Root on D850 20f

I've been hearing mixed responses, so I wanted to see if anyone knew what I should do to root my phone. I just purchased it used with 20f on lollipop installed, and I'm trying to root it. Are there any methods available now? If so, could you please link me? Thanks!
I wanted to to tinker around. However, on my first try, this worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
use towelroot to root then flash twrp recovery and flash any rom

Xperia Z3 5.0.2 Root Methods?

[Q] Root Methods!
Hey guys, Well i've got a question for you
I have an Z3 running 5.0.2 - 23.2.A.1.62 BL
And im thinking of rooting it,
How would you do it?
Flashing back to 4.4 and use Giefroot or just do Kingroot and replace Kinguser with SuperSU?
Tell me why you would?

Personally I woud downgrade and use giefroot and then flash a prerooted 5.1.1. rom
The reason why, because kingroot sends your IMEI to an ip address in China during the rooting process.
I agree: downgrade and giefroot etc. I did it yesterday and all is well

sony z3 d6653 lolipop 23.4.A.0.546 root help

i unlocked the bootloader but theirs no way to root without downgrading to kk..
is theres a way fo rooting with this update can i have it
im new to sony and had a bricked problem yesterday
played a little bit with flash tool and managed to get out of it with the Unlocked bootloader..
And you were aware of such keywords like "camera DRM", "TA partition", "backup" before unlocking, right?
I've aswered you elsewhere too, but, the procedure is kinda universal (for Z phones that is): downgrade to KK, giefroot, XZDR, update to pre-rooted LL.
What's your issue with that? You do it once and you just flash the next version, keeping data, but wiping dalvik&cache.
i didnt keep the drm backup...
now i dont think i can restore it
it doesnt matter all i need to do it to root this and have the full power to my self
done and rooted and everything works fine..now i nned toknow if theres any pure android marshmellow available??
...
To root with an unlocked boot loader is the easiest thing, just flash an insecure kernel.
As for ROMS, head over to the development section and take a browse there.

Unlocking my bootloader

Hi!
I have a Samsung Galaxy SM J100H with KitKat 4.4.4 that I would like to unlock the bootloader on.
The only tutorial that I can find online tells me that what is given will only work for a stock android ROM but not a custom like my Samsung touchwiz.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!
Sadly to see you've got no reply from anyone on here! I am also having the kind of your phone and I really need to unlock bootloader. Although I already have root on it.

I don't think it matters that you're on a custom ROM, custom ROMs don't change your bootloader, it still has the stock bootloader you had before you flashed the custom ROM.
Either way, you can flash back to full stock via Odin then follow the instructions you found. Then flash TWRP the flash SuperSU.zip in TWRP to root, then you can flash custom ROMs.
