So after more or less randomly trying different things, and fearing that I might only have made matters worse, I hope someone can help:
I have got a Huawei Honor 6 H60-L04 (bootloader unlocked and rooted) and was, until two days ago, running KitKat with the B114 build and cwm recovery. Since Marshmallow has officially benn available for the Honor 6 for a while now, I decided to finally update.
I flashed stock recovery and updated to Marshmallow build B820 via update.app on sdcard. Booting worked fine, however I was unrooted (ofc) so I decided to flash SuperSU (2.76 [latest stable]).
So I flashed twrp 3.0.2.0. and so far all good. Still no problems booting. Then I flashed SuperSU (according to twrp suddenly) and rebooted, just to find myself stuck on bootscreen. That is not the first one you get in bootloop but the animated honor logo. Well ****.
Since then I tried many things, wiped multiple times (data is all either unimportant or backupped), flashed almost any stock ROM I could get my hands on. In twrp I get this Error:
Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file". >"Error installing zip file". "Failed"
Somewhere on the way I got
error! Func NO : 9 (FUNC_BOOT_KERNEL) Error NO : 2
while booting, that's gone though.
I'm at the point now where I can install B820 via update.app on sdcard, see the installation progress succeed to 100%, reboot, and again, find myself stuck on animated honor logo.
I honestly have no idea what I can do, I hope someone here does. I'll happily provide any further information you might need.

i thought, i might just do a separate topic, as it gets overseen easily in other threads...
What i did:
had b140 working fine. Wanted to Update to b312 Lollipop, worked well. Then, i had some problems with Google Play Services and such. Wanted to downgrade.
First, flashed stock recovery, worked fine.
Next, Transfer Package b300: No Problem
After that, b137 as KK Rom: Updates to 90% then doesn't move.
What i already tried:
- b127, b137, b141, b312 all won't either start update or get stuck at 90%. All tried with and without previous Transfer Package.
- boot and recovery .img from Stock 4.4 and 5.1 to no avail.
- Unpacked b137 and flashed boot, system, just and recovery. No boot, no downgrade
- flashed twrp 4.4 and 5.1 both 2.6 and 2.7. One did work, throws message about not being able to mount /emmc.
- tried flashing the one custom rom EMUI based for L09, script runs perfectly, before reboot: "No Rom Installed". Won't boot
- tried CM11: Won't flash properly.
I'm pretty much out of options now. I'll take anything workable. KK or LP or what ever, as long as i'm able to recover that phone. Any ideas guys?
OMG, got it working. After two days of flashing anything i found, o went back as far as i could.
1. Bootloader, flashed boot and recovery from 5.1
2. Transition Package for LT09 fro here :Huawei Rollback LT09 (Had to boot 3 Button method with SD-Card not Inserted, then after huawei logo push sd-card in)
3. b120SP03 fro here: Huawei b120SP03 (again, three button method with sd-card not inserted, then after huawei Logo push sd-card in)
This was the first firmware that booted for me. Now i need to setup and see if i can get OTA...
I can't tell you how happy am
Excellent well done.
Hopefully this helps someone else too.

I've been trying to root my Honor 6 Plus PE-TL10. I've unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. Till there, everything works fine, but as soon as I install SuperSU, my phone won't boot up anymore. It passes the bootloader, but gets stuck at the animation. I've tried different SuperSU versions, clearing the cache and dalvik chache after rooting, and I've even wiped the data partition to see if it would help, but it didn't. I've flashed the most recent firmware version available, namely Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
I got the stock firmware from this site, and I used this tutorial to root my device.
I know how to get out of the bootloop, namely by rebooting to download mode and installing the stock ROM, which I already have on my SD card. I'm looking for a way to root my phone without getting stuck at boot. Does anyone know how I can successfully root my device?
Update:
I've tried the 2.67 and 2.65 versions of SuperSU as well. Unfortunately, they gave the same result. The device gets stuck at the very end of the boot cycle, as it does reach the point where it can transfer data with my computer. I've tried using the Honor 6 Multi Tool, but the program doesn't support the Honor 6 Plus on EMUI 4.0. When I select EMUI 4.0, the program returns to it's main menu without installing anything.
Update:
I've heard that Android 6 doesn't support system rooting, and that systemless rooting should be used instead. I'm now looking for a way to force-install SuperSU as systemless. In my installation logs, it always said that it used system rooting.
use the honor 6 multi tool to root and fix any bootloops its easier, its somewhere on this forum i cant remember where im on supersu 2.67 any higher and it bootloops for me
I've tried that just now, but everytime I select my EMUI version, the program goes back to it's main menu. The first time I started the tool, it gave an error message saying that some file could not be found. Now, it gets stuck at updating.
I've tried selecting EMUI 3.0 instead. It did install the recovery, but my phone restarts every time I try to boot to it.
Until now, I've laways tried the most recent version of SuperSU. I'll try version 2.67. I've also heard of a new superuser package, PHH's Superuser. Do you know if that one works with the Honor 6 Plus?
I've managed to find an answer on my own. Apparently, I needed to install SuperSU as systemless. By default, it installed as system, so I used this tutorial to force-install it as systemless: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/root-systemless-rooting-supersu-2-74-2-t3405772
sorry i didnt get notified when you replied to me. glad you fixed it
what happened with you?
and how did you let your device work again?
did lose all of your data?
Hi All,
I have been searching and trying many different things to unbrick my Honor 6 (H60-L02V100R001CHNC00B316)
I have read all the posts here relating to bricked Honor 6's and none of the suggestions that I've tried have worked or are for my model.
Basically I had a perfectly working EMUI 5.1 stock install (unlocked, rooted) and wanted to try the stock EMUI 4 update.
I backed up my phone with TWPR and then unrooted and installed the stock update.
This was working fine, however I wasn't completely happy with it so I decided to go back to what I had.
I should have just flashed my backup, but I thought I needed to flash this 'rollback' file (H60-L02-L12_EMUI4.0_2_EMUI3.1.zip from https://mega.nz/#F!uopFUBJa!jp6hkjmftAKjQ8LrriwOTA!C4ZCVB5T) because it was there, but now my phone wont boot.
I can do all of these things:
Boot fastboot
flash system,cust,boot
Unbrick with MultiTool
Boot recovery
Flash custom recovery
Restore twrp backup
I cannot:
Boot into the system (the phone is stuck at the splash screen before the animated boot logo, no change after an hour)
Flash stock update via 3-button (freezes at 5% or gives error)
Charge properly, battery always low even after charging for hours
I'm presuming that something in that rollback file has overwritten something crucial and no stock updates are fixing it.
I'm considering using DC Phoenix but don't want to pay unless it's guaranteed to work.
Can any one make any suggestions as to what I can do?
Any help is appreciated.
Fixed you issue?
Issue is not fixed sorry, I gave up on it, but I still have the phone to try again if there is a solution.
Hi senior Devs. I hope you can help with this. I'll start off by saying that sometines, with simple things, I can be a bit noobish so to speak. So I have a couple of silly instinctive questions first before I explain.
1 - if I have no boot partition, will the phone still boot up and just hang on that "your phone is unlocked and can't be trusted" message
2 - if boot partition is still there, where in twrp can I see it and flash the necessary boot.img?
I know you guys are busy so I'll show as much mercy as possible by making a long story short. I'll explain what I did in point form.
-Phone - 64gb variant, build L29C1856B200
-I tried to rebrand with SRK tool to L29C432. OEM change was successfully and phone rebooted automatically.
-Change robuild.display.id was successfull. In about phone-build number was showing C900B200. After that phone was supposed to reboot and automatically install update from as card.
-Rebooted the phone and went into bootloop.
-Booted into twrp and flashed L29C432B560, the update zip and the hw mumbo jumbo zip. Both failed with sparse and writing errors.
-Someone suggested flashing system images to phone which made sense sort of, so I flashed boot.img to boot partition ( which I now believe was the wrong thing to do ) and flashed recovery and system images to system.
-Nothing worked, still had bootloop.
-Then I thought I needed to wipe, format, etc and reflash c432b560 zip files. Did that and this time I had same bootloop but no twrp. Only Huawei recovery and rescue mode only, hence my earlier post in q/a which I recently renamed as the title was wrong.
-for the last 4 days, I had no fastboot. Until last night. Don't know how or why but I've got fastboot now so I tried rayglobe unbrick.
-Flashed custom.img, recovery.img, boot.img and system.img from L29C432B560 successfully, much to my surprise. I took video because was expecting lots of errors. Not one error. Everything was written and flashed according to rayglobe.
-Still nothing.
-At 6am ( still havent slept yet ) Went back to SRK tool and reflashed twrp 3.0.2, prompt asked me if I wanted to over write, yes, flashed and rebooted into twrp. Relief of sorts.
-In twrp if I click on restore, it shows backup file for C900B200. Just like it did before.
I really really appreciate any senior developer who takes time to read this and I simply ask for instructions for what to do next. Knowing my luck it probably isn't as complicated as it seems.
With a lot of help from danwalkert, my mate 8 lives again. Flashed c432b330 emui 4.1 stock via 3 button method.
you can not restore a Backup from Nougat to MM.This can not boot into System.
You must flash the B560 again and after flashing must use the Rollback UPDATE.APP to go to MM.
After Rollback flash B192/B180 or B211 via dload Method.
Flash twrp, root or what you want
