4.4.4 Problems With Dialer - Solution Found!

I installed 4.4.4 using the no-wipe feature with Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit.
Now my dialer is acting crazy. I click on the phone icon, then click on the dialpad icon and then I get a blank screen. See the photo. Then I go back to history and click dialer and then it shows up.
Does anyone have a solution?

I'd say factory reset, or fastboot flash the factory image.
Or maybe clear the dialer data in apps.

Go to developer options and make sure that animations are on.

Wow!!! That worked!!! It worked fine in 4.4.3 but I guess it's a problem with 4.4.4? How did you know about this solution???

I had the same problem too (with 4.4.x).

I don't know how you figured out that the animation settings were related to the problem, but you're a smart guy. Not many people would have thought of that solution.

I had to adjust these settings too after the update to 4.4.3, so it is a known solution already

Thanks for tip, i had this isues with CM11 on both of nexus 4 and now nexus 5. I need tap dialer icon twice to pop op numpad. In my case seting animnation speeds to 0.01x solved that issue and that ugly animations are still off as before

and here i was wishing for a new PEOPLE app..

I'm running CM 7/17/2014 CM nightly.
I did a factory reset from the last stable release. On flashing into a nightly my storage has disappeared. I've tried flashing 3 different nightlies.

It's been awhile since I've played in custom ROM's, is there a better one out there.

Philz or TWRP
The reason I ask is because this is a symptom of having cwm and taking backups.

i want the stock without rooting my phone..

Without root I don't think it's possible but you can use apps like power toggles, or if you root you can do this using gravity box without needing any costume roms

theres no way to do it on stock without root.

Threre a way to do that with stock rooted?

If you don't want root or custom ROM, just wait for Android L. Its integrated.

AOSP-L status bar icons

Has anyone seen anything to change the stock AOSP roms status bar icons to L? Here is a link to what am talking about really don't want to make them lol

Root device.Install xposed framework.install gravity box. .... Gravity box has the option.

I don't think there is another way.... If I'm wrong then someone will post it.. But I'm pretty sure that's the only way unless you install lollipop...

I'm on slimkat, But I know I could mod the icons etc change everything. Just was out browsing around looking for a app that would change status icons but guess we don't have one like that yet. Unless we give up ART and throw on Xposed.

I would like to change the look of quick settings panel like on the screenshot above.
I'm on LolliROM v8.0 by Albe95.
Can it be changed somehow?

Post a screen shot of yours but if its similar to yours jus click the edit and a whole list will pop up

You need a s6 port rom to have s6 style of SystemUI look, if not impossible for that till now.

You need an S6 ported ROM of course. For your phone, there is Albe95 and Manu's Astra ROM.
