I have tried 5 times different odin versions and CF-Auto Root and it fails. Last time my phone starts up with a message that i need to do emergency recovery with kies. But kies never detected my phone. I got samsung drivers and Odin connect with the phone just fine. But not kies i have tried troubleshooting in kies manys times and it fails. Used both kies and kies lite.
Are there any other ways to root my phone without the CF tool?
And do I have to be rooted to install twrp?
The phone is bricked now I have it on download mode. Tried downloading stock firmware from sammobile but they are always corrupted when using 7zip or winrar.
Many questions in one post hope you can help me out.
"Edit" Debug mode is on and OEM. But I dont know if that matter now when its bricked.

Hi everybody, Yesterday my friend and i were trying to upgrade his Samsung Galaxy Core (GT-I8260L) from official stock jellybean 4.1.2 to kitkat 4.4.4 unnoficial. We rooted it succesfully, installed Super SU, and BusyBox. Then we downloaded a TWRP file to flash it through ODIN. the flash was succesfull but when the phone rebooted it got stuck at the download mode. It doesnt boot, and we can't acces the recovery by any means. it just turns the screen on and show the download mode screen (picture attached).
We have tried everything, but the thing is that the device isn't recogogniced by the pc (We've tried in a win 8.1 and win 7 pc, but had no luck.). It fails to install the right drivers. we've tried to download almost every samsung phone drivers, but none of them worked. ODIN also fails to recognize it.
we also tried Heimdall, but when we try to install the drivers it does recognize the phone as 'MSM7x27' for some reason.
We also have problems setting up the 'SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device Driver', failing to make it work every time we tried to configure it (Automatic Windows Driver Install or Downloading it manually).
I hope someone can at least guide us through the solution or suggest a way to fix it.

I installed all the necessary drivers and odin and recovery on my laptop.
The tab2 is giving error on pc (this device wont start) mtp uSB. THe tab is stuck at 'samsung p3100' logo.
Odin wont recognize it.
I cannot get into odin mode or recovery.
If it is any help, I have a working p3100 also running on stock firmware.
what should be my next step? I think I can manage if only I can get odin to recognize my phone or get into recovery (both of which seem to be missing.)
PS: I had a thread running in the general forum but think I will get more and proper answers here.

I tried flashing stock ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S3 I-9300 using MobileOdin app and I got stuck on bootloop. I can access Download Mode but I can't access recovery mode . When I try to connect my phone to pc, Odin can't detect my phone even Kies. I tried installing/reinstalling Samsung Kies, install latest Samsung USB Drivers, using different usb connectors, etc. but still it can't detect my phone. What should I do? :crying:

Hey I have tried almost all the guides on this site for rooting Galaxy J500FN but it fails every time I follow the guide step by step and it wont work. Got samsung drivers and Odin 3.09 and other version it detects my phone. Last time i used CF-Root for this device it got bricked ended up with a blue screen that said that i had to use firmware emergency with kies but kies doesn't detect my phone it Never have connected with my device. Tried different samsung usb drivers but it just search for my phone. I know kies install samsung driver when troubleshooting but it still doesn't work.
Phone is brand new. This is the first time I have tried rooting this device but I have rooted many other devices with no problem. Its a Nordic device.
Hope anyone can help me out Phone is useless now.
