I would really appreciate any help as I'm new to the android scene and have just moved from ios.
Thanks in advance.

this thread will give you the info but it requires a hardware service box.

Is it possible to root my S7 G930F Exynos?

Hi guys, just got my S7 G930F Exynos with Marshmallow 6.0.1 without losing warranty and tripping knox to 0x1? Cause I really need root but don't want to lose my warranty. Thank you for answers.
Nope, if you want root you have to sacrifice KNOX 0x0
All the info is here if you read a few threads

[Completed] root G920I S6 without tripping knox 6.0.1

Samsung S6
Build id MMB29K.G920IDVU3EPGG
Model # SM-G920I
Version 6.0.1
Have searched through pingpong/kingroot (only 5.x), chainfire (trips knox) and copious websites/tutorials but seem to find that build number is not supported with any root options.
What options do I have to root the above samsung S6 without tripping knox?
Thks
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi and we to xda-assist,
actually your possibilities are very limited as you running a unsupported firmware, the exploits that ping-pong uses are closed on your firmware and I doubt that downgrading is a alternative because once you have the unsupported firmware version running on your device even the bootloader will be upgraded and you can't downgrade without relatively great risk of seriously damaging the phone, if can be done at all.
So next is probably to decide how important root privileges are to you and if you're willing to sacrifice your warranty for that..
I would nonetheless recommend you to ask in this forum again, may be someone with the same device has a progressive idea and can help you further.

By the way, it's always a good idea to research the device of interest regarding root & custom roms before you buy it..
Good luck

US Cellular S7 questions

Hi all,
I have a S7 (flat) that I bought from US Cellular. I know how to root Samsung devices via adb and odin. My question is there a stable working recovery and a safe (non knox tripping or any other warranty voiding) way to root?
It seems there is not way to avoid Knox getting triggered, If warranty so important, wait till the warranty expires, and the root, or wait till a new root comes along with guaranties that will not trigger knox

Stock experience in S8+

Hi All .. Appreciate the XDA community as XDA has always been the place for anything android for me..
I have been using Samsung S8+ and i love the phone. Recently i have been observing a lot of lag and i feel having stock android on this hardware would be wonderful.
Is there any stock android rom available with ODIN support which wouldnt trip the knox ..
PS. My S8+ is a Exynos variant SM-G955F model and i use it with Nova
Any suggestions are appreciated.
It is not possible to root and not trip Knox....
