Torrent Client with remote support on Android TV - General Questions and Answers

I owned an Android TV which is W800C and wanted to have torrent download to HDD plugs in USB port.
I tested few times and everything are working as expected except it didn't support remote control & access like bitorrent on PC.
Specificly, I want to access torrent client from anywhere (web interface etc...) to my torrent client runs on Android TV. Are there any ways to do this?

DLNA Media Server on Android and WM

Ok, so you might now be able to do it quite yet, but a team of developers is working hard to get a final product out (maybe September!) which will allow you to turn your Android or WM phone into a DLNA Media Server.
If you're not familiar with DLNA, the standard allows you to stream media content to other compatible electronic devices over wifi. The PS3 can do this with your video, music, and pictures from your PC.
Check out the link. There's a video that shows it working on a WM device, but the developers say it's working on Android already. can't wait for it to be released!

Does the Samsung Omnia DLNA server work on other devices?
Hi! I own an Omnia and Samsung nicely provided us with a DLNA server out of the box. A user at Modaco (Sector) has kindly pulled it out:
Connected Home - http://www.mediafire.com/?mzqzembzd0j
Not sure if it will work on other devices, but it works well on the Omnia!
it does not work on HD2
Check this Android DLNA Server
Check iMediaShare Android DLNA Server - works like a charm
It comes from Omnia Lite....

Remote Desktop or Control between 2 Android devices?

I simply want to control my T-800 tablet from my 6P phone. Mostly I just want to control songs and volume. I can’t find anything that works.
There is a TeamViewer Host that runs on the Tablet but none of their own TeamViewer clients can not connect and I have not been able to get them to help me.
There also seems to be a VNC Host for Android but it needs a rooted device just to try it out.
Such a simple thing on the desktop, is there nothing that just works for Android devices?
Bump.

Android TV - Torrent Client and Remote Client

Hi, is there any torrent app which I can use as a Torrent Client on my Android TV box and some remote client on my android phone to set/send torrents to the TV box directly ? Thanks for any advice.

Controlling T-Mobile TVision HUB v2 from Linux laptop

I just purchased the above device planning to use it to replace my Raspberry Pi Zero W in my media system. I have been controlling the pi via SSH from my laptop and have an sftp share to it for file transfers from my laptop. I mostly made use of vlc on the pi this way, which worked quite well.
Obviously I will usually be using the remote with the device when I want to select and view video content. But when I am working with music and internet radio it is more convenient to do so from my laptop where I have an actual keyboard.
Obviously the TVision environment differs from the Raspbian running on the pi, so I doubt that I can take the same approach with it. I am working now to take advantage of the fact that it is a Chromecast device, which allows me to manage internet radio from my laptop via stream2chromecast. What I still need is a way to load media onto the device from my laptop, preferably via a share of some sort, and to be able to initiate or change playback there from the laptop.
I have installed vlc on the device, but from what I can tell there is no support in this version for using one of its remote control interfaces included. Of course this is the android version of vlc, so even if I can install and use an SSH connection to the device I don't know how to interact with it from the terminal window.
Has anyone worked with this device and found a way to do what I want to with it? Has anyone taken a similar approach with another Google TV device that should work here?
Dave
