I am having a very weird issue. I have 6 android devices note 3, note 10.1 2014 (2), note 4, Tab S, S4, and HTC Desire. Some devices are rooted and some not. Some are WiFi only and some are LTE devices. On all of them, Google maps gets stuck on "searching for GPS", irrespective of location (indoor, outdoor, different zip code).
I have tried everything from clearing cache for apps to factory resets.
Any help would be appreciated.

An initial search brought me some threads that you may find useful:
google maps stuck on "waiting for location"..
Gps not working, stuck at " Searching for GPS"
Samsung Galaxy S2 Stuck Searching for GPS
There are plenty more with many other suggestions to overcome the issue. I suggest you to get used to our search engine.

Hi,
I have a issue on my Korean Galaxy S4. It displays the signal with sometime 2 or 3 bars or even full bars but there is no network connection at all. I go to the roof top and it works fine but as soon as I go to room the network is gone yet i have full bar signal. My other devices Korean Samsung Galaxy S2 works fine inside room though.
About 2 weeks ago, it didn't even show any bars but I did search a lot and finally I changed its setting in "Hidden Menu" and now i get bars but no connection.
Some blogs and sites tell that it's the problem with Android Version 4.4.2 yet I am unsure about it.
This is frustrating.

Sounds like you just don't get good enough reception indoors. It happens. But you could ask in the S4 section for other ideas, Here...

I thought so too but really this is different issue. When you have a full bar network signal but no connection you seriously get no idea what to do

There isn't always a solution. Sometimes it's hardware, or no one just has an answer. Be patient and hopefully you'll get some suggestions. ?

hi im new to this and i apologist if there is aready a thread for this, i poked around and couldnt fine one so i though as just ask for help.
just got my note 4 and it has nfc capability.
was hoping it would be possible to use the NFC to scan things like my apartments gate key or maybe even my bus pass/train pass to be able to re-transmit from my phone so i would always have those on me via my device.
ive found a number of apps that appear to let you scan the NFC cards like my gate key but thats where it ends, cant figure out what to do next or if its possible to be able to use an app to transmit and actually use the info ive scanned to open the gate.

Hey guys,
like I said in the headline i got a huge sound problem with my HTC. Since 6 month the phone don´t want to play any kind of sound. It doesn´t matter if you want to play music, watch a video, to do a phonecall...nothing will work. The mic is broke too. So in my mind it is a software problem because a few month ago the sound worked sometimes. After I did a factory reset, everything was working but just for a few hours.
It is not just the sound...the phone can´t get any HSDPA connection. EDGE is the maximum...don´t know if there is any context.
Until now I tried a lot of things like factory reset, flashing a new rom, a new radio but nothing worked for me. (I attached my actual setup)
Anyone an idea what causes this issue? I am helpful for every answer.

My Galaxy s4 has been having wifi issues from yesterday and the wifi doesnt work although mobile data works. Although some websites such as bing.com and youtube.com work, Google and yahoo don't work. My son has a galaxy s4 and he has no issues with wifi. I've already factory reset my phone but no luck. This is so frustrating because I cannot use internet on my phone!!!! Please Help!!!!!!!!

I am Brand New to this forum and still do not know my way around, so I hope no one berates me for asking a question that belongs somewhere else or has already been covered somewhere. I could not find an answer. I will learn.
I have referenced XDA to find several answers in the past.
My Tab 4's GPS no longer locates satellites. Yes, Location is enabled. I have installed and worked with two different programs, both called "GPS Status", and an app called "Faster GPS" which promised to solve all of my GPS problems - but did not. I have enabled the use of wifi info to "help" with location, but it does not help. My Tab 4 is rooted but I don't mess with it too much at all. The last time I know that my GPS worked was on a flight from Houston TX to Knoxville TN this past March and it worked fine. It has not worked since then.
I have spent hours now trying to find support for this issue and it seems I am the only one who can't figure it out. Hope someone can help. Thank you.
