Will turning off this setting and AOD allow Doze to activate? I have a feeling that Samsungs app power saving doesn't really help the battery much and that it could interfere with Doze.
Thoughts?

I thought Doze was always on and only comes into effect when your phone has been in idle for a while. Not sure if there is a way to see if it is turned on or active.
It does but unfortunately a lot of people seem to think that Samsung ****ed up and that it doesn't work properly on the S7 as you'll see in a lot of threads. I have heard that in Android 7.0 the dozen feature has been improved so hopefully that will improve the standby time.

Just curious what is considered normal for android OS usage? Mine shows 9-20% range when I check it under my settings.

It's a Russian botnet used to topple the UN!
Haha, but, seriously, it's just the underlying system processes, such as brightness regulation, network regulation; you know, system stuff.
Edit: Oh, I thought you asked what it was. I feel like an idiot. Mine is around 19-20, but that's because I have a lot of crap tacked onto it.
All I have is Facebook and twitter and they are set to manual everything. Do you think that this looks normal? It used to be at 4% up until last week and it's really bothering me. I haven't downloaded anything new.

what it does?
its a prank. dont it
This must be a joke
Just a thought but wouldn't it require system access too?
The fact it requires access to the keyboard and the internet and uses a wakelock would suggest a keylogger app to me, but then I'm a suspicious little bugger, and a shift worker who just woke up...
yeah... april fools

Today is the day when you should take nothing of any importance seriously.

I was racing this weekend and connected to my GoPro wifi to control recording with the GoPro app. I kept getting the warning above which was incredibly annoying because I already have too much on my mind on race days. Is there any way to permanently disable this message?
Maybe the magicalbox that says 'don't show this again'

Click to collapse
Thanks for the condescending advice, but if you look at the screenshot that's not all it says. The checkbox doesn't solve my problem.
If anyone wants to be helpful, I'm still wondering.
I've not had to deal with this yet, but maybe try disabling background data.
Hi
I have some issues with my GSE6 during the lasts months... I don't understand why my "cell standby" uses this much my battery (and I don't understand why messenger is there because I just opened it once and close the app).
I took some screenshots to show you my battery stats.
I have to say, my phone is international, and I tried to turn off the wifi calling and the VOLTE but wifi calling doesn't seem to be in my rom. I'm stock 5.1.1 (rom and kernel), rooted, using greenify, amplify and deep sleep battery saver.
If someone could help me, I have a lot of work with my phone every day and it annoys me to have to bring my charger everywhere I go.
Thank you

Appears to be a security update.
Any particular improvements noted, apart from Jan security update?
Will I lose root?

CF Root still works ... im uploading latest firmware
I am getting some weird screen flash when unlocking after this update. Mostly annoying. Everything else is fine.
After this update , voice to text no longer mutes Bluetooth music while you are speaking... So you have to compete and talk over it. Also when screen is off and you place the phone on wireless charging, Samsung Pay tries to open.
