What is Mashup Player?
Mashup is a music player and does the same what rest of the music players in the market do. It has something unique and that is the capability of mashing the songs. So, Mashup plays songs and mashes rest of the songs automatically on the basis of the current song.
Basically its is a kinda of music player, but actually it does more than that.
Mashup uses an algorithm (called MASM algo) which is purely written by me. This algorithm determines the current playing song and the next song in your playlist. What it does is, it mashes the next song with the current song when current song is going to finish or user choose to play next track.
There is another feature called "Auto-Mashup". When you turn on auto-mashup mode, it shows the current track in full-screen. In this mode, you are not allowed to either play/pause the current track or change to next track from the app screen. Auto-mashup automatically changes your track based on MASM algorithm. If you still want to switch to next track in auto-mashup mode, you can do the same from notification area.
This new app comes with a beautiful refreshed UI. You can easily create playlists and you can play them when you want. These playlists are universal. So you can use these playlists in your other music player apps as well.

Fans of custom ROMs may already know that there’s a rewritten version of the standard Android music app coming to CyanogenMod 9. Well, the wait’s over, and you can download an alpha version of “Apollo” now.
Click here for the APK file – you don’t even have to be rooted, just install it via the standard non-Market method. Unfortunately, you still need an ICS device to use it. Source : Android Central

Apollo takes quite a lot of inspiration from Google Music, though there’s currently no way to actually access your music stored in the cloud. The interface has a lot in common with Google’s own player, though the color scheme is an off white.
Theme support is planned for the project. At present there’s not a whole lot that Apollo can do that even older versions of the default music player can’t, with the notable exception of a built-in equalizer.
One of the more glaring omissions is the lack of a landscape mode, a big disappointment to anyone who listens to music while their phone is in a car dock. Even so, it should be a solid alternative when it’s finished – lockscreen controls are already enabled, I will suggest you to give it a try if you’re looking for something a little different in your music player.
I hope that still the issues get sorted out soon.
There are already many things that need to change and the more I use it, the longer the list becomes.
Nice alternative to the stock music player, it's "recently added" tracks view is a nice feature when you're adding tons of music a day ^_^
I can't get it to work via AVRCP and the bluetooth in my car, but that may be a ROM limitation because no other app will work either >_>
Why don't they support Android 2.3 like Google play music :/

My bad just saw it on the site after I posted this comment already.
Really excited about the app finally some real super app for music: D
I used it for a couple months before it was rebranded Apollo, the dev never updated it, and it was buggy as hell. Now they took away the holo blue theme? Probably so they can release it as a paid add-on. FAIL. There are half a dozen better music apps than this.
Thanks for your sharing..

...has been removed from the Play Store, and I suspect it may be to do with copyright violation. Either way, I'll close this thread. PM me to discuss re-opening it if & when you have some working download links.
IMPORTANT: If songs are buffering but not playing for you, go to settings, "Songs Not Playing Fix," and select "Off" or, if that does not work, "On [V2]."
NOTE: I have nothing to do with the app "Dood's Music Streamer", the developer mysticdeath, KillEmAllx, or Grooveshark.com.
This is a themed version of mysticdetah's app which can be found here: http://dms.mysticdeath.com/. This theme is based on a theme by KillEmAllX which can be found here.

I have used Dood's Music Streamer for a while and, while I enjoyed using Grooveshark's great service, I was not pleased with the look of the app. I decided to change that, and this is the result. Let me know what you think.

Working well!
So great to have this back. Paid for the original app back in the day and it's great to see that the development continues. For anyone having problems playing tracks: go to settings -> songs not playing fix -> Off. V1 and V2 both do not work for me at all on three different devices. You can turn on the "Prebuffer next song" option and that will work after turning off the songs not playing fix.
App has been updated to the latest version of Dood's Music Streamer, which means expandable notifications and bugfixes.

Hi,
is there any way of moving the offline cache directory to my memory card?
I have an Xperia Z1 and wouldn't mind putting the offline DLs on my memory card.
Any help would be appreciated.

BuMP is a handy music player in a floating bubble, we've created it with one idea in mind - to replace all widgets with powerful yet lightweight app that will be useful.
This time you don't need to switch from apps, games to change current track/artist etc. Click the bubble, stop your music, shuffle it or search through your library.
Main features of beta:
- Light and fast
- Supports local music and Spotify (for Spotify Premium only, sorry - limitation of API)
- Search your library or look for new music in Spotify
- Material design (with animations)
- Made by people with love, the same guys that brought you n7player
Stuff that might come:
- Support for other players
- Support for different streaming services
- Better playlist support
- And more
Important
This stuff is in beta stage and it means it might be unstable sometimes.
Grab BuMP, it's free
BuMP on Google Play
Last words
We are really counting on your feedback. This app went quite a long way from being small remote control concept to an actual player. I might post some of early designs of it if you're interested.

Sometimes you need to wait few minutes after joining beta tests, no idea why. Had this issue myself.
Maybe that's why it wasn't working too then...link to join beta testing also wasn't working.

You need to join G+ community first, then beta testing and as last step download the app from the store.
I have added link to APK.
Settings in BuMP are finally here! As well as filtering results.
Although settings will certainly switch their place (current location is -temporary-), they should be pretty useful and will be extended in future - it's only tip of an iceberg of what's to come.
Apart from that, you are able now to filter your search results by track/album/artist/playlist and browsing your own music should be way easier now.
If you are still not familar with BuMP, join our beta testing on Google+:
https://plus.google.com/communities/108246633713157193650
BuMP went live! Beta is now open for everyone and also there were many important changes with latest build.
For example - notifications on track change, smooth animations while fast-forwarding, walkthroughs and a lot of bugfixes, current song indicator, proper playlist/artist/album covers, optimizations, shuffle all, Spotify playback fixes and proper data reading... and probably more things that I forgot about.
So this is dead ?
Please.. Can an updated version of Bump player be made.. I've been using this player for years but can't use it anymore since i got a phone with Andriod 10 version.

Hi guys.
This application is a simple music player with basic features. What are those features :
music playing
playlists
ID3 tags edition
equalizer
image downloading from last.fm
light and dark themes
It's still in beta and I want to make it stable before trying to implement new features.
Where to download the app ?
You can either get it from Google Play
Or you can grab the latest release from my GitHub : https://github.com/andryr/Harmony-Music-Player/releases :good:
The source code is available here : https://github.com/andryr/Harmony-Music-Player
As you can see, contributing to the project is quite difficult by now since the code is not well commented and comments and commit messages are in french. I will try to fix this as soon as I can.

Why Harmony is asking for this permission?
Giving the app this permission is required only if you want the player to pause when you receive a phone call.
(In fact, it should have displayed a dialog which explains why this is needed, but there is a bug (see this ) )
Best music player!

I would wish to have a autostop feature.
This means that the musics stops after one hour ( or any other time ) without doing anything by me.

Could you please add an option to sort by album artist instead of just artist

Let me give you some example :
The Buddha bar album series is compiled by Claude Challe, and each CD album is a compilation of songs made by individual unknown artists. Here Claude Challe is the «album artist», while these single artists are the «artist».
Similarly, with the last Jean-Michel Jarre album, Jean-Michel Jarre is the «album artist» while all the people participating to his CD are the «artists»
Only very few music apps on the play store offer to sort songs/albums by «album artists» (e.g. Rocket player) but many people are dying for this type of sorting (just do a Google search).
I use MP3tag to tag my ripped dvd, and album artist is part of the default tagging options. It is really useful for compilation albums.

Do you plan to add a feature to change the speed of playback?
