Hello, I am a NOOB, and...
I recently rooted my lg g2, vs9803aa, using the one click root, but haven't actually flashed any roms on it. I put autorec on to flash twrp, and also had titanium backup on there i was looking at to try to back it up. I restarted the phone earlier today and it is just blank screen now. I try the hard reset and it just buzzes in my hand once and no logo appears on the screen. When i plug it into the computer it generates a bunch of local drives that need formatting, and on device manager it shows as QHSUSB_BULK. I read in other threads that it matters what rom you are using for the possible fix, but i never got as far as flashing one, or recieved an OTA.
Thoughts please?! I really don't want to get a new phone, but at the very least for now I swapped the sim to an old phone, droid 4, for temporary use.
Thanks for any input.

HI Guys,
I've seen similar threads, so I'm sorry if I'm adding clutter, but I can't find anything that works yet.
Stats:
LG Phoenix P505
Android 2.0.3
Windows 7
I tried to do an upgrade to CM10 a while back, and I almost bricked it. I found this thread and tried it several times. Not sure if it worked or the phone corrected itself, but it was communicating with my PC.

Now all I wanted was to do a ROM backup with ROM Manager. That's it. Just thought it would be a good idea to back up the system. I select the operation and the phone reboots (expected). First I get the LG screen (normal), it skips the LG animation screen and goes to the Service providers animation screen, and gets stuck in a loop. I let it go for almost an hour in case it was actually doing the backup, but figured it should have been done by that time.
I reboot several time and ended up at the same place. I then tried to do the above thread again, but at the command prompt it kept saying, "waiting for device". I uninstalled the LG drivers and re-installed with the same results.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Hello, I've flashed many ROMs and the specific one that I flashed I have used in the past. I was resetting my phone and re-installing the ROM and then (after a successful installation) rebooted the phone. It rebooted a couple of times and then went to a black screen. The Galaxy logo didn't even show up.
However, when I plug the phone into my computer it still is aware that something is being plugged in, however ODIN cannot detect it.
I'm assuming I'm hard-bricked but I'm wondering if you guys know what I can do about it before I have to send it anywhere. And if I do end up sending it somewhere, where should I?

Hi there everyone, recently signed up on here as xda seems to be the holy grail when it comes to all thing smartphone.
I'm fairly new to these type of phones and recently was given an infuse 4g that was suffering a power button problem.
The power button problem has been resolved with a new one and the phone was working fine for 3 / 4 weeks.
One day the phone shut down by itself and entered the boot loop syndrome. Factory clearing it hasnt seemed to do anything to resolve the problem as it continued to reboot continuosly.
I came across the thread about gtg ultimate unbrick guide in the developers forum and this seemed like a good way to go, get the phone all the way back to stock and then work from there.
Kies installed and all drivers installed fine. downloaded the gtg unbrick pack and followed the instructions line for line. Odin reports everything passed, took about 2:59 to complete.
phone rebooted and continued to do boot loop so went into recovery as stated and wiped data and cache and rebooted again.
phone is still stuck in some sort of boot loop, but it gets to display the 1st of the setup android phone screens, then just as you get a chance to select next to go onto the next screen, the phone reboots.
Any one have any idea what could be going wrong or as im fairly new to this, is there anything im doing or not doing right that is causing this.
The phone is an at&t infuse.
regards
Trevor

I've already replaced the power button with a new one, but the technician i use did say he will remove the power button completely to see if it does the same, just to rule that out

just redone the gtg flash and it boots into the os (ver2.2.1) and then within about 5 seconds turns off and reboots
can the new on off switch be faulty......im not so sure as in recovery mode, i can leave it on that screen forever and it doesnt attempt to reboot
Tried the one click repair with hemdial or what its called, updating thisnpost via a moto defy mini so excuse any typos.. The hemdiaOl just seemed to meas it up further. So got baxk into downliad mode with odin and reflashed to gtg brick recovery. Not fixed, still booting but at least the screen is now viewable.
To recover one of these phones, is there like a definitive guide as to what to do to first prepare one of these phones for recovery, ie, first, flash to this with cwm and then clear data, cache, dalcik etc. like an idiots fuide, i feel i may need one
Regards
Trev
I'll start from the beginning, II was rooted and I wanted to speed up my phone so I tried to use SWAP. I never got it to work for some reason but then out of no where I was on the home screen and then my phone rebooted but wouldn't start again, it got stuck at the T-Mobile 4g LTE splash screen. I was still able to go into recovery and all that. So I decided to format my phone. The. That screwed it up even more because then it got stuck at the Samsung Galaxy light start up screen. So then I used Odin and flashed a stock rom. But that still didn't help it got stuck at the T-Mobile splash screen again. I went into recovery and it said era error. I managed to fix that and that went a way. Then after an hour of searching I was able to boot up my phone because some forum said all I needed to do was spam the volume up and down buttons at startup to get it to work. After that I set up my phone but then I was getting any 4G and I couldn't make any calls but it said I had 5bars. I kept getting a message saying not registered on network. Nothing would make it work. I called T-Mobile and I went into setting tried fixing my apn, tried connecting to T-Mobile again but nothing. They just called me back today and after I gave them my i di number they said it's not working because I rooted my phone. It doesn't have a bad i eu or anything it's just not working. I did see that my imei on my account is different than the imei my actual phone displays. I am able to do wifi calling and that works. So obviously something got jacked up when I formatted my phone. I want to know if anyone can help. I didn't back up my efs because I didn't know I had to, the only thing I've rooted before was my tablet. I have a Samsung Galaxy light SGH-T399 . Can anyone help. Ik my thread was long but I wanted to kae sure I got every little detail.

Good news is, that we have a forum for your device on xda: Samsung Galaxy Light Discussion.
Bad news is that it seems that your IMEI (and maybe your EFS data) is corrupt/lost now.
Here is a guide how to recover your IMEI: [GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps.
Hopefully it works on your phone too.
Good luck !

I successfully rooted my LG G Stylo (MetroPCS) using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/how-to/guide-lg-g-stylo-how-to-root-t-mobile-6-t3333916
but I did something I shouldn't have.
I changed the permissions for my system folder using a file explorer and as soon as I confirmed the changes my screen went black but my phone was still on because when I pressed the sleep button it would vibrate. I couldnt get it to turn off or start working again so I took out the battery and put it back in. Then when I booted it up it would take me to TWRP and I started messing around in there. I accidently wiped everything, including my OS so now my phone wont even boot to TWRP it just stays at the LG Logo. I read you can flash OS to phones but I don't know how to do that now that I can't boot to recovery! Any help please?
