Hello guys.. I would be grateful if any of you could help me with your thoughts regarding this matter...
For security reasons I prefer flashing stock recovery and locking down the boot loader after I settle on a custom rom/kernel combo. Been doing this for a while and I dont mind building my phone up from the scratch when I change ROM.
With CM 10.1 stable coming up.. I think I'll finally switch to 4.2 in a few weeks time. I read on the forums that the file system change in 4.2 doesn't play nice with 4.1 recoveries and ends up creating duplicate folders all over the place. Now... I'll surely use latest CWM or TWRP to flash CM 10.1 but later... when I flash the stock recovery (v3e, i think the latest for our device) just to lock down my device- is there any possibility that my system would get messed up? As the latest stock recovery for Nexus S was released with 4.1.2 it isn't supposed to be compatible with 4.2.2 roms technically.
..enlighten me please! with my little knowledge, i'm unable to work it out in my head
Hi, need help! I have an argom T9110 with armv7 processor and jelly bean 4.1.2. I could root it then I am SU, but rom installer can´t find kitkat 4.4 rom flash recovery for this phone, do you know any similar that fits Argom T9110? I could try using sd
Hi Developers,
I'm using Hardware V1 a110q. i have changed my rom to AOSP KK 4.4.2 from CM11 rom, i followed installation steps.., while rebooting the screen stuck in canvas logo not the boot animation.. i also tried reflashing the rom but there is no luck., then i flashed system partition increase patch, and i reflashed the rom... then it boots successfully...i think it needs system partition.. But in rom thread, mentioned system partiton increase not required...,
My questions is,
1. How to install AOSP kk 4.4.2 rom without changing system partition??
2.Is the new besik_13's kernal supported for CM11, if it supported how to port to the CM11...?
We all like to flash new custom roms in our Lenovo A6000.
Some time new custom rom release on Lolipop base which is very attractive and we might wanna check it out.
Unfortunately the new custom rom might be buggy and we may be forced to revert back to kitkat or whatever os you were before.
Analysing the present custom os' available for lenovo a6000, many rom authors says that the phone should be currently running on kitkat/lolipop before instaling that particular OS.
I found a work around to avoid flashing of 1 GB stock rom (which is time consuming) to get into kitkat/lolipop build. You just need to flash a very small sized zip file which contain the core system files that are essential .Steps
From Kitkat to Lolipop
Download Kitkat named file attached below
Copy it to your sdcard
Boot into recovery
Flash the copied file
flash whatever lolipop custom rom you like
Voila all done and reboot

Thank You Rahul S Nair for Your Efforts and Hard Work,
Unfortunately It's not working for Me on A6000,
i was in CM 11 4.4.4 (Unofficial),
I just flashed your Kitkat based system by you.zip via TWRP and it's succesfully installed,
Then i flashed Xenon HD from ( http://www.techolaty.com/34356/lenovo-a6000-plus-xenon-hd-custom-rom-32-bit.html ) which is based on Lollipop 5.1, > it showed installation completed.
and i rebooted my device.
But Stucked on Lenovo Logo.
Waited for more than 5 - 6 Minutes, Done 3-4 Times, But no more Changes_Any remedy?
But after this i can install Kitkat based ROM, installed CM 11 again without any changes,
