Hey All,
Playing with my Note 5, and while I got a good ROM installed, I am looking for a good kernel(s) but cannot seem to find anything. I see Jovy23 has a Modified Stock Kernel but cannot seem to find any other active kernel development. I see Arter97 and UpInTheAir have had kernel development but that has since ceased, and cannot find any active links.
My question is what kernel are you guys using and is there any kernel development in the works?
I am using Jovy23's kernel at the moment, and am trying to track down UpInTheAir's SkyHigh and Arter97s kernel as well. (If anyone has them, i would greatly appreicate a PM )
Is disappointing to see that for such a great phone (and good ROM), the only kernel floating around is a Modified Stock one.
All the best,
R
You want Jovy's. There are others but use that one. Goes good with his latest rom.

SkyHigh kernel
Just did a search on AFH and found V4.0 dated 06/04/2016
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24566466246345064
Skyhigh can be found...xtreme kernel is basically built on skyhigh 3.2 as a base, so folks are having good luck with that, as one would expect...me? I'm using skyhigh 5.1 but it's a private build that I'm not at liberty to share, unfortunately :/

Thanks for idea, I don't know how I didn't search AFH, but after searching myself I found V4.3, which was uploaded like yesterday.

Hi all,
just got my HD and i wanted to share my daily used rom. It's just a mod of cm7. Themed at my own need. I just like the cm simplicity so why make it all dificult, i only didn't like the default theme and the themes provided with the rom, so i changed the framework to my own needs
I also added some apps wich i use to /data/local.
I'm not a dev, or serious cook, just a modder.
If you like the mod, use it, if you don't, then don't
Slick2HD-G V1.2
Download: Mirror V1.1
With the lordmod kernel.
Slick2HD-G V1.1
Download: Mirror V1.1
Included the Tiamat kernel, seems more faster (for me atleast)
Slick2HD-G V1.0
Download: Mirror V1.0
Any suggestions are welcome.

hi, did you made a test with nenamark 2? am curious about its results with this kernel as i allways had quite bad results on tiamat kernels.
please do not overclock. keep max speed as close to default (though it may be the next higher freq).
also an3dbench xl would be interesting.
Very nice and neet mod. thx!

Hello all, I just install CM9.0 in my Nexus S. Now I want to try an other kernel.
Which kernel do you use on the CM9.0?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
A majority of users will say stick with the CM9 stock kernel, but I use Matr1x cfs 21.5 and runs flawlessly.

Thanks for your reply, where could I download this kernel?
Could you help on installing it?
Best regards.
For me, the best kernel Cm9 are the Trinity and Matrix kernel.
Link Trinity --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036996
Link Matrix --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361477
Another option is the CM9-based INK kernel. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24469478
[KERNEL][GPL][19 JUN] 3.0.35 INK-CM custom |||CM stock
Hope this helps.

I was busy last night experimenting with a possible new look for TigerBlood. This one looks promising but I am somewhat worried that it will stray pretty far from the Bi-Winning Redux look. What do you guys think? Do you want a makeover?
Doesn't look bad. I am a color person myself.

I say make this into a theme for either KJ2 or KG2 and then take it from there(meaning, release as stock themed and/or make it its own ROM). That's just my opinion, though.
There's already too many ROMs based on KG2/KJ2 with just different skins/apps/themes etc - basicly they are all the same, so are we really need another one? That's only my opinion, of course. I'm waiting for Bhundven's release.

Yeah, skip it. I'll make it into a theme. I did make a discovery just now.
I took the firmware from the Epic 4G CM 6.2 rom and I'm currently using it on my Epic SK4G rom.
Just thought you all should know that it's working flawlessly.
EDIT: I wonder if I can use the entire rom with the Bali kernel? Hmmm.

I dont think whatsapp consuming more battery than my screen is a normal behaviour so:
After some googling i can see that maybe mobile radio active is bugged over mobile connection, so can anyone confirm if u faced this issue and how u fix it if yes?
Im trying to isolate this bug with my user knowing, i dont know how to get into deep logs or modify system cfg to do any kind of isolation...
So maybe this forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-mobileradioactivefix-t3189393 fixes my thing but is originally intended for LP and newest versions support MM, the thing is some MM users are reporting bootloops or nothing at all.
I dont have xposed installed either, sooo, ill be happy with any confirmation [emoji14]
