Hi all im new here.
I recently roote my s6 using catch fire root and twrp recovery.
I think i went drastically wrong somewhere as my 4g is not working properly. I have since factory reset my phone and flashed a stock firmware from samobile but the problem still exists.
On my last 5 speed tests using okala i was getting 0.2 to 0.3 mbps download and not much more upload. I have checked with other people and they are getting upwards of 20mbps on the same network.
After i reset and reflashed the fireware the problem seemed to have gone away but now its back.
I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue
Thanks

Hello,
I recently flashed the uckj2 modem with red cwm but was dissatisfied with my phone dropping to 3g signals when it was idle. i didn't make a backup of my original baseband file (unless a cwm backup counts) so when i decided to flash back to the ucke3 modem, i downloaded it from the modem file in the dev forum. my problem is that the network time keeps setting itself to 7 hours ahead of pacific time--the auto update on/off trick works for a few minutes but it goes back after that. also, the data dropping to 3g problem has persisted.
flashing to uckj1 fixes the time problem but the not the 3g problem. reflashing the ucke3 modem doesn't work either. does anyone have other suggestions?
thanks from a n00b
From what I understand, numerous people have been having the same problem with the e3 modem. If you read through the modem forum, I believe some people have toggled the auto update of time on and off NUMEROUS times in a row and it fixed the problem but was temporary. That being said, I don't have a solution, just wanted to let u know you're not alone... I haven't skimmed through that forum recently, but if you do, u might find something new that helps. Sorry I couldn't help more...
Hi everyone,
I started having problems with data connectivity after I downgraded and rooted my TB. I succesfully rooted my thunderbolt using the revolucionary method (I had to downgrade to be able to use this method) after that my i was not able to run at 4G speed as usual and it would suddenly lose conection just by looking at it . Or if i was lucky it would drop to 3G or get stuck at 1X. On top of that i started getting annoying OTA updates which i could not install because i was rooted and give error. So i did my homework and found out that the solution to the OTA was to switch to a custom rom. I flashed to "Liquid Gingerbread V3.0 (Version: Liquid.mecha.20111007.150023)" and the OTA stopped, i flushed a new radio MR4 (this it what it says on about phone> phone info> baseband 1.39.0030627r, &?u2.11?) but that did not solve the data problem. I like this rom, but it is very frustrating not having a reliable high speed internet. What can I do ? Did i do some wrong or flashed wrong Radio? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I was running Carbon 1.7 nightly on my VZW GS3, there was a slight issue with the ROM randomly rebooting, one of the devs(?) posted a link on G+ with a fix. An update firmware (modem/rpm/tz) from ARM should fix it, just flash and you should be good to go. I flashed it after reading several other people saying it helped and things were running smooth on their devices. I noticed that my connection was a little spotty and sometime my phone got stuck trying to turn on WiFi. I flashed my rom back to 1.7 Stable in case it was a fluke with the nightly I was on, WiFi is fixed, but I've noticed the past couple days that my 4G/LTE signal and general data speeds aren't what they used to be. I was next to my manager today at work, he had 3 bars and I was flickering between 0-1 on 4G.
Is there a fix for this? how to I got back to my old firmware? or is there a better one?
Thank you

if im following correctly, you can just flash a modem/rpm.
go back to waht you had previously

I don't know what/which to flash, or where to get it (trusted source/ correct modem/rpm). I'm really new at this, so I have no idea what I'm doing, when it comes to fixing things, though I seem to be good at breaking them.
go to the root wiki vzw s3 development section and check the stickies. there's a thread with all the radios and rpms

Hi guys,
Tried to flash OxygenOS 1.03 through twrp 2.8.7 after getting some annoying problems with OPO on the latest CM11s.
Done many flashes before so didn't really expect much problems. Then OPO couldn't boot up at all with black screen. I followed the instruction here to unbricked with factory tool to clash an old edition of ColorOS and I thought that was the end of it. Flash OxygenOS again, bricked again.
Then I recovered and flashed COS 12.1. Didn't really want to make the jump but I had too. I immediately noticed I am unable to connect to 4G. Thinking that the OS 1.03 from OP didn't contain any modem update and thus the hard brick, I flashed 1.03 again and worked. Again no 4G or any cellular connection. I went out side and finally got a very weak 4G connection (I usually have full bar around my home). Really desperate, I flashed back to official CM12s, and flashed the correct radio for it. Same thing.
It has been a week now. I could get some connection if force it to 3G but still very spotty. It is hard to use. I tried different modems, even one from ColorOS because I am in China and I got the phone in US.
Any tips on solving this?
I fixed it by reflash raido of xnph52q found here. The zip contains more than the radio firmware.

I flashed it before but it didn't work. The only difference is I used TWRP 2.8.6. I remember reading somewhere online that 2.8.7 has issue with OPO.
I will changed it to resolved and save it as reference for others
I have attempted to root my phone, and it has succeeded the last time. I have installed Busybox, Xposed, and verified root works.
Problem is my signal in the status bar only shows 4G, and never LTE, which I have gotten before. I'm also getting H+, and H, as well as 3G, which I never got before. When I had LTE it was a significantly faster than any of the others (H+, H, 3G, E+).
The I softbricked my phone the first time because I used the wrong Xposed framework, so then I reset to factory. However the factory image I downloaded may have been different? I'm not sure, as it appears to be the latest stock firmware, but somehow isn't. Actually, now that I look at it, it appears it isn't a T-Mobile firmware I flashed at all...I have all the T-Mobile bloatware installed, but there's no WiFi calling, that's my first red flag.
I downloaded the firmware from Sammobile, and I'm 100% sure I used the G935T firmware. If you know of a better place to download firmware, or an official site that'd be great. (This is the name of the ZIP I flashed (well, I flashed just the AP in the ZIP: G935TUVU3APG1_G935TTMB3APG1_TMB.zip)
Also, the Kernel Toolkit CPU options do not stick at all, every time I close and reopen the app they are reset back to default.
Anyone have any idea on how to fix these? Thanks.
EDIT: Going back to stock firmware using Kies 3.
Does your baseband match your build number in about phone? I had mismatched the two and got 4G instead of LTE.
im wondering if you ever got this issue fixed i actually have the exact issue ??????
