Best tweaks, mods, rom and settings for XT1032 - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
so with the revival of my XT1032 i'm looking to return to using my beloved device.
I'm asking for you what do you recommend for a mixture of performance and battery life? Currently on stock lollipop
This could be:
Roms
tweaks (Xposed, kernels etc)
settings ( i would ideally like to keep sync on)
apps
It would be handy to have an amalgamation of what the forums idea's are

[Q] leedroid 5.1

just flashed 5.1 and then patch.cant find cpu settings, shouldnt that be under tweaks?
Havent used lee in a while. Check for an app. Setcpu - deamon controller - something like that. Dont remember if you can tweak those things in his rom.

yes i used rom toolbox, just found it strange that it wouldnt be under tweaks. coming from cm7 that had a million settings to this rom that only has a few settings
Sense roms as miui tend to have less tweaking options.

AOSP JB recent apps style on Sense based rom?

is there a possible mod for it?
I'm running CleanROM 5.0 ( best for me, I love viper xl but i have horrible battery life with it)
I really like the original recent apps styles, shows more apps and more efficient, they have this on viper xl sense rom.
plus, on some aosp rom, there's a kill all button. Which is really useful for me.
I can't use aosp rom because I have horrible network when using them.
I've tested all aosp rom.
So Same questions.
Is there more ways that I can DESENSE the rom as much as I can?

[Q] ROM vs. Vanilla Android w/ Xposed Framework?

Just curious as to what everybody's thoughts were about loading and keeping up to date with a ROM (pick your favorite lol) vs using xposed framework's various modules to re-create a lot of the funcitonality we have in ROMs.
Just wondering if anybody had any really good points to lean one way or the other or if it's more just personal preference
Cheers

CM 12,"Lollipop Dream "

Kernels. Can someone recommend one please. I tried Elemental X for cm, but it loops. Tried it twice as I love the other versions. I don't like the built-in kernel. Battery is important as is settings sticking. I'm not afterthought best in the world, or want this to turn into one of those threads. Just advise and the reason for it. Thx.
CM12
franco.Kernel
You have to use SuperSU though as the CM-integrated Superuser conflicts with the FKU App. But the combination itself is awesome! Good performance and many kernel-side options like undervolting, color profiles, governor settings an so on
Also battery life is great as long as you don't install old apps / bloatware from the Play Store
I'll try it

How to have display temperature control??

Hey, guys. Is there any other ROM BESIDES PARANOID ANDROID that can give me the ability to control the display temperature? In Paranoid Android 5.1.1 (build 23rd of Aug) you get a slider in the Display settings that lets you control how the display looks. I really like this feature and it's the only thing holding me back from flashing a stock Motorola ROM. I REALLY DON'T want to install any blue light filter apps, like Twilight. They slown down the device. I use this feature to help me sleep better but I hate using 3rd party apps.
Alternatively, is there any way I can flash that feature into a stock Motorola ROM or any other ROM? Paranoid is giving me trouble and has no support anymore. Thanks in advance guys.
Even CM12 has LiveDisplay. If you do not want to flash anything over stock just install kernel aduitor and go to screen (This works provided you have a KCAL kernel). Here is a kernel for stock XT1032
