Here I Am Back With An TWRP Update 3.0.2-0 For Lettuce aka Yuphoria
Introduction
TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. We also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.
Team Win was originally formed to work on porting WiMAX to CM7 for the HTC EVO 4G. After our work on the EVO 4G we wanted to work on a project that would work on more devices than just the EVO 4G and we settled on working on a recovery. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.
A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like OmniROM
You can find the source code for TWRP at github.com/omnirom/android_bootable_recovery/

Fixes Needed.
Hey,
This recovery image doesn't boot up to recovery or it boots occasionally.
After flashing in fastboot and then needs to hotboot and then keep pressing volume down to boot.
or if flashed from old TWRP and booting directly to recovery with volume down pressed.
and this is not normal.
Hope you understand that we have to maintain our forums and get rid of threads that are not mature, so that community doesn't get into any kind of problem
Thank you.

The command you're using is for Yureka and your device is Yuphoria. Right?
So the flashing command will be:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x2A96 flash recovery name_of_recovery.img

Hello experts,
My Honor 6 H60-L02 bricked due to incorrect update. It seems to me I tried dozens of packages already but nothing helps. So it's accessible over fastboot only and it's impossible even to charge it.
boot is unlocked for sure
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
are executable without any errors
at another point
C:\2017>fastboot erase boot
erasing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.004s
C:\2017>fastboot erase system
erasing 'system'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.004s
C:\2017>fastboot erase cust
erasing 'cust'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.004s
and then it's impossible to install UPDATE.dat with 3 buttons from SD card. I see only:
Func No : 10 (FUNC_BOOT_KERNAL) or
Func No : 9 (FUNC_BOOT_KERNAL)
Error No : 2
Could anybody provide the solution. I bought my Honor just six months ago :crying:

unfortunately, this way is not suitable for me. If I use multi tool kit restoration I get error like "Your device is not supported. Please send it to Huawei service". That is why I am looking for advanced method.

I had exactly the same problem with honor 6 l02. I couldnt flash anything through fastboot,i had the same errors and also func boot kernel too, and it didnt charge. I tried everything, and then took it to a service center.they told me they bypassed and updated. The phone is working now almost normally.the only problem is that i still cannot flash any image through fastboot. So im telling you ,your phone can be recovered,i just want to know the way too... it seems everything started when i had flashed ar recovery for model l04 and messed up partitions... Forgot to say that my bootloader is unlocked
I have the same problem.. Func No : 10 (FUNC_BOOT_KERNAL).
Bootloader is unlocked but each command failed with error: `FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)` (I don't understand why I can't flash things)
Is there any solution?
if you can flah twrp?? you can flash a custom rom available and can proceed further..
but charging is something related to bootloader... as long as bootloader is accessable, phone must charge., else its a faulty hardware (i think, but im not sure)
Perhaps you should try the DC Unlocker method I've read about in the forums. Fixed some really bad cases of hard brick. Not free tho.

Hey, i had this problem also once. I tried everything, but nothing helped. I sent it back to the store, where i bought it. They repaired it somehow and i had to pay nothing. Either I was lucky or they are taking warranty not so serious.

Unfortunately, factory repair file and flash empty board or by testpoint not available for H60-L02. I think this is a blocker to engage "DC unlocker"
Man believe me or not i dont give a **** i want to help ! I have the exact problem 100% you describe and non of multi tools can flash rom ! I download offical rom for L02 and flash it via DC Phoenix ... and now phone work! check my profile if you dont believe me i am member since 2009

No doubt, I believe you. But how to did you pass the last step of restoration: "Disconnect phone from PC and restart to end the process" ? Unfortunately, it's impossible to charge my phone. It can be accessible when it's connected to PC only. If I disconnect it I have black brick
I simply press down and connect usb to pc so i see the fastboot mode and after run Dc Phoenix ! Before this i use unbrick function of multi tool and phone always show only red battery indicator for ever ... after flashing

Oppo verify is fastboot screen
No key to boot into recovery directly Blame realme for that
you need to boot into fastboot first then recovery or via magisk manager
Hi,can you help me.. After I reboot using command adb reboot bootloader..it stuck at 'oppo verify pass fastboot_unlock_verify_ok' .. and then I enter fastboot reboot command, and it says waiting for any devices.. I've unlock oem and usb debugging already..

is your verity enabled?
EDIT: At what stage does it reboot? Google logo, G logo? Where does it reboot to? (bootloader, or does it try to boot up again?)

you would have had to disable it on flashing vbmeta or the beta image. If you didn't then it is enabled, which is causing the issue possible. Try flashing your vbmeta like below
Code:
fastboot flash --disable-verity vbmeta vbmeta.img
EDIT: it will NOT force you to wipe doing it this way

Probably not. I didn't do anything special to verity. I'll have to check when I'm back in front of my computer

yeah, that isn't how you install the kernel. I have instructed them to manually flash all partitions in OP
Didnt look that far, just looked at his screenshot and assumed you made a bootimage.

I see the G logo with the moving progress bar below it. Then it reboots to the beginning ("the bootloader is unlocked" standard warning, then the 'Google' logo, then the G logo animation, etc....
I tried (fastboot flash --disable-verity vbmeta vbmeta.img) and it responded OKAY. Booted into the phone. Then tried flashing kernel via EXKM and rebooted. But same bootloop. Tried a few times.

After unlocking my bootloader i tried to flash twrp on my phone by using the command "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.7.0_11-0-instantnoodle.img"
When i restarted the phone it got stuck in a bootloop
I've been searching for a way to fix it for hours now, but everytime i do something it feels like i make it worst, now my phone is showing me an error that reads "the current image(boot/recovery) have been destroyed"
I dont know what to do, please if you have an idea of how to go forward reply

It's telling me to get a "download package". Do I have to pay for this?
First, are you sure your device bootloader is unlocked?
Two, are you able to enter fastboot menu?
Three, if you can enter fastboot, try to BOOT into twrp instead of FLASH
Example: fastboot boot twrp.img
Booting into TWRP is the instructions for the OnePlus Pro 9, maybe it may work on the 8?
MAKE SURE OEM lock is removed first!!!

Has old firmware you can download / flash. You can use a tool called Payload dumper on the firmware to extract all the sections and re-flash the sections you messed up. Can you get into the bootloader / fastboot screen and show me what it shows?
Re-download the twrp file for your device, rename it to twrp.img and try to do this command
Make sure you also have the correct drivers installed on your pc and disable driver signature enforcement:
fastboot boot twrp.img

Ok the fact you can enter into this mode and it says device unlocked is good. I am not sure why it doesn't allow you to boot with the above mentioned command into recovery.
Please make sure like I previously mentioned you have latest platform tools, latest oneplus usb drivers and try to switch to a usb 2.0 port on your pc or laptop. Disable driver signature enforcement in windows before you try to install oneplus drivers.
I've should have mentioned this earlier but i'm doing most of this on a linux machine, but i have repeated the commands on a windows laptop doing everything that has been mentioned previously to similar results
Now when i try to boot Twrp it just hangs and no changes happen on my phone
.\fastboot boot twrp.img
Sending 'boot.img' (67276 KB)
and then nothing happens
When i try to flash recovery it also hangs
.\fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
and no response
I'll try this with a different cable and update this post

I think you corrupted a bunch of stuff when you used a linux machine to flash a recovery. The drivers are vastly different on a linux machine. You might have to use a MSM tool at this point, but I am not sure if the T-mobile version has one. Keep us updated on the new cable. Also try different usb ports as well.
Which android version did your phone have? I checked the official twrp website and it only supports A11 devices for oneplus 8.
@Provenscroll EDIT: I was just testing different slots a/b on fastboot and realized that when I changed to slot a, my inactive slot, I get the same error as you did with fastboot. Try to use the other slot if possible.

So i tried this and it successfully flashed:
.\fastboot flash recovery_b twrp.img
Sending 'recovery_b' (67276 KB) OKAY [ 1.638s]
Writing 'recovery_b' OKAY [ 0.212s]
Finished. Total time: 2.093s
When I reboot into recovery though it just ends up at the boot/recovery error

My android was at 12 so that might explain why flashing twrp isn't working

Yes I would try it on A11 first. But don't quote me on that because there is a reason I don't like using carrier based phones instead of fully unlocked phones. They come with unpredictable problems. Try at own risk. I would first try to boot into TWRP first on a11 firmware and then flash TWRP recovery with the option: "Install Recovery ramdisk" then select the .img file you downloaded from website. You can also use: Go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP.
But the problem is: you need to be able to BOOT first into the recovery.
Heck I would try to boot with the a11 twrp right now just to see if it loads instead of using the flash command, if it boots up its a good sign but it probably won't have decryption support, all your files will look like random numbers. Your bootloader is unlocked so common sense dictates it should be able to boot the twrp.
Fastboot boot twrp.img
EDIT: Well I tried to boot unofficial a12 twrp onto my device and it didn't boot into it. So it might not work for you either. I am on stock oos 11 and the a11 version is the only one that boots.
This link might be able to help:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-for-oneplus-8-8pro-official-beta-3.4341707/
I noticed at this link, they have different .img files then the official website. Give it a try. They mentioned flashing instead of booting, so it's slightly confusing.
Ok so I tried flashing a boot.img file I extracted from a payload I got from here

and now theres a recovery screen:
I tried using format data to see what happens since my important data is already backed up, when i did this my phone rebooted into a setup screen but when i get to the point where i have to setup my network the screen hangs and the phone restarts. Maybe this is because the roms model number doesn't exactly align with my phone?
I got it in twrp!!

Ok I am not sure what you should do at this point: flashing the recovery while in TWRP or simply booting into it future wise. I read on t-mobile devices, if you try to flash it might brick it but I am not sure.
