This is an Android system "feature". Google added it to comply with EU laws. The EU requires companies to warn of "excessive volume on headphones" to protect your hearing.
If you go into MX Player Settings -> Audio -> Enable System Volume Panel, this will bring up the Android system volume panel whenever you change volume. This will bring up that volume warning at 50% that you see in other apps, so that you can clear it.
The reason this doesn't show in MX Player normally is because MX Player doesn't use the Android system volume panel by default. MX uses its own volume panel, the much cleaner, smaller one that we are used to seeing.
The warning shows up on Google Play Music because that app uses the system volume. If you are on headphones with any other app that uses the Android system volume panel, you would see the same warning.
Note that you'll have to manually acknowledge that warning every time you restart the device, as the phone system does not "remember" that you cleared it when the device restarts.

My videos are showing up twice in MX Player! How can I fix this?
This is likely because MX Player's video folders are set to check more than one location that the SD card is mounted. Change your video volders to remove one of the SD Card mounts.

My device is playing Hi10p really poorly, even though it's a very new/powerful phone! What can I do?
1) Hi10p can only be played on HW+ for Tegra devices. No exceptions. All non-Tegra devices must use SW for Hi10p.
2) When using SW Mode:
--> a) Settings -> Decoder -> CPU core limit -> Set to max of whatever your device is
--> b) When playing video: Menu -> Play -> Use speedup tricks
On an image that should be white, I'm getting weird black "pepper" artifacts on the white area, how can I fix this?
If you are seeing something like the image in the spoiler, change your colour format to RGB-32.
Settings > Decoder > Color format > RGB-32

Wow, a very different design approach, I love it so far.
Some questions -
1. Does this player have a sound limiter enabled to avoid distortions?
2. Folder view - I like the list but would prefer a file browser method with file Hierarchy method. Similar to file managers.
3. Folder sort options - Ability to sort files in folders by date added - really helps as i add a lot of music randomnly to different folders, and when the folder size increases, this helps a lot.
4. Song/ Album art downloading - is this enabled? would be great if we can get album downloads with manual search and high resolution results.
Will definitely be keeping my eye on this player.

I used a lot of other techniques to avoid clipping and distortion instead of a limiter.
Because the limiter could cause unclear sound.

Please follow the guide inside app for how to record. you have to download mp4 karaoke song and put it into folder as instruction inside app. Download video with normal quality (360p) for record, it take long time to gender highquality video and could cause your device to be overheated.

Hey there, just wanted to say this app is amazingly well made.
I suppose I'll admit I share the concerns over how you're making money. Something as professional looking as this is has to have been a lot of time to develop and if it's closed source no one else can check to make sure that there's no malicious code stealing ad data or something like that. I also have to ask, what's the source for the music? Like, how do you have access to high quality versions of all these songs??
Questions aside, this app is great, very well done. Will certainly be interested in donating for an app like this to keep you afloat.

Will be glad if you do your part in spreading the app if you like it.
Okay so this app definitely deserves more recognition.. It is very well made and has a beautiful and smooth UI. Love the animated gif feature and dynamic lyrics.
I have a couple of requests or improvements that will make this app my main music streaming application.
1. I think the search option needs to be refined more. Mostly I have to either type exactly what I want, which means that the search predictions aren't helping me much. Or, I have typed out a popular song or album but whatever shows up immediately is anything but that album/song.
For example, if you search for Kamikaze, and you scroll to the album tab, it isn't immediately shown. Or maybe it's just somewhere deep down in the search results..
However, if you search for Eminem, click the artist and then see his albums, you have a much easier time finding the actual album than using the search option. (If you try my example search in practice, you'll see what I'm talking about)
Maybe the search algorithm doesn't take into account the artists you usually listen to and just shows everything that resembles your search term?
2. The ability to transfer playlists or complete sync with either Deezer or Spotify. I think this will bring a lot of users to your app and I'm pretty sure you're already aware of this. I also think this option deserves priority over the rest. I'm itching to bring forward my Spotify playlists
3. This is not strictly for me, but maybe an option to allow downloads to external sd card? I know a lot of people that use that option.
4. The playlists mostly displayed as recommendations are seemingly by users that aren't actively using the app? Perhaps they used the app in the past but stopped updating the playlists? There's a bunch of top 20 playlists from years ago that are severely outdated. I'm not sure how you would tackle this but I thought it was worth bringing up.
5. Ability to cast music to chromecast.
I think these are the main ones that come to mind for now. Apologies if it seems like I'm ungrateful or complaining, I'm simply reporting my findings. This app is honestly quite lovely and I'm happy that you have decided to release such an app.

Why this app constantly getting removed from xda labs??
The only cons i faced while using the lava music and now drift (new version) is that it is not optimised well ..the app lags ..drains battery fast.. and many times hangs.m

I appreciate your detailed response. Regarding this 2nd point, you can actually go the route of supporting playlist transfer with Deezer. People can then use a website like Spotizr to transfer their playlists to Deezer. I'm currently using Deezer and transferred all my playlists over from Spotify using that site. And I feel that ultimately, you would have to support playlist transfer from both Deezer and Spotify anyway.
I found an area of improvement. If I have selected a song to be added to an already downloaded playlist, the song isn't automatically downloaded. I have to manually download that song. Perhaps this can be a playlist specific option? Like a toggle that automatically downloads the song in that particular playlist whenever the song is added?
BTW I've been using your app as my main music streaming app since yesterday due to it having Indian/Pakistani and English music. I didn't realise this before. Previously, I needed to use multiple apps for these languages but you seem to have a decent collection of music in all three languages. And lyrics too. Honestly, this is so much more convenient than creating playlists in two apps.

First of all, Clear your App Data and you'll be greeted by the favourite artists page, choose Bollywood Artists. This'll be your first step to customise.
If you have registered yourself using Facebook/Google, then go to your profile>Edit Profile>Tags and choose 'Bollywood'.
Finally, listen to Bollywood music! The more you listen, the more the Playlists and For You list personalizes to your Music taste in the Discovery Section.
