EFS Backup Required - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Xda Team!
I have A Galaxy s6 G920F and i need a EFS backup !
Thank You all !

Are you saying you need to make an EFS backup, or you want someone else's backup?
I'd advise against anyone giving you their backup, as it contains their IMEI.

Do you want an EFS backup or you ask how to make one? If you want an EFS backup it is impossible. The EFS partition is unique for every device. But if you want to make a backup your best bet is with TWRP.

Can you boot to system? I mean can you get to the OS. If so, according to a friend of mine a Xposed module called "IMEI Changer Pro" works.

[Q] The phone has no IMEI

Hello guys,
I installed CM9 on my i9003 and it worked fine. But after some time, my brother installed a GB rom. From that point, the phone is not showing IMEI and I was not able to use it. efs was not backed up. I tried flashing with XXKPQ GB, expecting that the IMEI will restore but it is useless.
Is there any way to restore the IMEI. Please help me.

If you IMEI not backuped I think you totaly lost it. Only one think you can do: try to ask somebody give you him EFS backup and put it to you phone and you're get another IMEI.
Warring: look out for backup are maked not at the same contry as you located!
Also remember: this things (changing IMEI) are not legal.

But if I true undestend: we can restore to phone backup from another phone? And this things just change IMEI.
check dhiru1602 thread about efs backup and restore, you will find how to get fake imei (0049XXXXXXXXXXX) this is better than nothing.
Some users reported that they couldn't give the phone another phone's imei.

There should be a backup of the EFS on your external sd card, this backup is always made when flashing CM. Check your external and internal sd for a folder called backup, efs, or something like that.
/sdcard/backup/efs here is where your efs backup should be, if you are lucky you will find it there.

thanks for the help.
I don't have a backup of efs on my mem card. I should look for someone's efs backup.

I heard that restoring someone IMEI backup is risky (and illegal) so be careful.
Having fake IMEI si like having a real IMEI so check dhiru1602 thread to know how to get fake IMEI on your phone.

[Q] No Radio Signal on Nexus 5 32 gb after restoring from TWRP back up from 16gb N5

I did a TWRP nandroid backup on my nexus 5 16gb model. I then transferred it to my 32gb Nexus 5 model and tried restoring from TWRP. Now my phone has no signal. Help please?
I think it might have something to do with the parition of the IMEI? Any help would be great thanks!!!
Did the nandroid include the efs partition? If it did you're screwed
Unless he manually checked efs he should be okay.

U can back up efs just dont restore efs from one device to another in the radio thread there are many ppl with this problem.
Why are people messing with EFS backup to begin with?
Seems like the need to backup EFS is causing more dumbass errors than anything these days....
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Well its really user error. If you don't know what something is, learn about it before messing something up.
Would a factory image restoration fix a device with messed up efs partition?
I never had efs issues with my galaxy nexus, but I'd like to know the answer.

Well dees troy said in the twrp tread that you have to change the serial code of the backup to restore on a deferent device so I don't really feel sorry for ppl doing this I would never restore from another device that's just asking for trouble. @_jordan_ no there's no way to fix it
Yeah no kidding. Its a user inflicted problem.

Help! Wifi and sim card not working after messing around with custom roms

Hello!
Somehow I managed to break my wifi and sim card functionality on my oneplus 7 pro EU
I ve tried some custom roms like PixelExperience and crDroid and today I wanted to go back to stock Oxygen OS
I've used MSM tool and more than 5 versions of stock firmware and the "unbricking" process works fine, but I can't get the wifi and sim card to work
Can anyone help me with this? Maybe it's a deeper reflashing for modem or smth..
Quick update, I've tried to restore from a TWRP backup made with PixelExperience12, no success
I have tried reflashing with MSM tool the original rom EU, Global and China version, different versions of android - 9, 10, 11 - I give up
Since nobody seems to reply here, the only solution I've found is to make a service request on oneplus official website
If someone have the same problem and is searching for a solution, I will keep you updated

I don't know much about NVRAM, can it be fixed somehow or once I messed it up there is no chance to repair it?
Looks like your imei and WiFi Mac adress got corrupted and erased and you can't do anything by yourself if you don't have a backup because these two things are unique to each device. You should flash stock ROM and contact one plus about your imei
