[Completed] Playlist Folders - XDA Assist

I have a simple question that I may just need a different app. But, I am using poweramp to play flac playlists and the issue is that I cant find a way or another app to make playlist folders. Eg I have several 8 playlist of audiobooks from one author. Instead of seeing all 8 in addition to all the other playlists I have, I would like to create a playlist folder with the authors name. within this folder will be the other playlists. I tried searching but there does not seem to be an app to do this. Itunes does this easily and syncs it to any idevice as well.

[Q]Music PlayerPro Playlist Import

Hey guys.
Before id start.
Id like to say that i did do a forum search, and the results were either non, or to many.
So have had no luck with it.
Same for using google, came with things that were not even related to the android app.
Anyway, as far as my question goes.
Would anyone know how i can import playlists to Music PlayerPro?
Using the Galaxy S stock player, i could easily just sync with WMP and have my playlists imported to a /playlist/ folder on my SD Card.
But with this app, im abit clueless.
And manually making playlists on my phone on a 16gb SD card thats full of MP3's is abit...yeah..
Any help/awnsers would be appreciated.
I'm having this issue too... the player seems to be inconsistent with recognizing playlists... I sync with WMP and sometimes it just doesn't stick despite the .pla files being in the proper spot...
If you format your directories the same on your computer and phone you can simply drag and drop the playlist file. If they arent the same, just open your playlist file with notepad++ then find and replace all instances of "c:\music" (or wherever your music is) with "\Storage Card\Music"

Music Organisation

Is there a way to transfer music from my PC/iTunes without losing all of the information such as album artwork and artist name? Just, when I transfer an album over at the moment, it puts some songs as individual albums instead of with the album their with. For example, I transferred over Some Nights by Fun (great album) and, whilst most of the tracks were fine, Carry On was listed under a separate album. Anyway to avoid this?
Any ideas?
Music Folder Player
Google Play: Music Folder Player
"If you regularly play music on your mobile Android device, then Music Folder Player may come in handy.
It can be annoying when playing ,music without tags for example of your ripped CD’s without downloading the ID3 tag. How about when you’ve added music in a ‘new music folder in your memory card without knowing exactly all the artists/albums? Well, the dev of the app, XDA forum member cyberniko says this is where his app can help.
Music Folder Player is available as a free version in the Market, and the dev is looking for feedback on tablets."

My friend ,
I'll try to explain what i've done with my mp3 library
It's all about the tag stored in the mp3 file itself
There's more than a version of this tag
One file can contain more than one version
That's make the conflict
I'm using a wonderful free software on my pc called mp3tag
There's nothing you can't do in the tag
Give it a try

Maybe you could give Mediamonkey a try instead of itunes... It also allows syncing with Note.

Ps. Not affiliated with this vendor, just sick of the bloated itunes and found a nice alternative.

I use this This is the greatest program I've used! I love iTunes for some reason, and this app syncs everything perfectly for me. I'd highly recommend it. It doesn't sync play count or stars, but that's OK. Playlists are all that I need and a fast easy interface.

ISO music player app

I am looking for a music player app. Nothing fancy. I have 1 request that it MUST do.
I have 2 folders on my phone: "Music" and "Audiobooks"
I want the music app to play stuff ONLY found in the "Music" folder. So far every app I have tried cannot be regulated to 1 main folder (in "Music" I have many sub-folders). So when I push shuffle I get audiobooks in there as well. I do not want that.
This will be installed on an unroofed galaxy 5S with up to date software.
I would recommend MortPlayer Music and MortPlayer Audiobook!
I use it myself for many years and I'm satisfied.
Oh common man...you can do that with any music player.....just rename the folder "audiobooks" to ".audiobooks".......ie just put a dot before the folder name..... And all music players will stop scanning files from that folder..... You may need to clear media database first......for that simplest method is settings-apps-all apps-com.android.providers.media-clear data.......then reboot and wait for a while so that all the stuff in our gallery and music player comes back...this time nothing will show up from audiobooks folder.
GoneMAD Music Player. You can select which folders are to be scanned and thus which audio files are shown in the music library.
I believe poweramp has this feature, too.
Honestly, if you want to go deep with it, I would use this modded Sony Walkman app. It is awesome and most, if not all features work depending on device and Android version.
Check it out HERE

[Completed] How to prevent duplicate listings in playlists on S3

I need help refreshing playlists on my SG3 (SGH—747) Android 4.4.2.
I create three podcast playlists on my PC daily, e.g.
Playlist.m3u the contents of which are typically: extSdCard\Music\Podcasts\The John Batchelor Show\JBS_150707A.mp3.
I FTP the playlists and the MP3s to my S3 on a daily basis.
The issue I am trying to resolve is that some of the podcasts listed in the playlists are duplicated. I have an app that deletes duplicates in playlists.
I have tried deleting the cache; deleting the data; and force stopping the media player in the system apps utility, before and after I ftp the updated playlist. Sometimes it works, and sometime it doesn’t.
There must be a location on my phone that stores the playlists (other than in my “\memory card\Playlists\” folder where I keep all of my playlists, so that the image of a deleted playlist is retained, and then combined with the new playlist?
I cannot find any app that would simply update (all) the playlists while disregarding the way the playlist looked yesterday.
Where can I go to find any possible answer? Or, How can I better phrase the question to find an answer?
Thanks for your help.

Any recommendations for Music apps?

Hello everyone!
I am looking for a Music app for my Galaxy S6. I have been researching for a very long time now, and still haven't found the solution, so I thought I'd try getting help from XDA.
-I want to be able add music to a folder on my PC and have that folder wirelessly synchronized with my phone's music folder for offline listening.
-I want to have a desktop version of the app that I can use to manage playlists on my PC and have the playlists wirelessly synchronized with my phone too.
I have tried Google Play Music but it seems to have trouble when there are subfolders or when a certain file is corrupted. It ends up not uploading all my music.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

I looked into it, but I found that it didn't have a desktop version that I could use to manage my playlists on PC, and I can't wirelessly synchronize either

sync not available
Hey, half a year ago, I asked myself the same question and I finally found the perfect Player for my and your needs: Google play music. There is also a program for your Desktop which syncs automatically whenever u add music to specific folders. The new Songs are shown on recently added in the app and u can add these Songs to playlists and listen to them offline. If u add Songs on another device to your playlists, they will be downloaded automatically on every device.
Have fun!
Ps: The playlists can be saved on your sd card on your phone. Whenever you delete a playlist on your sd card, it will stillstill be available online to be downloaded. Simple as that, it's like Spotify for your own library
