Hi everyone,
I have been searching the internet and I'm a little frustrated of the lack of information, so I decided to post it here in the hope someone from the community can help me.
I recently bought a Blackphone 1 in amazon and I must say, it was the worst decision, as I can't use most of my daily apps (my problem of bad research). I tried to return it, but no answer, so no I am thinking of the option of rooting it and getting a new ROM that allows me to use apps normally. I never did it so I'm totally an amateur and would like some recommendations.
I checked some rooting options but didn't find any feedback about the blackphone. For a ROM, all I need is something stable, preferable with no high battery consumption and no unnecessary apps. I found this option: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-cwm-kitwax-4-4-2-ver-0-3-3-t2916966. Is is still a good option?

Hello fellow androiders.. I recently went on a removal spree after rooting my phone, thinking i could improve gaming quality by removing apps i think i didnt need.. The thing is i end up deleting apps and/or manufacturer tools, don't which it is! Now am unable to set ringtone, use gallery, access my sd card, except through an file explorer. Also playstore wobt download anything, its just their pending... Among other things..... I have a blu studio 6.0 hd D651u.. I would greatly appreciate any help given. Thank you!

Hey guys. I have been using the Oneplus One wit CM13 and I just got handed an HTC 10 from my friend, and after using it I felt quite restricted software-wise as compared to the OPO. I do know what are the advantages of rooting (Getting full control of the phone for starters). But i dont have the slightest clue as to how to do it, what software tools and equipment I need and what may happen if I succeed or screw up . Long story short, I'm a true newbie at this and would like to learn a lot before messing around and bricking my phone or something. So i just wanted to ask where I should start off and i'll be on my way and keep reading.

Hi There,
I've just got one of these Chinese phones and the stock ROM is terrible, has anyone else had one and put a better version of Android on it? For some reason it is forcing me to install certain apps from some random website rather than the Google Play store, and also if I do manage to install an app it puts the icon in a little box rather than displaying the correct icon. It would be nice to get Cyanogen Mod on it but I can't find it in their supported devices list, I'm hoping that as with most of these Chinese devices it's just a generic device that has been re branded by Xgody and therefore compatible with Cyanogen.

Cheers, would it be better to start a new thread or can this be moved?
OK so I'm trying to get a cyanogenmod ROM for my tablet, but it's so generic that one hasent been created for it. I need help from some developers because I'm a complete noob at android os development. I'd prefer to be taught, but all tutorials I have found say I need a previous cyanogenmod (which isn't developed yet for it). But if teaching is to much work than I'm happy just getting the rom developed. Thanks in advance and anything you need relating to the device I'd be happy to supply (is a generic all winner a23 tab with 4.4 installed, but I also have a backup for 4.0.4)

On my recent trip to Germany I bought a tablet over there as a surprise for a relative , it worked great for couple weeks then it started lagging and after a while It doesn't even boot . I tried factory resetting it but it would work for a day and same issue I figured it would be the firmware issue but after searching the net for days I cant even find it , The tablet's brand is " Jay-Tech" Model number " XTE7D" . can you guys please try providing me with a firmware or at least one that's compatible with it I really don't want it to be a waste of money
