Need a better/reliable service for Samsung Region Unlock ? - Android General

Hi I'm from India,Kerala. We have a large number of people working on gulf countries so a large number of gulf handsets. And most of them are Samsung, and most of them are region locked. In the past it wasn't an issue thanks to XDA i used regionlockaway.apk to remove the region lock but it's not possible now with the new handsets.
What I'm asking here is a cheapest yet reliable way to unlock the phone. I think there is no software trick out there which is free so I'm willing to pay but I want to know the most reliable and most cheapest services out there If anyone know please do help.
Thanks in advance :good:

How does unlock work?

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to unlock my phone from T-Mobile to use with European operators?
There are tons of websites online that ask money for that and I need to provide them with my IMEI, does it really work? Do I really need to pay for that?
Thank you for your help
Try ringing up TMobile and ask them for it(tell them that you will need to use different carriers in other countries during your travels)

What is unlocking ?

Hi,
Guys can anyone tell me what is locking/unlocking devices ??? I live in Egypt, but one of my relatives lives in America I'm going to send it to their home so they can send it to Egypt, which site should I buy from ?. What if I unlocked it will I still have to pay and by unlocking it means I can use anyother carrier ? Software also will be as the international device ? Is it illegal ?
I need any piece of information anyone can help ?
Thanks in advance
Unlocking your phone means your phone will no longer be "tied" to a carrier.
For example I have a T-Mobile Vibrant (from USA), that I use in Canada on Wind, because it was unlocked.
It is not ILLEGAL, (some countries yes, check with your local laws).
I know unlocking blackberries was difficult (from my experience) and you would have to pay a couple dollars for it.
Other phones you just click a button and its unlocked.
Choose the phone you want to buy, and google phone name + unlock.
Hope that helps.

[Bounty] Regional Sim Unlock SM-N900/N9005 and more..

Hi,
I have been searching and reading everything I could find on XDA for hours and hours daily and it seems there is no real solution for the region lock. The N9005 has limited success and the locked SM-N900 has had almost no success. It is already possible and Chainfire has demonstrated that you need to clear the networks blacklist. Surely there is someone who can implement this for all models or at least give detailed enough directions for other people to do themselves. Current unlock services are charging anywhere from $20-40 and some phones like my SM-N900 can't even be unlocked.
I am starting a bounty hopefully this gets some talented developers attentions and we can get somewhere.

where are you from? all the exynos note 3 here are all unlocked, only the 4G ones are locked but not in all stores...
Region lock
I bought the phone in the US- it is the SM-N900 Latin america version and it is region locked. It seems all SM-N900's except the ones from Asia are locked: Middle east, Africa, Latin america etc... And I am sure this is only the beginning. It seems many people are having problems with all of the other version: N9005, N900Q, N900T and all those other models...
I see no reason this won't work for the S4 either. It just needs to be explored more...
N9005 Region Lock can't be unlocked
I have purchased my N9005 in Europe and have activated it there.
I then inserted an Israeli SIM card, installed the RegionLock Away but unfortunately it doesn't work. Still locked.
I have also approached some Unlocking paid services but no unlock codes could be found for my IMEI.
Any more creative ideas on how to unlock this stupid and abusive Region Lock?
Same, seems there is no solution for i9500
If you guys want to encourage a developer you might want to join in on the bounty and offer to donate...

I am exactly the same situation, I have a SM N900 from Amazon thatregion locked to the America's and Caribbean. I am serving in western Africa and do not have access to an USA Sim card. All measure to SIM unlock this phone have failed. I ordered a T-Mobile sim that I am still waiting on delivery but I do not have a lot of confidence that it will work. I hope someone can come up with a practical solution. I would be more than happy to add $30 to the bounty!

Anyone know how to decide that issue?

How do these paid carrier unlocking services work?

I've got a relative in China, and the prices on Taobao for many phones are simply unmatched. I'd like her to order a ZTE and a Lenovo phone and mail it to me. Problem is, these sellers claim that it's locked to a particular Chinese carrier.
This got me researching whether and how I can unlock a phone on my own. Useful information is quite scarce, so I am reaching out to the amazing XDA crowd, hoping that I can pick somebody's brain.
My hope is that the fact that so many paid services exist already and seemingly proliferate means that SIM unlocking smartphones isn't impossible, even if you're simply a power user. Are they using one of these hack boxes, a special algorithm? Can you learn how to do it with any phone, and are all locks created equal?
Cheers for having a read!
Most zte phones can be unlocked for fairly cheap price, but are some models that can not be unlocked specially if locked to a Chinese network (codes to western countries are more easily to find). The best thing would be to decide on a certain model then ask about the unlock and could give an exact answer

ZTE V967s and Lenovo A760, and cheers for responding.
This 2 are fairly new phones and for now there isn't a way to get unlocked, depending how popular are in a few month a solution might be available, but until then if you get one of those and is locked you will probably not be able to use it.So for now would recommend if you want this models better to get directly unlocked

SM-G930T Galaxy S7 T-Mobile SIM locked

Hi everyone and thanks for the time to read this.
So, recently I purchased a Galaxy S7 from a co-worker. After bringing it to my house I realized it was SIM locked to the T-Mobile carrier. He bought it already used and sold it to me, so I can't unlock trough the T-Mobile customer service.
After an extensive search on the web I found a few paid solutions (unlock sites, Chimera Tool, some android apps). But since I live in Brazil and not the US they end up costing three times their original value due to money conversion.
I found out that you can extract the unlock code from the phone itself through some softwares ( i.e Chimera Tool). So I ask you: there's a free way to do that? I appreciate any help, thx.
Tl;dr: Need a free way to unlock SIM without contact to carrier (T-Mobile)
HI.
I a having this same problem expect. I am however from the usa. I moved tmoblie has no service in new area. They refuse to unlock my model is sm-G930T. Please anyone with any odeals on this problem let me know...
After searching a lot I found a website that fixed the network lock for me. It was also cheaper than the competition. unblockmysamsung.com
It took only a couple days to fix and I did through Paypal so if it didn't worked I could have asked for a refund.
Unlock method
Hi, can you share how you/they unlocked your S7? I was suppose to avail or their service i dont want anyone to remotely access my computer. Did you root the phone or something? Is this something i can do for free or i really have to pay for their service? Thanks!
