My opo buttons not working. I'm in multi rom candysix. I think not due to rom or multirom. I just put in pant pocket for 2-3 hrs , and when take out to use, notices that capacitive buttons not working. I changed rom, uninstall multirom, flash stock rom, done a factory reset , but nothing work. Anybody have any idea?

Hi,
my Samsung Galaxy 3 took a ride in my wash machine a few weeks ago. I took the thing apart, laid it on the heater and dryed it up real nice.
Unfortunatley i did not realize at that point that i broke the ribbon for the Voulme buttons.
Now, many weeks later, i want to install this and that and keep getting funny error messages. I then decided to flash a different ROM ( was using the CM10) and wanted to revert back to an older Kyrillos. After the first reboot (from the flash) i come into the Menu where i could WIPE the Partition. Thats where i realized my Volume buttons were not working. I could only reboot the system in that menu and every rom that i tried just hung.
After trying a few different roms, i finally got an older CM9 to run. After i got into the system settings i found out that i have 0 internal memory left. So, i guess i do need a wipe.
I thought i would try doing that direct from the Samsung Drive HP, but the rom i have does not have a samsung account settings option (just googlemail and exchange).
I tried a few different keypad combinations to wipe, but they didnt work.
My question: can i do a wipe with a different software ( i have a sd card and could install on that) or is it possible to do a wipe in the terminal emulator?

May be you could install any ROM and then latest g3 mod kernel
I think that has touch screen navigation in cwm
But seriously, you will need to get the buttons fixed in future

I am having issues when unlocking my phone
Whenever i click the unlock key it will unlock my phone, however randomly it will shut the screen off, turn it on again, shut it off etc. WIthout even touching the button this is happeneing. It will also occasionally bring up the power menu (cm10) for the phone. I dont think it is a hardware thing because my button feels fine and isnt broken. However i am wondering if it is cm10, i recently changed from stock cm10 to liquidsmooth and it still does it. Any advice would be great.
Did u data wipe/factory reset before u flashed the new ROM?

Iam having a strange problem with all sense roms viper 2.2, trickdroid, etc. and a can't fix it and i really need some help!
the sound of the phone stops working, i have the original viper kernel, never changed, the sound does not work every where!!! the mp3 player, games, notification, and the keyboard tones when dialing a number... and this time it only took about 2h after a new clean install of the rom..... ? ? ? (iam lost)
i don'd now why it appends, but when it does, i have do restore a back up that works or re install the rom.
this as happened before, and i made a clean install i have tried wipe the phone app, wipe the caches, fix permissions,.....
please does some one have a clue?

what can i do? i always used venom rom, and all ok, now since my phone came form htc support, because of the home button problem (they changed the screen, battery and the chassis, and they fixed)
now i cant use the venom i have done 3 clean install and nothing(( ..... iam going to try the TrickDroid_9.1.0 and see, if it happens again iam screed

i notice that if i clean caches and install the bulletproof kernel it stays ok, for about 5m, then the sound goes way... ?!? there must be something that is interfering with the sound services?
just found out in other foruns, that if you press volume all down, and them volume up, the sound starts working again, but some minutes later, the same no sound

just removed all apps , the problem precisest.... goig to try trickdroid and see what appends, does anyone have a clue!?!?!??!

i tried the stock kernel and the bulletproff, removed all apps, tried 4 clean viperone s installs with multiples recovery's, tried a factory reset from the bootloader with the original recovery, tried with the trickdoid. and nothing works!!

no sound, after 5m of fresh install ? tried all roms, recovery, etc

i have tried aosp roms and sense roms, i have tried different recovery's, and kernels, removed all apps, with all i have the problem...
a minutes after a clean install the sound suddenly stops working, especially if go to the dialer
i have to install a new rom or a restore, but +/- 5m after fresh install, the problem starts again
when i relock the booloader, with a twrp backup of the original rom untouched it shows a "security warning error" ? and wallways reboots to the bootloade
don't now what else to do ?

guys i need your help, i already faced this problem for a very long time.
My phone turn off by itself and when i turn on after the cyanogen logo it only takes 5 seconds and it turns off again, sometimes it didnt turn off and i can use it for about 1 day and while i am using my phone it turns off by itself and when i open it turns off again and again and it happened for about 15 times before i can use my phone (not turning off) . in stock rom when i use camera flash my phone turns off (sometimes not but most of the time turns off) i already did all hoping to solved the issue, wipe cache, dalvik cache, re flash the rom, format data/system when installing a rom etc..... i already tried all version of our device recovery, CWM and TWRP but still i'm facing the same issue. i already flash all the roms in our device from stock to custom, from ginger bread to kitkat but still the problem was there. i already bring my phone into the repair shop but they dont know what is the problem they said all the parts of the phone was good no need to replace anything. torch app works, only when i take picture in stock rom and use camera flash after pressing the capture button the phone turns off.i have 2 batteries but both of them didnt solve the issue. i really need your help:crying::crying::crying:
Can power controller? Had a similar case from a friend, as a result no longer included.
Repair was equivalent to the cost of the device.

I say that not as. It was cheaper to buy a new phone than to repair. He just gave me his for parts.
Try more serious service center. Otherwise you can end badly.

Try to make a wipe cache and data and reinstall the Rom

if i am right the problem you have is the POWER button
sometimes that button can be stuck and it makes sense for you because you say it reboots after cm logo
if when it reboots it vibrates as well, definitely the power button is the problem
and when it works means you unstuck it
just go to a service center and ask them to replace the button, its pretty cheap

it dont reboot, it just turns off and no it dont vibrate when phone is off. i already bring it to ervice center but they said power button is not the problem. i also thought that is the the problem but they said not.
I was going to try out a new ROM(one i came from and to where both AOSP) that was featured on the S3 ROMs site, but as soon as it booted I missed the beauty that is Kit Kat (the new one was 4.3) so I restored back to the previous ROM. Howeverr, once it booted, my digitizer stopped registering touch, but if i pressed on the bottom half of the screen it would come back for 5 minutes or so, then it dropped to 3 minutes, then 2.. ect. Even after reinstalling from scratch, multiple factory resets, flashing a new rom, trying a new kernel, doing a full odin reset(fixed it for about 30 minutes), and reconnecting the main screen cable inside the phone(multiple times also), nothing worked. Now he digitizer isn't working at all, but the rest of the phone is.(including capacitive buttons. Any ideas?
Summary
restored to previous rom
On boot digitizer stopped working but could be restored by pressing on the bottom of the phone temporarily, but degraded to not working at all
What I tried
