[Help] Handling boot services, startup apps

i'm a newbie and i'd like to work on a custom cyanogen 6 for my G1.
the problem i'd like to expose you is about a barebone system:
following the wiki
- i remove all unecessaries apps from /system/apps
- re-write signature of the CM
- flash it on my dev
what should i do if i'd like to modify an .apk??
for example:
if in my barebone CM i remove LatinIME.apk and LatinImeTutorial.apk, whenever i reboot my device an error popup display 'till i go to /setting/Lang&Keyboard/ and i disable Android Keyboard.
the system popup error is " Error loading com.android.inputmethod.latin "
how can i avoid system check for com.android.inputmethod.latin at startup?
is it possible to modify setting.apk and simply delete the related menu voice??
if yes how can i do?
if no what should i do to solve this problem?

[Q] Do I need to enable all 'disabled stock apps' before updating my system?

Have disabled almost 15 stock apps on my non-rooted Nexus 5. Would a System update go wrong when done without enabling those apps?
Probably a noob question, but had to ask since official Android L 5.0 update is around the corner
When updated from 4.4 to 4.4.4 I've disabled some system apps too. But it doesn't make a problem, all works fine.
OTA fails if you modify system. Disabling apps is not modifying system. System cannot be modified without root.

[ROM][GUIDE] Lenovo P90 S150 220518 ROW - Firmware & Recovery Pack

I currently do not have permission to use url links in posts (new user), sorry.
I will add the links when I have permission to use the feature.
Google search: Lenovo P90 S150 Needrom
----
ROM:
P90_S150_220518_ROW - The package also contains a temporary TWRP recovery.
Official S149 ROM, de-bloated, de-odexed and updated.
Download: MediaFire -- Needrom
----
Updates:
Added MusicFX sound equalizer for wired-wireless headphones (stock bug, missing profiles).
Upgraded several Lenovo apps, compass, gallery, launcher, share and sync.
Moved non essential G-apps to data-app, enabling full removal.
Fixes:
Improved CPU and RAM clean, and added CPU ability lines to build.prop.
Added Bluetooth low energy support, files originally missing.
Added missing, essential G-apps library's and apk's.
Enabled device casting, originally disabled.
Issues:
None, all stable.
----
Final pack.
----
Tips:
To fully clean RAM (except the Google services, Google other, hog) without any extra apps you can do the following:
Settings > Apps > Running > Stop all (Do twice) > Options key > Cached > Stop all (4 times, roughly).
Now swipe to: All apps > Options key > Clear all cache > Exit settings > Quick clean.
Edit "ro.com.android.dateformat=dd-MM-yyyy" in "build.prop" to change the lock screen date format.
Once you copy the file you will need to chmod it to "0644" using TWRP recovery.
----
P90_S150_220518_ROW is complete, and there will be no further changes. I had to undo some device re-names in build.prop, this is because they are tied in with various system apps.
If you feel like changing the device name, don't, only the build date and Lenovo version can be modified, however other settings can be changed or added.
You still will see "Uncertified device" in Google play settings, this is because Android is version 4.4.4, and related Gapps are also version 4.4.4.
Certain apps will not install or function on android 4.4.4, unless they directly support it, due to modern android changes.

If you are using MTK Extractor to make "system" images, the total size is 2560mb.

Hi, i have downloaded & tested Your ROM, i found that you are make big mistake to replace almost all app to ARM library, which are originally X86 library, this rom will only download ARM app from google store, and you also replace the lenovo launcher to ARM, it will make This phone battery drain all the time due to using ARM google play service and lenovo Launcher in ARM library.
It is NOT RECOMMEND to Use THIS ROM and will encounter many compatible isssues such as facebook, whatsapp in ARM ...
U have to replace the google play store to Modded Play store version 6.0.x (from lucky Patcher ) to let it detect and install the right X86 app. Sadly your ROM dont even include SuperSU.

How do I prevent system update after inadvertent clicking of system update notification

Hi everyone. I'm currently on Android 10 and unfortunately I inadvertently clicked the update from the notifications - I haven't clicked the prompt to "OK" which is saying my phone will be unrooted after updating, and I immediately force closed it and restarted my phone.
I understand Android 11 is still full of bugs and does not yet support TWRP so I don't want to update yet.
I also disabled automatic system updates via my developer options.
I also froze the following via Titanium: dynamic system updates 10, system update 2.1.3 and system updates 3.0.5.
1) Is it safe to freeze those three apps?
2) Have I done enough to prevent my phone from downloading the system update to Android 11?
Thank you
