I missed the boat on rooting my phone since I thought marshmallow would be coming and I assumed that upgrading then rooting would be less of a hassle for some reason, and now I'm in this situation with the locked out 6045I alcatel fiasco. I've been reading through all this broken english and and unclear guides saying "use mobile upgrade Q" and "the eluga suite can downgrade one's idol 3," but I can't seem to get the official mobileQ software to downgrade (are there even any non on-rail buttons in that program or is it seriously just a binary forward/backward application) or find a proper download link for eluga using xda's own google based search. i have phrases I explicitly remember reading on these forums the search cannot pull up at all such as "eluga software suite."
The latest upgrade q I could get my hands on (5.0.6) only refreshed my install to 6.0.1 and I'm desperate to learn if it's at all possible to downgrade to lollipop to get my bootloader and fastboot back. Thanks in advance

The latest is 5.09...available right on the main mobile q page..1st link.....As recently as 3 days ago it was still reverting folks back to lollipop because I did MY phone. If it's now restoring to 6.0.1 it's a very recent change.

This of course means all the software suites will upgrade to the latest firmware right? No hope for using an older version by chance?

Just reboot ..wait to boot and then you get message encrypted device just press reset and then will reset wait to boot and that's All??
Yep, it all worked out, but I had to turn off my phone first and finagle through eluga minimal adb+fastboot to get twrp flashed and then booted. I tried installing the hotfixes(+fastboot+/mm) and the radio update and one of those two (or the coinciding supersu installation) caused a softbrick for anyone reading this i guess you only have to install the updates if you need them? i dont really know. either way thanks again, thread resolved.

How did you solve the 40016 error ??
Kuryaki, apparently you don't. Just allow the Eluga to do its work, and then when it's done you'll get that error code. Just ignore it and boot up your phone, and then it will ask to 'reset phone'. Then reset it and go from there.
Does any one have the stock radio ? After switching to panasonic firmware I have lost my LTE

Can you please explain what exactly did you do with minimal adb and fastboot to get twrp flashed since I'm having the exact same problem as you, first my phone was broken after flashing CM 12.1, then I tried broken Idol 3 solution which AlekDev suggested, but I got same error message (40016) as you while I was installing that panasonic thing on my Idol 3 6045K and now it won't boot up, it only shows "powered by android" black screen. Also, I'm a newbie here, so detailed explanation would be much appreciated Thanks in advance!

Hello.
I'm very interested in a cyanogenmod for the Bedove X12 too. The stock rom (4.04) is very laggy. I guess is almost impossible to get one because is a chinese unkwnown brand, right? Do you know if there is any compatible out there?
You can root this phone with MTK droid tools, it is easy.
Hi.
Yes, you are right. I found a tool here that easely rooted the phone (compared to HTC Explorer, that it was a very tedious process for a noob like me). But what I would like is to improve the stock room. The thing is that I saw this phone with a custom rom (ICS 4.0.9 I think) in videos and even in the store I bought it (pandawill), but eventually it cames with the original chinese Bedove one, and as I said, it's laggy as hell. Do you know some compatible from other phones working in this one?

Hi I just received my phone. It arrived rooted.
There seems to be a few things stuck in Spanish language though. I wish I could put a custom rom in it to make sure everything is English.
It is a nice phone for the money!

just google for mtk tools.
you also need the drivers.
i think tparkyroot will work as well.
just read stuff first.
i used mtktools and it made the phone slow and trashed camera review.
i then rebooted recovery and wiped.
then all was ok.
this phone rocks!

For me it is just great: it came with Android 4.0.9 'ICS', perfectly perfoming and I've got no complains but the short lasting of the battery (~6~7 h) althought it comes with two.
The only issue is that I haven't figured to root it yet or to find specificly working ROMs (maybe CM or so may do) and that's why I'm here, scrolling down.
Highly recommended, anyway.
I'll keep on it.

Por mi, ĝi estas simple bonega: ĝi venis kun Androido 4.0.9 'Glaciaĵa Sandviĉo', funkcianta perfekte kaj mi havas neniun plendon krom tiu, ke la baterio daŭras malmulte (~6~7 horoj) kvankam ĝi venis kun du.
La sola afero estas, ke mi ankoraŭ ne lernis kiel radikigi ĝin aŭ kiel trovi specife funkciantaj ROM-oj (eble CM aŭ iu tiel taŭgus) kaj tial mi estas ĉi tie, legante.
Tute rekomendinda, tamen.
Mi daŭre esploros.

I have it for three weeks now and it's great. The sound using earphones headset isn't really good but nothing you can't solve with equalizers or other apps (I use Google Play Music to play music )
I haven't rooted it yet (I'll need to explore more about it) but I really recommend it.

What has happened is that instead of reading more, I've gotten into the material and as the TV show "I have bundled brown". I put a rom that does not work well, at least the recovery is active.
If someone has the original rom and can do for me a backup to restore my device, I'll thanks very much.

Try booting into your recovery mode and do data/factory reset.
This WILL wipe your contact on you phone and such, but for me it deleted all the chinaware and took litterally ALL the lag away!
hope this helps!!

Dear Members,
there is a CWM recovery for this phone, which I prepared based on bgcngm thread.
You can find it in the following link: http :/ / data. hu/ get/ 6183784/ Bedove-X12-CWM-recovery.img
(please remove the unnecessary spaces from the link, due to the fact that I am new an cannot post direct link.)

Can you please explain how it is possible to install this?
I have a stock 4.0.9 Bedove X12, I rooted it, I tried to install this recovery with SP Flash Tools, it prompted me "BROM ERROR : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL (5054)"
Now I have not access to the CWM recovery, neither to the original recovery. The phone is still working in normal mode.
Is it possible to download original 4.0.9 firmware anywhere?

I modified the the recovery. (modifications are in bold.
The modification was about
ro.secure=1 --> 0
ro.allow.mock.location=1
persist.mtk.aee.aed=on
ro.debuggable=0 --> 1
persist.sys.usb.config=mass_storage,adb
persist.service.acm.enable=0
persist.service.adb.enable=1
persist.service.adb.root=1
And now, the explanation of the CWM installation.
If your phone is rooted, then you can use Mobileuncletools (free of charge and can be downloaded from PlayStore).
And follow the instructions, described here.
You can also see the pictures, attached to the post I linked.
Good luck!
If your phone is not rooted, then you will need to do a more compicated way, via SP Flashtool.
Let's try the first option (Mobileuncletools)

Thanks a lot, I have this phone (rooted 4.0.9) and now I finally have access to a CWM recovery. I used MobileUncleTools as you suggested to install your recovery file, and it was simple and fast.
I've read various tutorials and multiple rooting apps: KingoRoot, SRSRoot, SuperOneClick, Rootkit, ERoot, so far I have been unsuccessful.
Using SRSRoot did say Root Complete SuperSU installing, however definitely not rooted.
Anyone had any luck rooting Blade S6? If so, what worked for you?

I do not believe everything is written in a unknown site. And if it is not present on xda, it's a fake [emoji6]

Fake, infinite surveys so the webmaster earns $'s depending on how many surveys a user completes.
Although I too not have found a successful root method, the closest I've been is to install SuperSU beta and booting in recovery mode.
However since there is no custom recovery for the ZTE S6 at present, you are unable to "install from Zip".
Once this is available, we should be able to root.
I'm also hoping that someone would help us root our phones. I believe it's easy now since the kernel image is released?
i've come across this root method for the LG G3 running Lollipop.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772
maybe it'll work on the Blade S6.
i don't own one yet. i would need it to be rooted.
i think once it is rooted, someone will make the effort of porting a custom Recovery for this device and maybe more developers will buy.
i think this is an amazing device for the price. Android 5.1 will be amazing on this as its built for dual sim but i don't think ZTE will bother.
need custom firmware.
Plus there are some people out there that do not trust ZTE or any other Chinese manufacture for that matter and say they contain spyware. for all those that are worried about that a custom firmware such as a pure AOSP port would get rid of those doubts i guess. personally i don't care about such things
So, what's up with this rom
http://rootmygalaxy.net/safely-update-oneplus-one-to-android-6-0-marshmallow/
I've installed it earlier, it looks like 6.0, but on device info it says 5.1.1. Anyone else have any experiences?
No, That is CM12.1 that is Anrdroid 5.1.1.. Keep checking XDA eventually a ROM will come up!
Of course it's a fake.
AOSParadox's effort to bring Marshmallow to our Bacon is being reported as if they have actually done a bootable build. Not yet, more work must be made, thats a fake

Don't trust anything from that site. We've seen a lot of spam posts pointing there the last few days, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
*Sorry Guys!!!This is Not a Marshmallow ROM.Now we have tested it and it is still in Lollipop.Some guy gave us wrong info sorry for that.Keep Visiting we will Post the Marshmallow ROM Link Very Soon. - See more at: ://rootmygalaxy.net/safely-update-oneplus-one-to-android-6-0-marshmallow/#sthash.dOY8qT82.

Very reputable site. They posted it without even testing or doing any research, their source being "some guy" and they provide a direct link to aosparadox download, which is still up. Zero integrity, avoid these guys
Yeah, I haven't seen a single ROM yet except one really janky ROM that didn't even have a proper zip or working mobile networks lol
All sites have wrong download Link
I have searched For Marshmallow for OnePlus One and all top sites in the google search list have the same ROM download link.Its not only rootmygalaxy.net, but also sites like androiding.how and theandroidsoul.com which have the same link.There is no Marshmallow available for OPO right now.

Why even bother looking anywhere except XDA? Those sites are all useless, they post this bs purely to get traffic. Plus, XDA will have 6.0 first anyway.
like this?

The link for the download is just to one of the mirrors for the experimental build already on XDA. I really can't wait for MM to drop in some form for the OPO. Maybe XDA will be sorta back to normal again
I hope this is the right thread.
Hello bois, I got a QiKU 360 N4 which is a pretty sick phone for the money I paid it.
It came out recently on the chinese market and its bootloader is locked.
I googled a bit and found some tutorials tho unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, because somebody compiled that already! Awesome, right?
Too bad are in chinese, yeah.
Google translate doesn't help that much, it is incomprehensible, and even if it did help: I am required to sign up to the chinese forum to read the whole tutorial (which requires me to understand how to sign up) and from what I understand the procedure makes use of a software running on windows to enter the bootloader and such software is in chinese only!
So I am looking for some kind soul who could translate the procedure and, if possible, reupload the necessary files somewhere so people like me wouldn't have to sign up to the linked chinese forum to get them.
In exchange I can offer some tips on health and fitness for I have a master in sports sciences. Or, I could offer you a beer?
P.S. sadly xda does not allow me to post links, can link in private... I guess.

The tool they use is to unlock the bootloader and it's a proprietary tool.

Here is how far I have come. I assume you have to download a bunch but at least the company gives you information. I've heard numerous people who buy Chinese phones and are stuck with whatever software they offer.
Yeah there is no chance to write a custom rom because the kernel source is never being given by Mediatek.
However having the ability to backup and play around with the stock firmware is great.

True, I like how it has become a meme that "I'll die before mtk releases their sources".
Any more news on this? Loving my N4 so far, but would like to install TWRP and gapps, but not quite sure how. Have read somewhere that Kingroot has worked on other Qiku/360 phones but haven't got that far myself. Any chance you could send me that link to me too, your googling skills are clearly far superior to my own!
Hi.
I wiped my data from the stock recovery and now i am stuck at boot logo.I don't know how that happened.but i think i have to flash stock firmware which i cant find anywhere.
Qiku forum is unresponsive and there is no other place with info of this rare phone.
Help me out here please
help me please! I.want to unlock my QIKU N4S, but i can not download from chinese forum. thank you a lot!
Bootloader unlock - HERE
Found some ROM's also .... Althought, You'll Need TAMPERMONKEY and Baidu Download Script for Tampermoney
ROM'S - HERE and other Tools + rom's HERE
There is a whole Qiku N4 forum but it's in chinese .... didnt have time to bother with it,
since it requires to be registered ...
And, as bonus ...
I found Russian modified ROM's ....
HERE for HW version A01
and
HERE for HW version M02
TWRP Recovery - HERE
Check HW version of your phone, if you want to flash roms and BEFORE screwing it up.
Hope that's enough for now ....
p.s. Be carefull what are you doing and flashing into phone. Links I posted are from third party sources,
people reported they are working, but all you do - you do on your own responsibility.

Hello Alex,
Those links are sadly down.
Do you know any other link to a stock N4 image and scatter file that I could use to factory-reset a pattern-locked N4 ? I got my hands on a discarded one, but the factory reset option in recovery mode requires that cloud account be first deleted, which I can't to because of the pattern lock.
Thanks !
EDIT :
Sorry, I spoke too fast. I gave another try and the links are up, though in chinese. I'll try to get what I can. Thank you !
I am Chinese

Is the cell phone on your hand 360n4? This cell phone has two versions of 360n4 and 360n4s
Yes, it a 360N4, not a 360N4S.
What I'm trying to do is follow that howto : http://www.cnroms.com/360-n4-061-unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-recovery.html to downgrade it, then factory reset it and install TWRP.
However, I can't read chinese (can't even tell whether it's cantonese or mandarin). Google Translate helps, but most link seem to be broken, and when they're not, the download speed is abysmally slow (several days…).
Is there any way you could help me ? Maybe get the needed files and reupload them somewhere faster ?
I see

Hello everyone,
i'm here today to ask you probably the most impossible question in this world i guess... Can somebody tell me where can i get a stock rom for my honor 8 FRD-L09C432 with emui 8.0?? I think i visited like every site that could have it but it's disappeared from the whole web... Every site has a 404 or is completely down (hisuite included) and the only file that i found was the update file from emui 5.1 to 8.0...
Actually my phone has a custom rom (won't boot, it's broken) and custom recovery (twrp that luckily still works). If someone can help me in any way i would really appreciate it. The best thing would be a magic link that let me download a magic .zip file with the stock rom, but at this point i'm open to every type of solution.
Thanks everyone and have a good day
Hi, I've got the link for you, but the download speed ain't too good, I couldn't find a better free link for it.
paid links cost about 50cents though.
the version is 8.0.0.562 (C432) for L09 devices,
here's the link
hope you can use this.

I have to thank you so much, I wasn't able to do nothing with my phone and I decided to search an original update but I couldn't find it anywhere, but finally I found your message and finally my phone works again
The only problem was downloading the file from the host, I had to download at 150KB/s, it was slow as can be,
but I really appreciate that you shared the update, thank you man
