would surf the web for 5 min only to have my internet connection crawl to a stop.
Turn out that COS 12 and CM 12 have an issue where the dhcpcd sends incorrect values to the DHCP servers.
The disconnect is not apparent on all devices! It depends on your router's settings.
So, with special thanks to Tony Stüker, I have made a flashable zip of CM 11s dhcpcd file.
If you experience the aforementioned issue, BACKUP your system and then flash the file below.
Download (Enjoy!)
PS. Flash at your own risk.
I definitely support the CM11 05Q modem. Fixed my issues with WiFi delayed messages a s calls. Also so far has fixed notifications for messages not pushing though whether on WiFi or not.
Thank you mkhcb, I confirm this works well. Now I just need for someone to fix this f......ing bluetooth. Mine keeps crashing every 15 seconds since 4.4.4.
Thanks a lot! This helped me to solve my connection problem with 6D!

Anytime guys.
Also, I am sure we can get the Bluetooth fix if others report bluetooth problems.
Any issues with cm 12.1 with the fix?

[Q] Connectivity issues on Nexus 5

Hi,
I have serious connectivity issues with my Nexus 5.
Most of the time I am only picking up 2G signal, sometimes the connection drops compeltely. However, I had a very unstable 3G/H/LTE connection for a few minutes sometimes in the last days.
This started after changing the battery and upgrading from Cyanogenmod 12 to 12.1. Unfortunately I did both changes at the same time, so I am not sure what caused this problem.
The following things I could rule out/test:
- Another phone (Nexus 4) picks up H+ with my sim
- My phone doesn't pick up 3G/H/LTE with another (working) sim
- I have checked the connections of the both cables running alongside the battery, I also checked the cables itself.
- I fiddled with the apn settings, also I never touched them before and everything worked fine.
- I have updated the radio image.
The one thing I couldn't try is flashing an older cyanogenmod 12, because I have no backup and couldn't find one online.
Does any of you have any ideas what I can do?
I would be really thankful for any kind of help.
Who is your carrier :/
I probably should have added that in the first place.
My carrier is T-Mobile in germany.
I have the same problem. Also i'm tryed flash Android 5.0 and Android M, in stock i have Android 5.1.1. Who khow how to fix this ?
I have no solution yet. The next thing I want to try is to roll back to Cyanogenmod 12, but I guess I am going to build it myself because it seems to have vanished from the internet.
I do occasionally get LTE, but it is very unstable and doesn't work most of the time.

Wifi gets disconnected/stops working

Hello all,
I have faced issues with the Wifi on my OPO since the day I got it. I researched a lot about it and found out that it's a problem faced my a lot of OPO users. Just to summarize the problem: The Wifi connects but after a few minutes (in sleep and sometimes even when the phone is in use) the data transmission stops. The Wifi icon shows that it is connected but you can't access the internet.
I had this problem on the 11s and when I read 12s had solved the problem I moved to 12s. But the problem still persists. Here are the things I have already done:
Wifi in sleep - Always
Restored factory settings
Installed app WifiKeepAlive
Installed 12s (15th Aug build)
I have seen a lot of posts but haven't seen a resolution in them. Appreciate if someone could help out.
I used to have a similair problem on my old One until it broke due to water damage. My new one doesn't have this however.
Perhaps a kernel issue? Try flashing a different one and see if the problems persist.

Wifi issue CM13 Sultan (20151204)

@Sultanxda I have a issue with my OnePlus One on Sultan's CM13 which only seems to happen when I'm upstairs.
I runned CM12.1 Sultan before CM13 and I always had WiFi connection upstairs.
Now, sometimes it seems like the WiFi driver stops working since I cant turn WiFi on and I cant turn it off either.
It wont show any WiFi networks aswell, and a reboot fixes it.
The reason why I'm not posting this on Sultan's thread is because I cant post a reaction there since this is a new account.
And I didnt see anybody else mentioning it.
So does anybody else also have this problem and maybe even a fix?
And if you see this Sultanxda, could you fix it?
Ask me if you really need a logcat.
