So I updated to 6.0 and then installed lastest twrp. Everything was fine with that. Then i installed TWRP and then i went into recovery to flash Supersu and now im stuck on the red verizon screen. I went back in and wiped cache/dalvik and im still stuck on the screen. Any help would be woderful! thanks

Yeah my bootloader is unlocked and i'm S-Off. I ended up restoring a previous backup. But if you have any suggestions as to why it happened that would be great. I would like to try and get back on 6.0 again. Thanks!

I don't really have any suggestions as to why it happened. As I'm new to HTC but not rooting or flashing stuff. But when I recently got my m8 it was on 4.4.2 and I just used the ruu from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/official-ruu1-55-605-2-t2883845
And I downloaded the 6.0 ruu .exe file and ran it from my laptop and it worked perfect. And I had already unlocked the bootloader and had s-off when I did it. You'll just need to reflash the latest twrp and super su.
Edit: that thread is for Verizon ruu's just to clarify

I used the same one as well. Where i ran into the problem was when i went to flash SuperSU. Everything updated great and twrp flashed fine as well but when i went into twrp to flash Supersu it got hung up on the red verizon screen.

I flashed the latest beta which I believe is 2.74 and didn't have any problems. What have you tried? Maybe try a different one.

I'm not sure, but I do believe there were others that had issues with the latest superSU. The version that seems to be okay is v2.65.
There's a link for it at the bottom of the OP in this thread. Just a thought. I've been researching a bunch before updating to MM6.0, sorry I don't remember where I read it.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if I install clean rom on my rogers phone if I will have all the AT&T branding? If so is there any way to remove it?
Also I have rooted and flashed my phone with cwm. How do I got about flashing roms? On my captivate I booted into recovery mode and selected install from sd card. Is there a way similar to that for this device or do I have to use the cmd promt?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
You can use clean ROM I'm pretty sure it's de branded, but I'm pretty sure you will need to get a superCID first. There's a one click method in development. As for flashing yes it is the same, but I would recommend you use TWRP in the place of CWM. You can find a flashable zip in the development section as well. Just flash TWRP through CWM and your all set. Would link the topics for you but I'm at work. Just head over to dev section it's all there. Also if you want a Rogers based ROM I'm using king cobra 1.2 and I like it. Happy hunting.

No reason to change a Rogers phone to superCID. Just flash the rom of your choice in recovery.

back in the early days of he HOX ( a whopping month ago) you had to flash a BASE before you could flash a rom. It has since been discovered we can flash kernels and boot.img in the ROM without a problem.

Wow thanks a lot guys. I got everything figured out! Trying out a couple of roms thanks!
By chance does anyone know how to multitask on the cobra rom? I've hit the multitask button on the phone but apps don't display like they used to?
Wait just so I can get something cleared. I just bought a stock rogers phone I should...
1. Unlock bootloader via HTC Dev
2. Root
3.supercid?????
4. Relock my bootloader and flash 1.85
5. unlock boot loader and flash cwm?
6. Flash rom of choice and profit
I'd like some clarification too
I'm in the same boat. I have a Rogers 1X currently on 1.73
I have rooted the phone and supercid. But I'm curious as to how should I proceed.
What are my next steps?
1. Unlock bootloader via one-click method
2. flash cwm
3. Flash latest cleanroom?
Any help is appreciated
I have Rogers HTC One X on 1.73. I thought it was:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Root
3. Get CWM Recovery
4. Copy Cleanrom ZIP to SD Card
5. Follow instructions on the CleanROM thread.
What is this SuperCID and relocating boo loader stuff about?
Those of us lucky enough to be AT&T customers have to trick HTC into letting us unlock our bootloaders. Supercid lets us do that. If you have a Rogers phone you don't have to worry about Supercid.

2.flash twrp recovery
3. copy custom rom to sdcard
4. flash rom
5. profit
I would also supercid after 1-5 is done.

supercid is a good safeguard for us since the rogers ruu is a POS. it allows us to be able to ruu an att ruu if something goes horribly wrong.

What is twrp recovery? I heard of CWM before. Is twrp when you go into fast boot and select recovery from there?

TWRP is an alternate recovery that is actually supported on our devices.
So you guys all recommend twrp? And I don't have to root first, I can just unlock the boot loader and proceed with the steps listed above? Also I plan on installing clean Rom 4.0 is there anything else I would have to do? Thanks for all the help.

i recommend TWRP because it's officially supported and it's easy to use.
After you unlock the bootloader you can flash a recovery. being rooted doesn't matter since your going to flash a pre rooted rom right away anyways.

I have soft bricked my phone 3 times due to my recovery not sticking. I followed the OneXRoot.com instructions. When I flashed the TWRP on the terminal ( I use mac) it says sending ok booting ok then boots onto the recovery. Once I restart the phone and try to get back in recovery its either a bootloop or black screen, phone and red triangle. I've tried ./fastboot-mac flash and boot with the .IMG file name. Please help.

That's hopeful. Do what gunnyman said. If that doesn't solve your problem than see if you can get Windows running via Boot Camp or the risky virtual machine.

I think a good first step is to verify you're rooted and the bootloader is still unlocked.
pushing an image to the phone SHOULD fail if it's locked but stranger stuff has happened

Ok so installing TWRP through GooManager WORKED. Thanks. That's one issue fixed. Now flashing another Rom is the issue. I've tried slim ics and cm9 and after pushing the img file ad flashing Rom in recovery I get an error. Something about assert failed. Any idea what that could be?

Google says error 6 means an error in the updater script. Since other people have used it with no problems, I would guess a bad download.
Try redownloading the ROM. Then push it to sdcard using adb while booted into recovery. Then try again.

It was a CWM one in the Beanstalk 4.4 forum...was going to flash via adb, BUT I never did it because once I got into
fastboot computer stopped recognizing the phone so I gave up on it.
When flashing any recovery, make sure its the one intended for our device (EVITA not ENDEAVORU) as this is a common mistake. Although, it sounds like your problem was something different.
The official CWM is fine to use (I was using it for a while) although TWRP is more commonly used on this device. On TWRP, if the ROM you are flashing is not rooted, it will give you the option to root it when it flashes, which is pretty nice.
So I just recently got my new One X after breaking my previous one. I got it back with S-Off and changed CID which I thought was strange. I unlocked the bootloader but it seems as if recoveries won't successfully flash. I don't get an error while flashing either. I assume that because of this, I'm not able to install superuser. Any suggestions on what I could do? If more information is needed, let me know.
