Before proceeding, please bear in mind that I'm a complete noob. I'd also like to apologise for any grammatical typo's or errors that you may find in my post.
Greetings,
I need help with few problems / things with my OnePlus One.
First of all, Im currently running my ROOTED OPO with Kitkat 4.4.4 along with Net Hunter v1.0 with TWRP as recovery.
Previously, I had experiences with Downgrading my OPO to Kitkat from Lollipop by following the method posted by a dev named Heisenberg ? ( Sorry if thats not correct, as I did this like a year ago ) by using Calkulins Stock OPO 44S version 1.0.
Now I'd like assistance in :
1. Removing NetHunter ( to install a fresh and clean copy of version 3.0 )
2. Upgrade my Kitkat to Latest Firmware ( Marshmallow i believe? )
3. Have ROOT access.
My main objective is to upgrade NetHunter to 3.0 but I believe it needs Marshmallow for that so, now my objective is to update my Firmware to Marshmallow.
I have no problem if I have to perform a factory reset that will wipe my data as I already made 7 different backups using 7 different apps ( Paranoia ? Huh )
I also have few ideas that I believe i can use :
To remove NetHunter, I believe I can click the Unmount Kali option in the NetHunter Menu. Later, I can try to perform a full unroot and then enable Stock Recovery and then later perform a full factory reset and then use the Android Stock recovery to check for Firmware upgrades and then upgrade them.
Now my major question is? Will this WORK ? - Probably, Probably not, so I'd like the Community to offer me some assistance in this regard.
Here is my current OPO settings :
Model No : A0001 ( DUH )
Cyanogen OS version : 11.0-XNPH05Q
Android Version : 4.4.4
Build No : KTU84Q

Before you muck about with your phone, go here and read up. You do need some basic info so you have less chance of surprising yourself if something goes wrong. It has excellent info.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/help/frequently-questions-att-lg-g3-d850-t2958216
Following that, fundamentally, I'd do a clean install. You will lose your phones data, unless you save via Titanium, or the like. You can get the LP files, et al, from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-20f-stock-rom-debloated-t3059610
1. unlock the phone via PC/ADB, then adb flash TWRP.
2. reboot phone, copy following files to phones external SD card (hope you have one)
modem
ROM
SuperSu
TWRP (already done but I do it anyway)
3. reboot to recovery and select the 4 files above from the install menu. I use the order above and works perfectly. Slide to install. Reboot into your system after the install. The initial install is very quick, after you reboot your phone to system, it will take some time to fully finish the install, 10 minutes or so.
4. Done. You will not have a direct menu to enter recovery after that, but get "Quick Boot" from PS, and that solves that.
This is how I've been doing LP, and no issues. I tried a dirty install, and had the same functionality as a clean install, except the dirty install had an Antutu of 23K. Previous I had an Antutu of 35-36K on KK. With a clean install on LP I have an about 40K.
.
HI, Did you upgrade to android 5.0 at the end as I'm stuck in the same situation?
I want to change the firmware of my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920R6) which is Verizon LRA device. I want to Install a stock rom like the rom of SM-G920V or SM-920F or SM-G920T..
How can I do that? which firmware will be the best for it?
I want to change rom because APN refuses to work - I edited a lot of files, tried every suggestion from here & other forums - nothing helped .
So I decided to change the rom in order to enable APN edit.
So, how do I change the stock rom of my cellphone to another stock rom? The SIM is working propley after I change some settings in serivcemode (So it's not CDMA anymore, it's GSM).
Please Help ! :crying:
Edit : BTW I used this in order to root the cellphone - so maybe G920T firmware will work? CF-Auto-Root-zerofltetmo-zerofltetmo-smg920t
My android is 5.0.2, please help.
Anyone?
This is a little off topic for the op but I really need help right now.. I rooted with CF autoroot for G920F no problem then installed TWRP 3.0.2-1 zeroflteusc also built for G920F model and in the process of trying to find a better rom as soon as I had a custom recovery, me (being a dumba**) accidentally wiped my internal storage to do a clean flash of a rom therefore deleting the only backup I had. I've only been able to find the factory binary for this device which I flashed but it had literally nothing exept for basic testing software and a simple ui to run it. It was also stuck on Android 5.0.2 but I found a compatible rom with AllianceROM v1 with update v2 flashed for the G920F but I can't find any way to update past 5.0.2!! I've been trying to find a way to update somehow for weeks but nothing is compatible with my device and I'm stuck. Would someone that has my model running on Android 5.1.1 or 6.0/.1 please install the TWRP I mentioned before and make a backup of the system, modem, efs, and boot and post it online or send it to me it would be a lot of help.

Hello evebody!
So , I own a HTC one m9 Sprint, and last friday suddenlty restarts and after it reboots, my signal (carrier/network) was gone!
Everything else is working (Blutooth, Wifi, etc).
At that moment, the phone was stock rom Android Nougat
The actual state of the phone is:
*Unlock
*Custom recovery twrp
*Custom rom Nougat
So, my question is: Can I just install a rom based on Marshmallow directly to a Nougat (via Custom recovery twrp) phone in order to downgrade it?
I already check:
✓ IMEI is correct
✓ Sim (work in other cellphones)
✓ Carrier/network do not have a lock in to my number
Hope someone can take a lookor have any tip in order to recover the signal in my mobile .
Thank you very much in advance guys!

Unless you're running official Nougat, I don't think it will be an issue to downgrade to a custom marshmallow via TWRP.
You, however, can't downgrade to official Marshmallow from TWRP. You'll need stock recovery for that.
In case you're downgrading to a custom marshmallow rom i.e LOS 13/CM13, it's better to check the corresponding thread for installation instructions.

Hello.
I have a Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) running on android 4.4.4. (I can give you more details if needed).
I need to install an application (EHTERAZ) which is a Qatari government application that only works on android version 6 and up (or IOS 13.5 and up).
Q: Is there a way to make the application work on my 4.4.4 android ?
Q: if not, how can I safely and easily upgrade my android to a newer version? (can you give me a full tutorial or video link)
Q: how to choose an android version that is most suited for my S4 that won't make it too slow or drain the battery too fast ?
Q: will I loose my files during this process ?
Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
It's the app developer who defines what Android version at minimum is required to run the app.
Upgrading Android requires phone's bootloader gets unlocked ( you lose all your data when doing this ), then a Custom Recovery ( what must be at 100% suitable to the phone ) gets flashed and finally via this Custom Rrcovery a Custom ROM ( what must be at 100% suitable to the phone ) gets flashed.
Hint: Add Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919 to front of this thread's title thus mainly owners of such a phone get addressed.

thank you for your reply jwoegerbauer. I'm not familiar with the terms you used (bootloader, flash, rom) so I'm not able to perform this by myself. Is there any tutorial or video you suggest I follow?
Greetings,
I succeeded in installing android 6 on my S4 and I made the application work fine.
I first installed twrp (twrp-2.8.7.0-jfltetmo.img) using Odin on my PC. I used twrp to wipe my stock system and to install the custom rom (cm-13.0-20161218-NIGHTLY-jfltetmo), in addition to Gapps (arm-6.0-pico).
As simple as that.
The latest twrp and the latest LineageOS that are (allegedly) compatible with my phone and listed in their official websites don't work on my phone, so I had to find older versions to make this happen.
Hello. Yesterday i installed latest OTA Android version (TB-J606L_S320030_210923_ROW) and noticed that it is really slow and it has even more bloatware that i don't want. I don't need to root it (because of bloatware removal) as i also need to revert it to default state as it was before update.
1. It is possible to find which version i had before this upgrade?
2. How could i downgrade system to previous version (i think it was Android 10 but i'm not sure)
PS: I successfully downgraded/rooted some devices but as every brand has it's specific way to perform downgrade, i'm asking here. Any advice would help and i'm aware of dangers of downgrading/rooting devices (bricking). In any case, it would be awesome to also link unbricking guide for TB-J606L, just in case It's always better to have plan B.
Update: I found source of roms for my device but i can't recognize which versions are old Android 10 and which are the new Android 11.
