Hi XDA
Recently I've decided to try and upgrade my phones rom because I feel I'm lagging behind in the current developments.
I have a stock jellybean 4.2.2 with kernel 3.4.5 and chipset mtk6582.
I was wondering if there were tutorials to explain if there's a possibility of installing custom roms, given my specs. So far I've found it to be impossible from my Googled research.

So, I'm trying to find out if there is a custom or official rom for this phone gsmarena.com/alcatel_one_touch_idol-5230.php
I know that kitkat should run on this thing since it passes all the minimum requirements. I Mostly want this because I cant play pokemon go on the stock 4.1.1 jelly bean that it shipped with.

Hi, I stupidly hard bricked my s766c, aka galaxy stardust while trying to install a custom rom. It won't get into recovery mode. I have been looking everywhere for a stock rom but can't find one. At this point I don't care if it's stock or custom as long as it works. PLEASE HELP ME, I'm actually desperate.

My phone still runs on version 4.1.2 since there is no android version update given by HTC.
I want to update it to a higher version of Kitkat or Marshmallow(preferably).
Is it possible?
If so, please provide a link to a proper custom rom with instructions.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find any proper thread.
Please respond ASAP.

I have the device symphony ZVI(MT6592) which is now android 4.4.2
I cant find any custom rom made for the device but I found a lot of custom roms on mtkroms
But I am confused about porting!
Flashing roms is easy but porting seems confusing!
My device is rooted and I added philz recovery
I just need some help in porting
