Looks clean. Was looking for an ftp app for android. The swype window works well. Only thing is the too colorful and detailed icons. But like the app. Nothing wrong with the name and donation button.

Feature Request
Can you setup folder sync? There's several ftp programs out but none of them do folder sync, I've had to purchase a separate program for that. It would be nice to setup my own.
Problem is dropbox is so easy to use, but I would like a dropbox clone similar to owncloud, but owncloud lacks so much.

since i m developer of this app i will promote my app in such a way that most number of people will download and use it and report bugs for further development....
i m new and alone to development and made the code available....

By this statement you just lost one of your downloading people (me), and if it wasn't for that it's all the exclamation marks and capslock in the OP.
Still I want to give you feedback for your app: It might have potential (even if it's far less than you think it has), but transparency was cool in 1998, and the same is true for the icons. Make it Holo White/Dark/both.

Ads....gross....no thanx. It looks and sounds pretty nice but i HATE ads...especially since your ad free version will only be available in your roms...come on

Hey OP, your over-enthusiastic promotion will cost you users. Try not promoting the app, and it will promote for itself. Plus the design sucks. We need a minimalist layout. Try looking on dribbble for cool layouts. And if you promise to be as promising as your OP promises, well you can be promised some users. The thing is there are so many file managers like es and cm's that aren't even considered by me as an additional download. In order to counter tgem, you really need some innovatively-revolutionising ideas, like for example a built-in fridge or microwave. You get the point.

The thing that gets me is(other then the questionable ui) what does this bring us that root explorer does not already do? Sure it's not free but it is worth every penny and it does:
multiple tabs, Google Drive, Box, Dropbox and network (SMB) support, SQLite database viewer, Text Editor, create and extract zip or tar/gzip files, extract rar archives, multi-select, execute scripts, search, remount, permissions, bookmarks, send files (via email, bluetooth etc), image thumbnails, APK binary XML viewer, change file owner/group, create symbolic link, "Open With" facility, MD5, create shortcuts.
I have used it since my first android phone and have never found myself in a situation that i wanted to do something with files and it would not do it.

4. I think if there would be app backup so it would be waste of time and space to make it without backup app data function so yes app + app data backup. If it is ofcourse possible. If not I will be still using TB for this Just always looking for one app which will replace 2 other apps.
6. I actually now dont need playlist creator as I use XenoAmp player now. But I remember when I was using walkman app from sony there wasnt creating playlists from folder. So I was using old astro file manager to browse folders and there was create playlist function. It was one and only one app which was creating plalists working with Walkman. Now I cant find such a function in any of file managers. So this certain small function was really helpful. But trust have no idea how was it working. I just knew that it is only one working with Walkman.
7. About bluetooth I meant if there would be option to choose where files from bt have to be saved. Like for download. But now I realized that it is too much work with this as it will be needed new bt module in app, and all the others. Not worth of so much work.

it looks like a must have feature of supporting cloud storage, and my team is working on, dropbox would be the first one since our users waited for really long time. Sure we will support more cloud storage, and we may need feature poll to schedule which one should be the first.
some other user have already the backup to app+data. and I have added it to our requested feature list, for schedule in future.
create play list is looks like a good idea to music manager, I will added it to our requested features list.

Well, we accepted suggestions from users on Google Play Store, and make the feature to manage epub books.
Normally, while you tap epub book, a popup window will notify you to choose proper method to proceed.
Tomi File Manager is not an epub reader, so we call some apps which can help users read epub book, like Google Play Books.
You can upload selected epub book to Play Books, and read it there. Or, you can select self preferred epub reader, like Kindle, to proceed.
Pls do believe in that we must do our best to make the best way to manage your own files, as well as advanced features to you the experienced/advanced users.

Pls do believe in that we must do our best to make the best way to manage your own files, as well as advanced features to you the experienced/advanced users.

Requested feature
First off: thanks for a very usable and stable app!
Now for my request: I have a slight dislike for the very blue-ish start screen that Tomi uses. I would like the option to skip this screen all together and have Tomi open the Favorites screen or another configurable folder as the start point of the app instead.
To reason I dislike the start screen is that I use seperate programs to manage/interact with/view all my other/specific content (Ie. QuickPic for Images/Videos etc.). When I start Tomi I want to manage files and folders and don't need an overview of my files/folders/disk space usage. So the blue start/overview screen results in me having to do an extra click/slide, before I get to the file/folders I want. Giving me the option to skip this screen would result in a click/slide less everytime I start/use the app and thus a more streamlined experience (at least from my perspective .

Got your idea.
some friends also suggested me this feature, since they are so familiar with directory manager, like the one in ES and File expert.
As to us, the Tomi FM, our concept is helping users to manage their own file in quick and simple taps. So we bring files like music/pics/videos/docs directly to users with clear category. To view/interact files by folders, we consider it is not a convenient way.
Well, I think we could do some changes/adjustment in product side, to satisfy needs like you.
Many thanks for your suggestion, and hope you can share me more valuable ideas to make Tomi FM in your own favor.

The following two features take top position, so we decide to make them alive in our next release.

My team and I are working on major update to Tomi File Manager, so the feature poll will be paused for a while, and restart after release the major update.
The features of supporting Dropbox and SMB would be released in next week, and feature of "Classify apps as Downloaded and Pre-installed" has been added to our plan to the major update. So there would only 2 features left for feature poll
Any good suggestions and feature request are welcomed.

It would be great when you can implement a FTP Server for this app to have access via computer to the files on the phone...

So, what you really need is that manage your files on the phone via computer, no matter if it were FTP connection or something else, am I right?

Very useful, thank you for this great notepad++

This is a nice editor for developers. If you're planning on adding new features then I'd personally love to see integration with Google Drive and FTP, so you can edit remote files. Looks great so far though. I really like the dark theme with syntax highlighting. Very reminiscent of how I have Visual Studio looking.

Thanks for using! I will consider to integrate cloud and FTP in future.
If you are using Android 4.4+ and you have Google Drive application installed on your device, currently you can open navigation drawer, and click "Open Document" menu item, you can use Document Provider to open files from Google Drive.

That's great! Thanks for pointing that out. I was using the file menu in the toolbar so didn't see that.

Looks nice so far, but is there a way to use a custom (monospace) font?

Your app can use Google Drive on my tablet which is running 4.2.2 Jellybean. What would be nice is if you could allow access to Microsoft's OneDrive as well (don't know if that's something you need to program or not).

I want to edit AndroidManifest.xml with this... And QuickEdit opened it like this:
I thought it would properly view the XML format like XML Editor... Or am I doing something wrong?

Not when I tried it. File system is read-only. Doesn't try and invoke Superuser/SuperSU

Looks like you didn't decompile/decompress the APK correctly.

No root support (although you should be able to open files through your file manager, just not write to them). I've opened large text files (relatively, ~5MB) without problems.

Currently custom font is not supported. I will consider this feature in new releases. Thanks for using.

If the XML file is correct, then maybe the encoding is wrong, could you try to switch to UTF-8 encoding and try again?

I switched it to UTF-8, and still symbols and stuff... I'll try @GermainZ 's suggestion first... Maybe user's problem...

I noticed that the root feature is a necessary for this application, especially for users from xda forum I will add it soon.
There is no hard-coded limit for the file size from the application. When you open very large files, it may not success and toast out of memory error. It will depends on the memory limit of your device which assigned to applications.

What is the difference between pro and free version?
