Hi
Since the B820 Update on my L04 my Google Widgets (calendar and notes) are not updating. The Google calendar doesn't even show the events and the notes app only shows changes when I change its size. Other calendar widgets work without problems (and every other widget)
Did any Google background service get messed up when I updated? I prefer not to reset the phone :/
Thanks in advance,
Julian

Hi!
Having problems with the launcherpro Calendar widget.
Regardless of what I'm doing, it still shows ALL calendars. I just want it to show 2 or 3. I've tried hiding the calendars in the Calendar application, but they still show in the widget.
Help..?
Is there anyway (without rooting) to change the native calendar app on this device from S Planner to Google Calendar? I can add the damn widget to my home screen but it is a very disappointing misdirection to S-Planner when you click on it.
Your post intrigues me. I can find neither a Google Calendar app, nor a Google Calendar widget. Please share your source.

The native calendar widget appears, in facade at the very least to look like the Google calendar widget.
Click to collapse
you can try Android 4.1 Jellybean Calendar from the market... its widget (and the app) is stock android as far as i can tell and will take you to the stock calendar app on touching.
the reason i swapped s planner with this app is because of the way s planner widget shows full day events. i liked full day events to take up only a thin bar instead of the s planner way of showing full details... this app does that for you too.
As of recently there is now an Official Google calendar app.
By default, at least on my note, the widgets are all from S-planner in anycase so definitely it would open S-planner.
What you could do is install Google calendar set it as default in settings and disable S-planner altogether in the app settings. Although i dont see a widget for calendar on my tab
Hi,
I have a very strange problem with an S6: The built-in weather widget was accidentally deleted from the home screen and when I tried to restore it, it was nowhere to find in the widget list! All other widgets are there (clocks, alarm, bloatware) but no weather (yes, I scrolled to the last page). On a different phone running the same Marshmallow version (though an S7), it's right there in the widget list, simply called "weather".
The built-in weather app ("weather forecast") is still there and can be launched from the app menu, so it's not deleted or something (it can't be deleted anyway, since it's a system app), it's just not showing the widget in the widget list. I tried to reset touchwiz (clear data) and it restored the factory home screen - containing the weather widget! Still it doesn't show up in the widget list .. Also that's a bad solution because the factory home screen uses the 4-tile weather widget including a clock, but I want the 2-tile version, which has to be selected from the widget list. What else can I try to restore this widget except a complete factory reset (which I really want to avoid)?
Hi guys. My Google Now 4x4 widget has been acting strange past couple of months. The emblems/logos/icons of my sports teams and weather don't show up anymore. The only fix i found was to unistall and disable all updates of google app. Anyone has a solution other than that. The problem was on marshmallow after the update of google app as well as it is on nougat
I've a strange problem here.
I've always used Neat Calendar widget for an agenda on my main screen. Had this since my Galaxy S2 days!
However, on the Pixel 5, it does not show my contacts birthday calendar. Tried unsetting and resetting the calendars to display etc. no joy. All other calendars show/hide as expected.
I then installed Event Flow Calendar widget, and this has exactly the same problem.
The Google widget works ok however.
Looked back on my Huawei Mate P20, and the birthdays still show just fine on that.
Thinking this may be an android 11 problem for these apps.
Its a shame if it is, as I dont think Neat Calendar is developed any more.
Just wondering if anyone else having a similar issue with these (or indeed other) 3rd party calendar agenda types of widget.
Cheers
